Love it . He was really counter wound towards the target. Some say he even set up his grip where it was counter wound towards the target. He would resist his hands and arms coming around for as long as he can. Knowing he was so counter wound towards the target. Massive torque and a whip lash effect in the ball
Your instruction is awesome Chris! Setting up with awareness of the trail shoulder and it’s pointing to the target has narrowed my misses considerably. Your videos never disappoint man!
Apricate the comment. It makes a world of difference when you actually really know what to do. You hear people all the time say that feel is not real, however when you start doing things correctly it is astonishing how much that BS line goes right out the window. Everything starts with awareness.
You are a god. I just really wanted to say that. I rarely, and I mean RARELY subscribe let alone write comments. I've been playing golf for about a year (started really taking it seriously 6 months ago) and I've been struggling with my swing using the "modern" teachings and I always knew that it shouldn't feel this awkward. I stumbled upon your channel by accident as my recommended feed is usually all golf. You teach in such a "matter of fact" kind of way with common sense motions that just feel right. I've applied your teachings during my time at the range and just wanted to state that THIS WORKS! I have not been so confident behind the ball like this, EVER! Still training the muscle memory but miss hits usually just do a push. It just feels right. I will make sure to give you a shout out, Chris, when I win the masters. Jokes aside, I truly appreciate you opening my eyes to how much more simpler golf can be when taught perfectly.
Wow. Glad you are watching and sharing. Thanks so much and I am glad you're here. All jokes aside, why not the Masters, LOL. Again thanks for the comment.
I get this! Makes sense. I’m putting all of this together like a movie script. Now I have to go watch Scarface again and slow mo “say hello to my little friend”.
Hi Chris. Been watching you for a couple years now. I have the backswing down perfect in rehearsals. I turn through perfectly in the downswing with a hip rotation. Everything moves perfect. It's magical. Here's the problem, no matter how much i drill this, when I'm over a ball my habbit move is rear shoulder out to ball. It's like and inch then my mind goes oh shit, stands me up and flips at the ball. I feel like when i think rotate hips in downswing this gets magnified. Should i feel a lead shoulder move like following the downswing path you talk about? Is this a terrible idea? Please help. Ps. Saving for your Hogan course. Money is tight right now.
Wow. Glad you have been watching. I think the best way for you to change your tendencies is to watch these 2 videos. First: ruclips.net/video/VXExTJlaXBM/видео.html and then second: ruclips.net/video/FUvkusPs_7I/видео.html Of course all the details of how to really put all of this amazing stuff together, in extreme detail, are in shown and explained in the MC. Hope to see you there soon. The third video which will help you make the changes you are seeking will be coming out some time this week so keep an eye out for it. But make sure to watch the 2 videos above in order as they will provide you with solid information to start making those changes. If you have any additional questions I am always here to help.
Thanks so much, Chris. Will watch right now. And, yes, I'll be joining soon! Your info and knowledge of the swing is brilliant. I've had some bad instructors over the years. Your info is incredible.

LOL!!! I know it is a lot to take in sometimes but doing my best to finally help golfers understand what was really happening. Glad you are here.
Teaching pro Carl Lohren also wrote about how Hogan and Lee Trevino set up with the shoulders and hips open to the target.
👍
That's brilliant!
Thanks
I really like this idea. I think gary player did the same
Me too. Thanks for the comment.

It all pieces together. Will do.

Hi Chris, where did you get your training “club”?
Sure Set swing trainer. I don't use it the way it was designed to be used. I just have it opened up.
