That area of NC is really awesome. I like it in the early summer and winter. In the summer it's so lush. The winter you get some clear skies. I have been up around Grandfather Mt & Linville falls, but I've never been to Linville gorge.
I saw your vid from your Achilles injury from 5 years ago. I'd love to hear your opinion: I recently injured mine doing cardio, didn't feel a pop/crack, but it started hurting. Its been slightly swollen, but no bruising, i can still walk in tip toes, and do some calf raises, but i feel the need to walk weird in order to not flex my foot. What's your opinion based on your experience? Personally, I'm guessing it may be a micro tear or tendonitis. Thanks!
I would see a physical therapist if it continues so you don't make it worse by walking on it wrong or stretching it wrong. But whatever it is, it's not as bad as a rupture. When I got injured it sounded like a gun shot or breaking a rack of balls in pool.
@@bigzach322 Thank you so much man!, I'll see a doctor, fortunately, i think it's healing... it doesnt hurt as much and i can walk normal again, but i feel some weakness, i guess its due to inactivity, right?
@@groforoctavioarmasvega3201 Probably, it needs to be stretched and contracted from walking otherwise it'll get stiff and hurt a lot next time it stretches the tendon.
Can someone do a video including the access to the trail head? Is it a gravel road? How treacherous? How good or bad, potholes? Rocks? How many miles? Parking area? Need reservation? Limited space? etc.
Nice! Good to see you posting again. keep the Great Videos coming my Friend!

It is a gravel road, it can be done in a car but you have to take it very slow in some sections. The maintenance isn't frequent so it could be worse.
Zach - great videos. Very helpful content. I sent you a long question on Instagram messenger this morning. Any insight would be much appreciated.
