Was looking at several other drop deck trailers and some had winches but this is super simple. I will be building this over the winter to replace a rusty used one that has a bad axle placement for my longer chopper. Thanks for the video. As for all the comments about straps and the chalk etc. of course people can replace all that stuff to their liking. This is a demo of the trailer functionality not the video of best bike hauling practices lol. Also DAM those are the beefiest tires I ever saw on a trailer made to carry one motorcycle lol. looks good though and plenty of stability.
A lot of cruisers have rubber mounted handlebars. Tie down should be on the forks not handlebars. I like the trailer design. Simple and easier loading.
Jack, Do you have a set of plans , Or measurements for steel sizes ? I would more than gladlly pay for info.I was thinking of building one with the single axle stub suspension sys.
Without suspension, I'd call it a half assed trailer. Makes for more stress on tie down straps risking breakage. Not hard to do airbag suspension on a trailing arm. With such valuable bikes, I'd also have shockers, so maybe a coilover on a trailing arm.
First. Reach down and put bike in neutral with your hand. Second, start bike. Third, slam bike back in to gear at high idle. Fourth, load bike partially in to wheel chock. Fifth, jump off bike leaving in precariously teetering in wheel chock. Sixth, pull up chaps. Seventh, hang a couple of $5 cam straps on the rubber mounted handlebars. Eighth, jump off and run around to front of bike before it falls over and pull down on $5 cam straps with the same pressure an 8 year old girl guide would exert. Ninth, pull up chaps. 10th, throw your arms in the air and proclaim “done” like a rodeo cowboy that just hogtied a calf. Eleventh. Pull up chaps. Twelfth, ignore rear tire down straps. They are gay as fuck, unlike your chaps and bandana. Sweet trailer though.
Good thing you had those chaps, that was a long ride!

Those friction straps are fast and good for parts bikes only. 😊

Nice setup
Nice!!!
beautiful design... simplistic perfection. how can i get the plan so i can have one made?
Great idea - Strapping down bad though and would not work on all bikes (especially the ones with a batwing or similar faring)
Hello friend, really enjoyed your trailer. The fact of not having dampers and springs beam does not skip the trailer too?

Class trailer.....But chaps and a bandana, dear god!
exactly what I was thinking...😂
Clever.
very nice the worse part is strapping by yourself.
I think hitting bumps at high speeds is going to make that back tire jump around a bit
nice friends
Had to put on chaps and jacket to load bike on trailer? Impressed, am I.
Never use Cam type straps, they slip.
i have a can am spyder RT AND A bmw rt 1200 DO HAVE A TRAILER THAT WOULD FIT BOTH BIKES ?
That is a bad assed trailer

Do they have one for a SlingShot from Polaris?
Perhaps the Canal SPYDER can be.backed onto this trailer?
I'd install a roll in style cycle chock, instead of the strap style,,,,that's what I use and you can still add straps
Tongue Weight. But, nice simple trailer.
clever ..
How do i get one?
what's the price
do the wheels have any kind of suspension?
Beyond being pneumatic tires? Nope. I would be lashing the rear of the bike as well, a few potholes and the tail might go sideways.
No, but the Harley guys just call it a "hardtail." That sounds better than, "rides like crap."
I need a 5x8 Trailer to haul a bender and a generator.... How do I build or get one?
a welder or a visa card

Always got to be one or two trolls out there.
are yall still around ?
Soooo the trailer has ZERO suspension?? No springs/shocks??
hola, tendras los planos como para que yo pueda fabricarme uno aca en argentina?
Ya lo fabricaste tienes planos ?? Yo lo quiero fabricar en Colombia
That design has most of the bike and trailer ahead of the axle. It must have at least 500 pounds of tongue weight.
Bom dia são de onde entrei no vídeo não consegui voltar
Nice costume....hahahaha
Just ride the bloody thing or is this a breakdown trailer.
Never tie down a bike from the handle bars.
You wear your chaps to load your bike? What do you wear to mow the grass?
Full plate mail too be sure.
и никаких лебедок не надо!
Sopra L arcata metti il telo ecco la tenda camping col vantaggio che non sei sul terreno
Why not just have a front wheel clamp, slings not necessary. WTF 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳
