Never leave your oil cap open, it allows dust and other partials to fall in, the engine is already built with small areas for air flow when you change your oil, opening the cap doesn't get anymore airflow in
Idk how well you clean up the interior but i heard switching from reg oil to synthetic could leave dry spots cause then oil doesnt bond over the old layer?
