That damage though...damn. O_o I started competitive Pokémon in 2014 (First singles and eventually VCG)...and although I never got enough points or gotten to day 2 I think I'm way better than when I started. I sometimes do have "issues" where I do tend to only do somewhat well if I build the team myself and not just "copy" it like taking/using your example teams, but trying to work on/around it. XD I'm kinda on a mission to somehow get to Anaheim next year (as a player or even as a visitor), but this video helped me. I've been trying out my own Miraidon/Calyrex-shadow teams and to some extend they do work. When I win or lose I mostly do it by just having 1 Pokémon left...So I do think I am doing something right, but not yet optimal. XD I'll tro some of yours and possible make some variations on it to make it my own. :)
1 pokemon left is fine - if that is a win con it's okay. How many mons you have left doesn't always reflect on optimal play. In fact, if you have 1 left that also means you did play optimally moreso than the opponent.
I really like the six you recommended at 10:22, but the Kyogre-winning team could definitely benefit more from Iron Jugulis than Roaring Moon. With Snarl, Jugulis provides a better matchup against Calyrex-Shadow, and Hurricane becomes 100% accurate in the rain. The only advantage I can see with Roaring Moon is that, with Flying Tera and Acrobatics, it can OHKO AV Rillaboom, which Jugulis cannot. Both have their pros and cons.
@@seawolfmikes2111 it still worked last time around at the regional level. Check back to our channel back in July-ish when we brought Justin Tang onto the channel for that team. It had Wo-Chien also
How could I deal with saybleye in reg G? Prankster taunt doesn't work on dark types and I can't really give up a move slot on my other mons. I am using the hyper offense team from your calyrex-shadow video with Torn,Caly,Chi yu, Urshifu, Iron hands and Indeedee.
Thanks, I will watch that video for EV bumps. Played since Gen 2 but learnt about the mechanics in Gen 4, I would would always use 252/252/4 spreads from then on💀 until this Gen 😅🫡!
252 HP / 148 Def / +76 SpA / 12 SpD / 20 Spe Probably just this - outspeed calyrex under tailwind, max the Hp and dump the rest into def. Even # spdef for the calm mind
Maybe a stupid questionen but is "Regulation G" now the official title of the format in January 2025? I thought it might be "Regulation I" while having the same rules as Reg. G.
@CloverBells Thanks for the reply but I an still not 100% convinced that it is the official name. Serebii is trustworthy but they might just use the same name without any background information, simply because it is still unclear. I am also wondering if GF could include additional pokemon like Xeneras or Tapus with a patch in january. As a result the format would be the same ruleset on paper but with a completely different meta.
@@aarionsievothe official announcement for regulation H stated that the regulation would run until January, after which Regulation G would pick up again. It was even in the game’s news portal.
@@aarionsievo But it is a fact, it is in fact Regulation G. You can check wherever you want, but this is the name. There will be no additional Pokemon added in January. This is not league of legends patch notes haha. This game doesn't work like that.
@@CloverBells I just looked it up. They wrote something like "Regulation G will return" on the official website, so you are right. They are calling it "G" officially. It was kind of hard to google because "Regulation G" and "Regulation I" were obviously problematic. I finally found it in the announcement of Reg. H. Thanks everyone for the clearification :)
In pokemon, when you invest your vitamins to increase a stat, usually it goes up by 1 point. However, in the natured stat that you chose (ex: adamant), you'll see a "bump" in that stat only when you invest EVs. On Pokemon Showdown, there are 3 distinct points within the 252 bar where the stat will increase by 2 points instead of one. Look at Heatran and make it modest. You'll see that as you move the slider and get it to +76 the special attack increases by 2 points instead of one! Amazing! From here, the rule is that for every 80 EVs invested after the first bump, you'll see it again. So +156 and +236 investment in special attack you'll see the 2nd and 3rd bump. This is only 1 example for 1 pokemon. Another Pokemon may see the bumps elsewhere in their natured stat. Hopefully this helps!

Yes both work fine and the jugulis has had success - we featured that variant back in June.
i think the problem with jug is that it’s weaker against raging bolt and you don’t really want to stack thunderclap weaknesses on a kyogre team
