The shawl is beautiful. What an amazing gift created whilst in a state of turmoil. My love to your story teller/shawl knitter and her daughter. Thank you for your happy video today. 🇬🇧
Beautiful episode! The shawl is amazing! I can't imagine making one! That is so awesome she sent it to you! Congratulations on your 200th episode and beyond! God Bless your week!
What a wonderful podcast! That shawl! So beautiful and that story! I still have tears. I also love knitting for others. Gives me so much joy. It's been a great week and am looking forward to next week. Blessings, my friend.
Loved this episode, the story, oh, so moving, and the shawl - a perfection! Devin, you are a paragon of a knitted gift recipient. You should make this video a separate tutorial on how to become a totally knitworthy person. I think that every knitter who knits for others deserves to have someone in their life who appreciates knitted gifts equally well as you. And if they do not, they should all just send handmade gifts your way.
😂😂😂 What an awesome comment, Adela! I think this is probably true of most knitters! We know what would go into knitting an entirely LACE shawl WITH BEADS, and can’t help but be humbled by receiving it! ❤
Thank you for the lovely words, Devin. The pattern is Wild Swan by Lisa Maigaard & Nim Teasdale. You featured it in a Knitting Fantasies segment sometime last year. The yarn is Yarn Bee Rainbow Wrapsody, and is 60% cotton, 40% acrylic. I love the feel of it too! It is a pleasure to use my time to make things, and a blessing to share them with others who appreciate them. I wanted to attend the retreat this year, but God knows better and had other plans. I just started a new job two days ago, so won’t have vacation time for a few months. Next time, I’m there!! Sending extra hugs for you and your family. ❤❤❤
That shawl is gorgeous! I really want to learn to knit with beads. I’m definitely enjoying my Pumpkin Chai balm…but my favorite is last autumn’s scent Red Flannel. I REALLY want a tin or three of it. 😄
I used your Guage switcheroo and it looks like it's working on my Marseille cardigan by Coco Amour Knitwear! I'm using a locally dyed merino that is slightly thinner than the recommended yarn. Thank you. What a gorgeous shawl❤
Devin, your balm saved my feet this week while I was traveling for work. I had to wear dress shoes, and my feet just aren’t used to that anymore. I put a little on my ankles and toes where my shoes were rubbing and it prevented me from getting blisters. Before bed, I applied the balm more generously to my red, angry heels. The next day, they were almost back to normal and ready to withstand a little more torture. I’m so glad I had it with me!

Beautiful gorgeous shawl! I always enjoy your podcast every Sunday during lunch. The sock story of 2 heels was funny but we have all done such things.

Yes Devin that was me! So happy it’s helping lots of people. I developed it for a sweater class and now use it all the time in my shop!

Wow! Thanks so much, Colleen! What a testimonial! ❤❤❤
Am I first? Wow! Hi, knitters! 🫶🏻💛💛💛
If anyone needs me I will be camped out by the mailbox waiting for my advent. Then how do I resist the urge to start opening early. 😂
Here in NZ (and Australia) 8ply means Double Knitting (DK) so I would assume the same for the yarn used in the christmas trees.

Hello from Swansea, Illinois. ❤❤❤❤😊 The shawl is so beautiful, I would love to know what pattern was used and the yarn. I would love to knit it.
great episode! would you consider doing a kit for your benedicta pattern?
Oooh, that’s a good idea! ❤❤❤
