I have an Anker wireless vertical mouse and it has been great in the months I've had it. I got it after I had surgery done on my wrist and after a few days of getting use to it my wrist/elbow feel much better. The sensor is mediocre so I still use my G402 for gaming, but it's good enough for most routine task. Very good value for $20.

Vertical mice literally changed my life. Wrist strain is almost non existent an the learning curve on how to use one is not that long. It's basically second nature now. When I would edit on a traditional mouse for long hours, I would get hand cramps and wrist strain all the time. Highly recommend vertical mice.

Switching to a vertical mouse has relieved so much wrist pain I used to have. I have issues with my wrists from my younger days using the palm of my hand as a hammer. I used to only be able to use a computer for about an hour at a time or so, before some major wrist pain set in, now I can use a computer all day without feeling any pain caused by the odd position that a typical (horizontal) mouse causes.
I have bought 4 cheap ones (Delux M618), and use them everywhere, home, work, shop (soon to be in my garage) and one that I take with me, if I need to use my laptop for extended periods. I haven't had any problems with them, though my first one, that I've been using for about 3 years now or so, is MAYBE showing some signs of wearing out.
Vertical mouse is one of the best computer related purchases I've made.

I bought the MX Master 2S right before they announced the MX Vertical, so I'm not really willing to switch now. I'm really looking forward to a potential MX Vertical 2 (or S) that has a similar feature set to the Master 2S - the same sensor, hyperscrolling, vertical scroll and gestures, because that would be the bomb.

I have an ancient Logitech hyperscrolling enabled mouse that was on the cheap side back then, and I can give the wheel a spin in pretty much any mouse orientation, so that's definitely not an issue.
Furthermore, I think every mouse manufacturer should contemplate making mice with this kind of a scrolling wheel mechanism. It's super convenient.

I have the Delux vertical mouse with a rest for the side and back of your palm that moves with the mouse and eliminates your hand dragging on the desktop. I have large hands and would like it a lot more if it was 20% bigger. However that is its only flaw for me. It works very well and has stopped my hand from going to sleep and my shoulder from aching after hours of gaming as happens with a normal mouse. It is also about a quarter of the price of the Logitech.

I broke my wrist 8 weeks ago. I have always used the Apple Magic Mouse but in this case, I had to change. I bought 3 mice (Vertical, Ergo Plus & Master 3) and have spent a few days testing all 3. I really liked all of them but the Ergo Plus added more stress to my hand and wrist after the surgery. I liked the Master 3 but the two flywheel's drove me crazy. But it moved great across surfaces. In the end I had to keep the Vertical because it honestly put the least amount of stress on my hand and wrist. I would say that if you have hand problems you have to spend time with all of them just to see what will work best.

I used an MX Master 2, and it kicked the bucket after several years of hard use with a number of different computers.
I’m a Mac user now, and when the time came to get a new one I considered the MX Vertical and the MX Master 3. I got so used to the gesture button for Mission Control on my Mac that I bought the Master 3 without a thought, because more than the horizontal scroll wheel I was convinced I needed the gesture button.
I do wish I could get a more ergonomic shape (particularly for my ring and pinky fingers which sort of just hang off the side) with all the features I want, but the MX Master 3 is basically the only option unless I wanted to use the Magic Trackpad. If the Vertical had a gesture button, chances are pretty good I would have gotten that instead.

I’ve been a loyal MX Master user since early 2014, mine looks super worn out now which makes it feel so much more personal to the point where I didn’t really want to upgrade to the slightly updated Master 2S when it came out, all I’m really missing out on is the flow feature and some fresh colours, I’ll wait until there’s an actual physical change.
My worn MX Master just feels like an old friend when I hold it, I’ve worn those fancy shapes on the gesture button smooth to the point where my thumb has its own notch to rest in, the clickers have shiny smooth patches where my fingers click, and the top of the mouse is super shiny from use, that might irritate some people but I quite like it, it feels so personal now I’d be heartbroken if this mouse ever died on me.

Companies such as Corsair need to do a vertical gaming mouse (I have Corsair only peripherals and many of my PC parts are from them too at least one item from each category of product they sell and this is good for use in iCUE where I can sync lighting profiles with all my stuff) and as a person who probably spends most of their home time (not including my 8-10 hours of daily sleep and yes I do have a regular day job but when I am home most of the time is spent sleeping or at my desk either watching videos/movies or playing games which I can do on my PC I don't really watch TV or use my phone much at home) it would make sense

I bought this mouse today and thought it was wonderful - but im still returning it.
The one thing that I truly cannot let go of now in my work flow is Logitech's Hyperscrolling feature. I've been using an MX Master for the past few years, and the scrolling is a godsend. This mouse does not have that, so I guess it's time to buy an MX Master 3.

