Hey ,just wanted you to know you've re inspired me to take up air brushing and scale modeling once again! I will be undergoing a spinal surgery in july and i am going to do those things while I recover. I went out and bought the black widow compressor and the pen style black widow air brush, along with alot of the other things you have shown on your videos. I also built a nice spray booth ,so Im goin all in lol. Thanks for all the great videos ! P.S. My first build is a '32 Ford Five Window coupe , by Revell . 😎.

You got it. Be sure the paint in light layers which dry in between coats, you'll get the best results

That RX-78-2 in the background are well stocked at The Dollar Trees in my area (Indianapolis) 4 of the 5 I’ve checked still have them I bought em out at my local location. For $1.25 each I’ve had a blast trying to learn how to airbrush and paint and sculpt and glue and modify and experiment with paint styles.
Thanks for your videos you are my main mentor for all things hobby modeling. Nearly all of my knowledge has come from your videos as I’ve decided to get into the hobby on my own. It’s great to have a base line of know how so I at least know when I make a mistake. I’m passing on my/your skills onto my sons. We’re starting their first gundams this summer break.
The Astray is my favourite Gundam and that Mario is always a welcome sight that’s my younger boys name.

I ordered my first enamel paints yesterday and I am as nervous as a man can be. I have only a small amount of experience using acrylic paints, and I am really concerned with properly cleaning my Iwata airbrush. I was told that it is pretty much as easy as shooting lacquer thinner through the airbrush until it comes out clear, but that sounds way too simple. I'd sure appreciate any advice you have to offer about cleanup. Thank you!
What if you painted over chrome?
I didn't try chrome but I did it over silver after I filmed this video and it looked cool. A light blueish sparkle. Takes a while to layer it on
Hello Robert I am a novice when it comes to airbrushing. I just got you Swallowtail airbrush about a week ago. I do have others but wanted to try yours. I have a question? I am looking to build an ICM 1914 Model T Fire Truck. The kit comes with no chrome parts being a fire truck it has a lot of polished brass. I was watching your video on the making gold look like chrome. I was thinking of using the SMS Hyperchrome cold tone over white with a 50/50 mix of clear brown and clear yellow to get that nice polished brass look. What do you think or do you have a easier way of getting the same results. Thank you for your help and prayers to your wife I am disabled and know what it is like to have a lot of health problems for me it`s my heart that is the problem...........................................................Ken
Check out Inspire Candy Gold. You spray it over silver or chrome. They also sell a base fir it. I did a video on it and it looks great

Can you recommend a sandable primer that's not gummy and won't load up the sandpaper I'm building a 1/350 Enterprise it's a gap fillers dream
What's brands have you been using? Most lacquer primers should be fine. Acrylic primers are trouble sometimes
