Great video, and love that color on the model. Though I'm surprised the roots are colored first. I've been watching hair dying videos that have all said dye the roots last to avoid "hot roots." Also, one said to not comb hair wet with dye in it since it's in a fragile state, though maybe it just meant dye with bleach in it.
hot roots are only an issue when lightening/bleach is involved. When dying hair darker colors than the hairs starting color you do the roots first so it looks more natural and has variation. Otherwise it would all be on color of even the ends would be darker leaving it looking very unnatural
I have a short pixie and I can easily get 3 uses out of 1 box of demi permanent hair color(L'oreal Paris). I hate wasting product and money. Should I mix equal parts?
mistyaaa Hi, I typically only mix semi/Demi colours 1part colour and 2 parts peroxide. It’s best to follow the instructions from the manufactures for the best results.
Saloni Somani To say that you can ‘color’ dark hair with semi permanent dye is a bit of a stretch. It’s more like a stain or a tint in the sunlight. Though some can be strong enough to see indoors as well. Dark hair + dark colors = darker results Dark hair + bright colors = deeper results Semi-permanent dye is basically conditioner and pigment so you leave it on for longer periods of time, 7-8 hours minimum on dark hair. For a wine result, I would use the brightest red you can find (no pastels), apply and cover with a plastic cap, sit under the dryer for 30 minutes and leave it in overnight. 6-7 rinses with cold water in the morning.
Why are there so many videos addressed to anyone who has clients? Wouldn’t they have already taken these trainings in order to get their license/certification? I certainly don’t want to go to a stylist who learned from RUclips. No offense but if they’re leaning the same as me, I’m not signing up for appointments to that salon.
Its to help people in cosmetology school. Obviously you can't get your license by watching RUclips videos. You need a certain amount of hours in hair school to even take your test.
Ahh, so soothing to watch a professional work!

Semi/demi permanent color usually means that it's deposit only, and can't make the hair lighter, so hot roots aren't an issue.

Would i need to bleach my hair if i used semi-permanent?
nope, you can if you want to depending on how dark ur hair is. if it’s dark dark brown or black i recommend dying it
It’d be helpful if the color used was said or listed

do i have to bleach hairs if i am using a semi permanent hair color?
depends on what the color is. if you have dark hair and want like a pink, its likely youll need to bleach your hair
so if i want to do red wine color then and i have dark black hairs then what i M supposed to do
