    I had my first ever encounter with a Moulton bicycle yesterday, the rider was very, very informative, he spoke so highly of his prized possession and the miles he'd ridden on it.
    When I first looked at the bike I was blown away by the sheer construction and workmanship that had gone into it, and having owned two Mini Mayfairs when I was younger I instantly recognised the rear suspension rubber, as soon as I saw it I said to the gentleman "that looks identical to the suspension rubber that is on the old classic mini's" and he said "it's funny that you should mention that because it's exactly that" and then we were talking away both absolutely enthused by the wonderful piece of engineering that had gone into this fantastic bicycle.
    I was that blown away and impressed by what I'd seen, I'm now going to save up for one for myself.
    If the factory is still ok to have tours of their place over the coming couple of years I'm definitely going to be going there to see and shake the hands of these fantastic bicycle craftsmen.
    I've never wanted a bike as much as I've wanted one of these, I've been riding bikes for over 30 years and intend on still doing so in 30 years to come, I'd feel absolutely honoured if I could do so on a Moulton.
    Thanks for a great video.

    I count myself lucky to have talked to Alex via email years ago. I wanted to thank him for the wonderful hydrolastic suspension I enjoyed on an Austin America (1300) I used to own. He mentioned there was an update to the displacer units if any of my friends still had those cars.
    My old car also had Moulton Dunlop u-joints on the drive axles. I understand his father designed rubber suspension for railway cars.

    I'm a huge Moulton bike fan and lucky enough to own a couple, when Alex Moulton died in December 2012, one of the best tributes to his work was that 'He was a poet in the artistry of steel', whenever I look at a space frame Moulton bicycle, I know exactly what that means!

      Why was the F Type "horrible"? I have one and it is awesome. Converted it to 8 speed.

      @@stevenp2883 I currently own a Schwinn hybrid 26" but before I owned a 20" folding bike from a big box store and I sold it because the ride wasn't smooth (no suspension at all) and even when it had 7 speed it was not enjoyable for a 10 mile ride. My currently bike have 21 speed (I mostly use the 7 speeds from the 2nd shrift only) I'm wonder how different could be the F frame from my current big bike and my previous folding bike. Looking for good reasons to wanting to change my bike again lol

    Why oh why does the rear brake cable make two unnecessary 90 degree turns?

    • @DiegoCamarero
      @DiegoCamarero Год назад

      It does not take 90 but 45-degree turns. I see no issues there.
