    A major sticking point that can't be overlooked is the driver support like you mentioned. Whilst the card happily trades blows with AMD and Nvidia, for a much cheaper price, PC gamers want stability and performance in both new AND older games, the Intel drivers only really work well on Direct X 11 and 12 games, along with Vulkan. Until DX 9 and 10 (and OpenGL) games can work reliability with older games and significantly close the performance gap, alot of people are going to think twice before picking up ARC.

      Nvidia wouldn't be able to. For Nvidia to make X86 CPUs they would need an x86 licence from Intel and an x86-64 licence from AMD to do so.
      Only thing they could do is make ARM based processors but that has the caveat of needing to emulate x86 for games that has a performance penalty.

    The market needs higher end performance that is priced more competitively, or for the scale of what’s considered “high-end” vs “mid-range” these days to shift in favor of the consumer. The average consumer these days is more likely to be playing games on larger 4K TVs with HDMI 2.1, which mean a stable 4K/60 in AAA titles should be more attainable, and frankly it would be at this point but GPU manufacturers benefit more from a keeping that performance level seen as “high-end” for as long as possible, even when it should be the standard by now.

    Jep. I don't see myself buying an Intel GPU at all.
    But I really want them to bring a fight to AMD and NVIDIA, because this way especially NVIDIA needs to come up with more affordable price tags.

    Thanks to the fact Nvidia market share is stupidly large compared to AMD and Intels share they got better driver debugging radeon brand had a terrible name in the past which is not a lone reason and intel not having enough users to report on issues for them to solve despite the fact they got a stupidly large devision ready to crush bugs

    7 months later, they have released too many drivers that can increase ~7% to ~63% performance in each MAJOR version and drivers are now releasing before the game is released, like nVIDIA.

    intel has some massive potential to be really good in the gpu category if they keep the pricing as reasonable as the cards they have released, they just need to fix their drivers then intel could do pretty good for a budget to midrange build

      RX580 is pretty good but a bit dated for 1080p gaming. Get a used 5700xt or 6600 for AMD and 1080ti or 1660S for Nvidia. I'd definitely say 1080ti is the best of all with that sweet 11GB of VRAM which should work at 1440p low.

    Yes you should be buying Intel card's!! Regardless of whether they a perfect because it's never going to get better without people buying them as no customers means no product or support for the product.. because it's a very first product it's not great because they are trying to find out how to make great hardware and software to support the hardware.. and because it's had customers look how good Intel GPUs have gotten over the last 2 years!! 100's of % better than day 1 so second generation will be way better!! And frankly the first generation hardware was as good as the competition but the software is where it struggled and it's still got plenty more to give even now.. so the answer is YES you should be buying Intel card's to strengthen them so it makes more pressure on the monopoly.

    What do you think about Twisted Minds monitors? They are cheaper than ASUS & LG monitors with more HZ and Fast MS but literally Twisted Minds cost a bit of budget to build gaming PC than ASUS & LG gaming monitors! Even with the same budget!
    What's the theory behind Twisted Minds monitor?

      @caboose6411 8 месяцев назад +1

      You’d need a pretty beefy system for that. Also why would you need or want 300 fps. Pretty much no difference along as it’s over 60fps. And your monitor would also be super expensive to be able to display that.

    (Rockstar probably hasn’t divulged this info yet and GTA 6 is around 2 years out for PC), but is it possible to suggest an under $800 build today which will play GTA 6 in 1080p 60 fps High whenever it releases?

      I guess 3060TI will do with something that will not choke it will get these 60 FPS on high (not max and surely no rays). Tbh you could probably get something from 40`s for not much money later on, when 50`s appear, and something like 4070 will almost 100% do it.

    A lot to be fixed on software part. I am ready to pay $50-$100 extra to have no issues on drivers/software part, have better control panel were settings besides Sharpness are not ignored by 90% of games, and for much better DLSS, that does not turn trees and grass into shivering shit.
