- Final show of this fun but obscure game show from the mid 1970s.
Stars are Carol Wayne, Nipsey Russell, Debralee Scott, Alan Sues, Greg Mullavey, and Pat Cooper. Host is Jim MacKrell.
A great show that I loved watching. Never thought I would see it again! I even remembered a few things from this episode, like the "what is the cheapest property on the Monopoly board?" question. Darren McGavin, who is not in this episode, used to be very good on this show. I had been a fan of his ever since Night Stalker. Wish I could see the rest of the episodes of this. Shame it was cancelled so early.
I always thought this was a very creative and vastly underrated game show. Lots of fun.
Good episode, but I would love to have seen the episode in which Captain Kangaroo was sitting next to.....REDD FOXX!! I have the photo.

This show was fun to watch way back then, because it had a tendancy to get very silly........... :8

This was telecast the day after my 9th birthday!! But, I didn't get the day off from school on the day of my birthday or the day after when this last eppie was broadcast. The 4th Grade isn't like having a real job where you can ask the boss for some time off. Ergo, I never saw the series finale of CELEBRITY SWEEPSTAKES--until NOW!!!!!! :) :) :) :)

Obscure?
"Celebrity Sweepstakes" ran for two and half years on NBC"s daytime schedule.
And I believe it ran in once a week first run syndication firing the 1976-77 TV season, so combining network and syndication, it enjoyed a total of three and a half years on the air.
