As much as people not liking this LRT, its still a great option for me to bypass the Corridor 9 to Dukuh Atas from BNN because how crowded the bus is and sometimes the bus lane was invaded by private cars or bikes as well, making the journey riding the bus rather tiring (traffic jam + crowd), especially around night at 7PM to 9PM. Eventho i can ride this to Penjaringan bus shelter (from BNN), i rather use this LRT then move to KRL and then use 1A at Kota Tua instead
The Cibubur line is to be extended far south to Bogor but 5 years later still no wind of it actually even considered. back then, municipality of Bogor took this seriously and planned a TOD at Baranangsiang terminus intergrated with the first tram line in the country after 60 years. The kingdom of Netherlands even offered 24 units of Combino trams for it. Sadly it went nowhere and the tram was ignored until literally yesterday where they reconsider using the same autonomous articulated buses in IKN.
Your english is excellent! this is how Indonesians should sound like when speaking english, by keeping our local accents, not like those wannabe jaksels
Not only does the LRT Jabodebek use Japanese and Singaporean sounds, they use the Dutch NS announcement jingle too, when announcing the next stop. Also, KCIC uses the Chinese jingle also found in China's metro and HSR systems in our stations before an announcement!
I've given the LRT a go from Halim HSR station to Dukuh Atas to test if it was suitable to get to the airport rail link. I would advise against doing this, a lot of time is lost due to speed, the Kuningan turn, the long and unfinished pedestrian bridge of Dukuh Atas, and the inconvenience of walking through Sudirman station just to exit and re-enter BNI City. Anyone using the HSR from Bandung should get a cab to the CGK airport from Halim HSR instead where taxi pools of all kinds are available.
I know I will get kind of bullied here, but the train is not wholly made in Indonesia. The Software is by siemens, and the traction motor is by CAF in Spain (Kinda sad that the "heart" of the train is not made locally, but the government claims as such)
@@meongmeong3599 Maybe it is ABB and CAF then. ABB is also known to produce electrical motors for railways belonging to Nordic Countries. Because several news sources that dare asked the stakeholders, several people including representative from LEN admitted that it came from CAF (Or maybe they use differing traction motor for some trains?). Tbh, it is complicated business when the Ministry of Communication and Information said that it is 100% domestically made
Standard and narrow construction costs gauge It makes no difference because it's for the metro. But the train was built With Cutting cost and Corruption
I think MRT line 2 Etc will be built with standard gauge. Because from the start it was planned that Indonesia would move to international standards. So all new rail construction must use 1,435mm. The area of piles(tiang pancang ) that can be built is also limited. That's the reason why I guess that's the reason why the carriage LRT size isn't too wide.LRT
the name of this system is a bit confusing 😅even tho, it is technically correct ! in this case, LRT stands for "Light Rapid Transit" which is just another term for "Light Metro" but this term is mostly used to describe another type of transit system also called LRT 😁short for "Light Rail Transit" this system isnt a "metro" it is something that falls between a tram and a metro (hybrid) in my humble algerian opinion 😄it would've been better if they did name it "Jabodebek skytrain" or something like that cuz the system is mostly elevated, also the skytrain name sounds more atractive. in the other hand, i do understand why they did choose that name, its becasue there's already an MRT, which stands for "Mass Rapid Transit" so.. they wanted it to sound similare, but they kinda of downgraded it with that name because people when they hear LRT, they mostly imagine a system that looks like a tram 😅 but in reality, this system is very different than a tram or light rail
wait i just realised the doors opening chime is copying japan lmfao. another problem: time window to transfer from cibubur to bekasi line is INSANE my friend has to go down the stairs and run back up in just one minute to catch the train
Ive seen LRT trains have 52 minute intervals after a 15 interval previously. Idek how that happens. It was probably that some trains didnt show up on the board
For me it's just poorly integrated. I currently live near Cawang-Cikoko Station. I could go ANYWHERE via GoJek's GoStation program that connects you with GoJek to and from KRL along with some discount (not as aggressive as before) and integrated in the app. At the same time, there's always buses, which covers more location and has much greater flexibility. So LRT just feels so limited. If I'm traveling far, there's KRL + GoStation. If I'm traveling direct, there's Bus. Unless my destination is exactly near LRT stations, it makes more sense to go with other modes. Also, I'm pretty sure it costs a decent bit as well, compared to KRL and Bus? Not as expensive as MRT's very much middle-class oriented progressive pricing, but still a decent bit IIRC
Oh yeah I forgot to mention the price. Rp 20,000 for max distance at peak and Rp 10,000 for max distance off peak. This LRT is extremely commuter oriented, the station is either surrounded by housing or offices, very few actually good malls/parks/other tourist destinations near the LRT so unless you live in LRT city and work in Kuningan-Cawang, it will feel poorly integrated. Also means that off peak on weekdays and weekends, trains are running empty unlike the MRT.
