So, jerkey & sausage sticks (yes, I had to google the first two snacks). I like the idea of having a bin of fresh vegetables. I personally like Norwegian Crispbread, which is a cracker that is heavy with seeds, very filling and tasty. Being a Texan, tortillas are very easy to make from scratch. Just masa flour, water, and a hot cast iron skillet. We used dry milk camping. Just add water. No need to keep it on ice.

      Biltong is similar to jerkey.
We make beer bread sometimes, it's pretty easy. We also use tortillas that are store bought. I'll look up the recipe, maybe we can have them fresh off the fire!

    Another great video, excellent ideas!.
For us the home made bread works well, easy to carry and always have fresh bread even though you have to sacrifice a beer to make it. If there are only 2 of us on a trip then the large bread pot doubles as a potjie pot.
I have a mate who takes pizza with on trips.....freezes slices in zip lock bags then throws it on the grid for a minute or 2 when they feel like something different or has a craving for fast food in the bush.
If you have space then taking along a soda stream also works well...as long as you have cold water then you have access to countless bottles of fizzy drinks or soda water without having to schlep countless bottles of cold drink along.
    Thanks for sharing.

Beers sacrifices need to be made from time to time. Painful but for the greater good 😄
We're also trying frozen raw pizza on our upcoming trip. Bake it in a small kettle braai with coals lined on the edge of the grate to prevent burning the base. Works well at home with a large kettle braai.
Interesting idea on soda machine. Space is premium for us though.
Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.

Definitely try the beer bread, it's an easy win for fresh bread. Our Jack Russell (spuddie) is quite a handful on set 😄
