    In this video, I go into extreme detail about how I rig up and fish a slip bobber 20 ft deep to catch fish in the creeks. I really hope this video helps you out! A slip bobber is essential to have with you in the creeks.
    All fish were caught on jigs from the Kid creek box

    Good video bro. I usually use a tiny pinch weight to save the bobber on breakoffs and keep it off the knot. The rubber stop is a good idea 👍

      I usually do too. This one was weighted good with no weight. It would have pulled it under it used the weights I had lol

    Why do you keep 10inch fish? A 10inch fish does not make much of a filet. Are you all about numbers?

    • @KidKrappie
      @KidKrappie  3 года назад +2

      I love how 10-11 inchers fry/cook up. Not a big fan of the real big fillets

      @@KidKrappie Well I do enjoy your videos on RUclips and TFF as do many others I imagine. You may have heard that a movement has begun with a number of local crappie guides to reduce their limit to 20 fish per guest due to increased harvest from Livescope. About a year ago, my group of crappie fishing friends all decided to increase our size limit to 11in and now several of our fellow anglers are starting to do the same. Just give it some thought, eh? TPWD will be pressured to do something somewhere in the distant future. Thanks for the interaction. . .

      @@asasmith5252 yeah I have heard. Did a live on it recently discussing it. I appreciate the idea but I prefer those smaller fish for the table. If I catch a legal 10 inch fish, it is going on my stringer. I don’t fish enough to hurt anything and definitely don’t catch enough limits to hurt anything 👍🏼

    a small weight above the jig will do the same thing .

    • @KidKrappie
      @KidKrappie  3 года назад

      Yup! As long as it doesn’t pull the bobber under too much

    Doesn’t the bobber stop slide down the line more when it goes through the guide eyes? I’m brand new to crappie fishing and trying to learn what I can

    • @KidKrappie
      @KidKrappie  3 года назад

      The bobber stop is fixed on the line. You set the depth and reel it through the guides. When you cast, it comes through the guides and the bobber will sink to the bobber stop depth you have set. I hope this helps 👍🏼

    Quick question: if you were do this with a regular uni knot and no bobber stops, would it still work? Wouldn’t the slip bobber still rise to the top?

    • @KidKrappie

    I'm just starting to try slip bobber fishing and was wondering if the bobber stop will make a mess in the spinning reel when it is completely reeled in.