Honestly I'm not even sure, all I can say is that an LRT is any railway lighter than a metro. Problem is (as far as I know) there is no objective standard on what counts as metro or LRT. LRT Jabodebek would count as a metro in other cities. LRT could mean anything from those single car trams that run on mixed traffic to LRT Jabodebek
actually Ministry of Trasportation has a regulation for this. If the axle load is lower than 12 tons, it's LRT, if the axle load is >12 t it's Heavy Rail (metro, commuterline, etc). LRT Jabodebek trainset axle load is no higher than 12 tons, so it's Light Rail.
This lrt isn't has modern as the one in jakarta, the one in jakarta looks way more modern and feels like in in singapore, the jabotabek one feels like i'm riding a local train made by kampung people or people who can't evem make modern trains AND even the seats feels like 2015 local angkot, so i rated 5/10 LRT
Tangeran kan masuknya MRT fase 3, jadi nggak masuk rencana jalur LRT, cuma ya gitu, MRT kan proyek Jepang, bikin Fase 1 yg cuma seiprit aja setara bikin LRT jabodebek.

i need to mention the complete lack of integration between the two LRT lines (this one and the kelapa gading-velodrome line). they act like each line exists in a vacuum.
They are now building the connection between the two
UY WAKE UP SHINDO UPLOADED
The speed entering station is excruciatingly frustrating.
Padahal momentum Tram bisa dihidupkan lagi, tapi milihnya malah ART
Your english is excellent! this is how Indonesians should sound like when speaking english, by keeping our local accents, not like those wannabe jaksels
0:31 i do wish the Blue line could be considered again... With an extension to Pulo Gebang along BKT
Can't wait to see mrt fase 3
20 tahun lagi,
Fase 2 aja masih lama
Kuningan station also have a lift-only exit
Not only does the LRT Jabodebek use Japanese and Singaporean sounds, they use the Dutch NS announcement jingle too, when announcing the next stop.
Also, KCIC uses the Chinese jingle also found in China's metro and HSR systems in our stations before an announcement!
Next is Jakarta MRT, the king of Greater Jakarta's rail transit👑
I've given the LRT a go from Halim HSR station to Dukuh Atas to test if it was suitable to get to the airport rail link. I would advise against doing this, a lot of time is lost due to speed, the Kuningan turn, the long and unfinished pedestrian bridge of Dukuh Atas, and the inconvenience of walking through Sudirman station just to exit and re-enter BNI City. Anyone using the HSR from Bandung should get a cab to the CGK airport from Halim HSR instead where taxi pools of all kinds are available.
