Arabs don’t exist in Morocco, people of Morocco are Amazigh (Berber). The Arab invaders were kicked out in the 8th century after the Amazigh people defeated Arab invaders at the battles of Nobles and the battle of Bagdoura. Majority of Moroccans speak Amazigh while minority are arabized Amazigh who claim to be Arab. Those two dudes who said nomads are dumb ignorants.

Morocco is like a less crowded version of Spain, for people who are family friendly and less party oriented but still want some sun, warmth and ocean. You just have to mind that you need to avoid the very touristy spots (after visiting them once for the culture or history). Afterwards you should go to less popular places likes the Southern coast beach cities like Taghazout etc.

The guy who told you (Nomads) is not correct, because he seemed to have no knowledge of the meaning of the word!
That language "tamazight", those lettres called "Tafinnagh", which is the alphabets of tamazight...! The term "nomade" as you know refers to people who are constantly moving with their animals in search of water and grace...and these are in general folks who are in desert ....! So, these kind of people " nomades" could be in different countries stretching from southern Morocco all the way to east Africa in the desert stretch....! Berbers or the proper name Amazighs are the original people of Morocco along with Jews...!
Welcome to Morocco and God bless Scotland and Morocco.
You have to bargain..this is a must in Morocco. If he told you 200 DH, give 50 DH and keep going .he will call you back....! Unfortunately, this is like a bad habit we have here in Morocco...Just bargain on everything thing and every item. Thank you for visiting our country

"Caliente" is hot in Spanish, has nothing to do with Arabic. Amazigh people are the native people of North africa, they are the extreme majority of population of Morocco. It's sad if you're a Schottish and don't know about Imazighen. Most of Imazighen are NOT nomad as the stereotype goes.

That was delightful to see ! However I'd like to highlight something and make things clear for others, the chickpeas pie is actually called (Karantita/Karan) and it was originally prepared by a Spanish crew inside the fortress of Santa-Cruz during the Spanish invasion of Algeria ( Western/Northern parts of Africa) when the crew couldn't find any other ingredients due to difficulty of finding food, they mixed few items including chickpeas flour and they got this amazing chickpeas pie which is often eaten too hot so you can have a better experience of tasting and they used the Spanish word (Caliente) to call it, with time this word changed to align with Algerian language so it becames ( Karantika), with time this Karantika spreaded alla across north western Africa and eventually entitling it to be one of Algeria's street foods delights and with time getting fame across Morocco