I've been using the Anker for almost two years now. I've got two of them, one for work and the other for home and the annoying issue is that they tend to creak over time and the buttons have developed a weird crackly click sound which is super unsatisfying.

To anyone interested in vertical mice - do check out the Microsofct Sculpt Ergonomic. The whole set is great, but the mouse is *the* most ergonomic mouse I have ever used. Based on my experience with other vertical mice, I would guess it's also more comfortable than this Logitech. Would love to hear from anyone who has used both, though!
Disclaimer: at one point I got to horrible wrist and elbow pain and started trying out vertical mouse, and the MS one was the first one that alleviated all of the pain over time. I have since started using a "normal" mouse again, for gaming regularly. I think the combination of two helps a lot, one for work, the other for gaming.

I just bought the MX Vertical at Staples. I like it so far but I have large hands and it fits nicely. Still trying to figure out those 2 buttons on the top left side though. Also I'm on Mac. Been using Apple's Magic mouse for a long time and that think sometimes has a mind of its own. Pages slide out and a host of other sloppy problems. Main thing is I can't connect via Bluetooth. I'm in touch with Logitech for help. Right now Using the USB which is great. Charging the magic mouse is on the bottom so no mouse while charging. this MX still works. How Cool is that?
Im not a gamer but I do some CAD designs for my 3D printer; so far is seems to work well for me.

Used vertical mice before, tried most of what was available two-three years ago from the cheaper options.
This is definitely a cheap move from logitech. Instead of adding all that you mention like the extra scroll, buttons, or even side customising options (to adjust for different hand shape/size), they just made the most basic version they can, and priced it way too high.
Sorry, for that amount, there are Evoluent who have more experience in ergonomics.
Hope Logitech gets it together for a v2 (love most of their products, just not this one).

Did you even try the Evoluent ones? The precision is just terrible. Worked with some evoluent mice for two a years and was so happy with this one from logitech. "Evoluent has more experience with ergonomics" Logitech knows how to built a propper mouse. I don't get the hate around this one. Here in the Netherlands the Evoluent mice are more expensive then this one btw..

    • @JanisVeide
      @JanisVeide 5 лет назад

@@b.pelgrum5580 No hate. I have mostly used and use a Logitech mouse. And that's exactly why I think they could have at least added some extra button/feature to this one.
Did not know about Evoluent problems. Glad you brought that up, so now I can avoid spending money blindly.
Oddly enough, currently using Logitech G305, and while it's not "ergonomic", the size and weight just makes it so easy to use.

@@JanisVeide Ah oke, didn't want to flame on your comment btw. But I've tried the Evoluent 3, 4 and C.. all of them didn't work for me. But I've heard some other people that are very happy with the evoluent ones. So I guess it comes down to personal preference. If you want one, try one first fro a couple of weeks (you can try mine if you want :p). I do agree on the lack of functionality, I guess I was so stoked on the overall performance and feel of the MX vertical I didn't miss those features. I'm dealing with RSI for over 5 years now and this one finally works for me. We'll see if the MX vertical 2 will add extra functionality.

I have a vertical mouse knocking around here somewhere... the Evoluent Vertical Mouse from ages ago..
I have big hands, but inspite of that, I still think the best mice Logitech have made is the 'anywhere' for, erm, anything, and the 'G9x' for gaming. Modestly sized as they are, they still feel a delight in use. Else, for me my primary and preferred is a big trackball.

I tried this mouse and it works great, on top of that I was happy that with this mouse I could use the same receiver as my keyboard, the problem however is that it is HUGE! My hand keeps falling off and I can't reach the buttons well. Logitech please make a smaller version like eg Evoluent which also has different sizes. I am obligated to use a cheap Chinese one now, which works ok, but isn't great.

It's really sad that this mouse cannot really keep up with the master 2s.
I would have liked if it had a touchpad in the place for the thumb for gestures like switching between desktops.
The lack of the typical logitech scroll wheel is also a bummer. I am sure it would have been possible.
The last little annoyance is the software. It is most certainly windows only.

I had the anker vertical mouse 3-4 years ago, but i lost the reciever maybe a week after i got it, so never got to really use it.
Edit: Just found the mouse in my drawer and it surprisingly comfortable. It's a little to big for my hands, and I still don't have the reciever :p
Edit 2: The scroll wheel looks really wobbly on you master 2s. On my regular master it's almost 100% balanced.
