- As a new horse trainer, it's so easy to make these horsemanship mistakes.
Horse training is all about mastery of the emotions. In this video I talk about some of the errors I commonly made when starting out and I hope that by sharing them I can help others spot and avoid them sooner. Животные
Great advice as always! Thanks for putting these videos out here as a resource.
I am not a trainer but I did start a 5/6 year old mare who had only been handled as a baby. Things have been OK but I knew I needed help to do better. I have been working with a trainer who is really chilled and fits the profile of what you've mentioned and within two sessions together it is like I am riding a different horse. We are actually doing less but doing it well and the mare is moving forward without brace and she is so willing. I have been watching your videos for years now and I really appreciate your wisdom. God bless
It's amazing what some patience and extra experience can do. Good on you for seeking out more help when you felt you reached a limit... That's wisdom. Putting the horse first always gets us ahead. Thanks for watching!
You are by far my favourite person on RUclips! Thank you for another excellent video!
That is a big compliment. Thank you for your support! 😊
Great advice, thank you!
Great advice. Thanks.
Thanks, Tim!
Great Video! Thank you
Agree 💯thankyou
I think I made at least 3 of those today lol
I'm sure that's an exaggeration. But I love your honesty. 😂👍
The "don't blame the horse," is a definite pet peeve but it goes deeper. It can be easy to look at a horse for so long that you start to think what you're seeing is the result of its "personality," or "nature," when there is really a problem there waiting to be solved. Settling a horses issues as "It's just his personality," is pretty detrimental and kills room for growth, in my opinion. In an extreme example, I know an individual whose horse chronically rears at the hitching post and snaps a lead rope every once and a while. Theyre opinion of the matter is that this behavior is part of the horse's personality.
Good point! So often those issues are symptoms of a deeper problem.
People often blame the horse, but then its funny how all the horses they get have the same issues :) At some point you'd hope people might think hard about why they're the common link
So true! 😅
It's takes years to months to ( train) teach a horse . When I learned the Lippinzana Stallions aren't started until age 5, think of the physical immaturity of a horse. If they truly think like a kindergarten ers it's so unfair to rush them. People want 90 day wonders. The horse pays the price the rest if it's life, the
What sex is the baby ? Name ?
I enjoy watching you but can you try to talk a little slower.
Thanks for the input. I'll try next time 👍
I actually appreciate your fast talking 😄 it kills me when people talk slow in these videos
If you go into RUclips settings, you the listener can adjust the playback speed to one that works for you 😁 it’s a lot easier to manage that way.