Sayangnya yang di Dukuh Atas stasiunnya ga konek langsung ke halte TJ, harus turun ke jalan, padahal di stasiun lain bisa konek langsung
next tangerang line!!
banyak bener mall di stasiun bekasi barat
Meanwhile Tangerang Kota mallnya dikit & mati semua 🥲
I know I will get kind of bullied here, but the train is not wholly made in Indonesia. The Software is by siemens, and the traction motor is by CAF in Spain (Kinda sad that the "heart" of the train is not made locally, but the government claims as such)
Motor traksi buatan ABB setahu saya, dulu pernah liat di IG pas masih di dalem box, labelnya ABB
Tbh, it is complicated business when the Ministry of Communication and Information said that it is 100% domestically made
Claim is related to how they can actually export this product to other country.... rightfully so.
what about fares price per destination
Minimum Rp 5,000 (1st km)
Maximum at peak Rp 20,000
Maximum off peak Rp 10,000
Every 1 km after Rp 700
Any idea why the train is running on standard gauge tracks but why they kept the cabin width and height of the trainsets limited?
Standard and narrow construction costs gauge It makes no difference because it's for the metro. But the train was built With Cutting cost and Corruption
Track gauge and loading gauge are two different things that do not corresponds with each other.
This
If I had to guess, maybe they were expecting demand to be not as high as the MRT
I think MRT line 2 Etc will be built with standard gauge. Because from the start it was planned that Indonesia would move to international standards. So all new rail construction must use 1,435mm.
The area of piles(tiang pancang ) that can be built is also limited. That's the reason why I guess that's the reason why the carriage LRT size isn't too wide.LRT
the name of this system is a bit confusing 😅even tho, it is technically correct !
in this case, LRT stands for "Light Rapid Transit" which is just another term for "Light Metro"
but this term is mostly used to describe another type of transit system also called LRT 😁short for "Light Rail Transit"
this system isnt a "metro" it is something that falls between a tram and a metro (hybrid)
in my humble algerian opinion 😄it would've been better if they did name it "Jabodebek skytrain" or something like that
cuz the system is mostly elevated, also the skytrain name sounds more atractive.
in the other hand, i do understand why they did choose that name, its becasue there's already an MRT, which stands for "Mass Rapid Transit" so.. they wanted it to sound similare,
but they kinda of downgraded it with that name
because people when they hear LRT, they mostly imagine a system that looks like a tram 😅
but in reality, this system is very different than a tram or light rail
wait i just realised the doors opening chime is copying japan lmfao. another problem: time window to transfer from cibubur to bekasi line is INSANE my friend has to go down the stairs and run back up in just one minute to catch the train
aerobic exercise
Ive seen LRT trains have 52 minute intervals after a 15 interval previously. Idek how that happens. It was probably that some trains didnt show up on the board
When did that happen?
@@shindoride like late last year
Ah yes that's around the same time when a lot of trains got put out of service due to wheel issues, so the frequency went down the toilet.
Suka kucingnya bang
What is the difference between metro and Light rapid transit “LRT”
Honestly I'm not even sure, all I can say is that an LRT is any railway lighter than a metro.
Problem is (as far as I know) there is no objective standard on what counts as metro or LRT.
LRT Jabodebek would count as a metro in other cities.
LRT could mean anything from those single car trams that run on mixed traffic to LRT Jabodebek
@@shindorideLRT juga ada yg seperti Trem
actually Ministry of Trasportation has a regulation for this. If the axle load is lower than 12 tons, it's LRT, if the axle load is >12 t it's Heavy Rail (metro, commuterline, etc).
LRT Jabodebek trainset axle load is no higher than 12 tons, so it's Light Rail.
you didnt mention the pricing at all 😂
This lrt isn't has modern as the one in jakarta, the one in jakarta looks way more modern and feels like in in singapore, the jabotabek one feels like i'm riding a local train made by kampung people or people who can't evem make modern trains AND even the seats feels like 2015 local angkot, so i rated 5/10 LRT
Bang penonton lu banyakan dari negara mana?
Indonesia, asia tenggara
Perlu di percepat nih yg kearah Bogor dan Tanggerang
Tangeran kan masuknya MRT fase 3, jadi nggak masuk rencana jalur LRT, cuma ya gitu, MRT kan proyek Jepang, bikin Fase 1 yg cuma seiprit aja setara bikin LRT jabodebek.
Why don't you sub your video with Indo subs so "gabisa bahasa enggres" crowd can watch?
