OMG, I am so happy you were able to find it and that it worked for you. I believe Michael's stopped selling the clear glue sticks and I've ordered some on Temu. They seem to to work ok, so if you need to get them, get them there.

Best tip ever, the alcohol! Plus, I learned that you can use less glue, than I thought that you needed. Since I do not have the really clear glue sticks, less glue works best because it produces a thinner stamp. Thinner is more see through! Thanks!

@@lanabylanadesign So I did try your wonderful tip. It took me 5 attempts to get one that was centered AND thin. 😜 I didn't have my spray bottle so I made a kind of an ink well with the hot glue and stamp. Just pumped a little hill of glue and stamped it in deep. I had been wetting the stamp with the alcohol and my finger tip. So now I have a 'cup' that I put my alcohol in and rest my stamp in it between each stamp I do. I'm wondering if the cooling effect of the alcohol would prevent the stamp from getting too warm? Would be another plus to your idea!

@@teresanowotny681 Oh, I see what you mean. I don't think that could actually happen to the paper. Wax seal (or in this case hot glue) acts more like a shield. Now, if you were to directly apply to a bigger size of paper (a card size or a scrapbook size paper) it could warp it a little bit, but that is because of the heat. That is why I like to prepare my seals in advance and then just glue them on my projects.

At Michael's we sell metal discs in the metal stamping section ( - the other kind of stamping that requires a hammer 😜.) Just hot glue a wooden dowel on one side as a handle, or a metal bolt. If cost is a factor, try gluing a 'handle' on a coin like a quarter or a loonie - that's a Canadian dollar coin. Clean the coin first so dirt doesn't get embedded in your first stamp.
