Agree that Labour are diet Tory. But strongly disagree with your views on Jeremy Corbyn. He is a truly good man. A Man Of Peace. And incorruptible unlike the majority of these politicians.
I don’t disagree with you there. I’m sure he’s a lovely bloke and wants to genuinely do good… but I think he would be very bad for the country from an economic perspective

Section 21 is generally only used if the tenant has stopped paying (or doing something untoward), as section 8 is so slow and tedious. The other reason is if the landlord wants to develop the property.
I’ve never heard of a landlord evicting out of spite (I’m sure it happens, but it’s ridiculous rare).
Landlords use section 21 to get rid of tenants if they complain about poor maintained or refuse to pay more rent.
@@Winter_Of_Civilisation - I’m sure it happens but rare. It’s generally used if there is an issue with the tenant or the landlord needs it back for whatever reason.
Landlords do not use section 21 lightly. I issued a section 21 back in October (I need to develop the property), I got the possession order last month and currently waiting for a bailiff date. Luckily I have a good relationship with my tenant, but there is little stopping him to stop paying the rent during this whole process, if we were a loggerheads.
Also, other legislation should be put in place to crack down on slam landlords, abolishing section 21 is foolish.
Really good assessment in my view and similar to my own views.
I think i will wait and see what happens and adjust accordingly, as i am much older than your good self, i will say just like the house prices with a bit of up and downs bit they eventually go up over a period of time, pllitics are also a cycle Labour will get in, as the country fancy a change or think they will be better, then a few years of change and economic dissaster will play out the the Tories will get back in and stability ish, followed by same as we got now.
Go with it i say and adjust to the politics climate as i think you were saying.

Social housing is the key topic for the large home builders at the moment. They have totally changed their plans to build a large amount of social housing. Not great in the long run for landlords or tenants.
Terrible for tenants, bad for landlords in the short term. In the long term, it's great for us tbh... I will do a video on my thoughts on it :)
When it comes to minimum wage I think the easiest answer is if someone is working 37.5 hours a week on minimum wage and is also then applicable for benefits then the minimum wage needs to go up, my taxes shouldn't be propping up other companies and that is exactly what they are doing if full time employed people need social support. (don't be a pedant and find outliers, you know what I mean)

You’re right at least last time it was a rational choice this time you have two characters offering virtually the same policies. I think both Labour & Conservatives in their current state are unfit to govern so I like many will not be bothering to waste my time voting. I hope with the lowest turn out in history for a GE they both parties get the message!
How have you read the manifestos when theu haven't been published yet?

@elizabethshelby5613 well that's the beauty of a democratic society, we're all free to choose. You say mandate but that only means doing something. I hope reform do do something cos all the bloody tories have done is line their pockets with our tax payments
@@TheGoo5e Yes we are. Richard Tice told us he was in favour of vaccine mandates, despite the mountains of evidence available now and more coming every day he hasn’t changed that opinion, and it won’t stop at one mandate…..I therefore choose not to vote Reform.

In just several weeks we will have a complete overhaul of the status quo that we have known for the last 15 years. Labour's main voters are people who are completely excluded from the property market. Labour will win with an extinction-level majority and they will be emboldened to do whatever the F they want to solidify their majority. Expect Labour to first go after all property investors. You can't really hide- rent controls all over the UK, progressive tax on each property, very pro-tenant regulations, etc...All the investors that I know have already dumped their properties and cashed in. Of course you can keep your properties, but you will be at the mercy of a party that has in its best interests to provide affordable housing to its voters...I think it's all coming to an end very soon but people just don't want to wake up to the harsh facts...
Haha, I liked the ‘extinction level majority’ part 😉 I think rent freezes would prove a terrible idea from labour and cause mayhem for tenants… for Scotland it caused the fasted growth in rents ever
