Just so everyone that hasn't seen the unboxing knows, this is not the stock RTR version, this is the roller version. It's using a stock BLX185 system, a couple of cheap servos and it's hooked up to my Spektrum DX5C with a AVC (gyro) receiver. 😁
The one problem I have noticed on my EX-07 is when you have the steering at full turn the wheels cut into the plastic steering joint behind them almost cutting half way through. I have made new ones with my 3D Printer using PLA+ that give the steering rods a bit more angle so they clear the wheels and work great. I use 2 Zeee Power 3S 5200mAh 60C batteries in mine and it is the stock RTR version and at the 70% throttle setting on the controller it does 100 KM/H easily.
great video Vas. just to think you originally cancelled the order because of the haters and now look at how much fun your having because you did the right thing and ignored them.
Yup, loving this thing. I almost hate the fact that I like it so much. LoL. It's blistering fast, looks the business and drives well. Couldn't be happier with it. 😁
I bought one of these many months ago and haven't opened the box yet. I believe I will make time to do so soon after watching this video. The car looks so nice and seems to handle quite well. Awesome vid!
Some nice drifts there, looks good, great to hear you enjoy it too! The rolling chassis I bought has now entered the UK, hoping it'll arrive very soon 😎
Every one of them left hand drifts you nailed made me smile! Nice 👍🏻 it's ace when the car makes you look good at driving 🤣 just kiddin sweet video 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Your drifting skills have markedly improved lately !! You seem to enjoy driving this car ! I'm waiting to see the 6s results on surface with a little more traction.
@@runngunrc1991 Haha I doubt that its going to happen :D Just from the video it seems to be driving really well. One side drifts a little bit easier than the other as far as I can tell but I'm sure you can change that if you want to.. Overall quite comparable to the Infraction I would say. The Felony rear end is a bit more loose... but yeah that's all just based on this video :)
Vas!!! I’ve been around a long time watching you and I’ve seen the frustration come and go. You make the best videos when your having fun. Keep your hater shades on!!! 😎
Nice, glad to see you got this set up nicely. Good thing about those tyres is they are about 1/2 the price of dboots and hopefully should actually last longer due to being a little larger in area.
Hello Vass, I noticed on this and a few other of the rtr remotes like the maverick 4s truck and it drops out for a second here and there , how have you found the ZD remote ?? cheers mate 🙂
@@AussieRCPlayground sweet cheers bud , yeah i may have to get a controller that's going to cater for these faster than usual cars and as there way bigger & i don't want to get any interference especially with these as my driving alone is hard enough to contend with sometimes .
Nice bro. I'm still waiting on whats you think about the 4s Maverick on road. I saw someone do a speed test with the stick gearing and he only got a like 45mph 🤔
If I'm not getting haters, then I'm not doing my job right. LoL. I know for every hater there's 1000 supporters, so I'm not concerned. In fact, I appreciate them just as much nowadays. LoL. They're taking time out of their day to click on my video, so... 🤷🏼♂️😏
@@AussieRCPlayground also Vas if its got the plastic steering bellcrank assembly zd racing came out with an alloy upgrade, it might not be the best aluminum compared to some others but it's a lot better than plastic im sure
Because the other ZD Racing trucks I've had have been a let down. The Pirates 2 was the best one, but it was still fragile and it was only good to drive because that was the roller with my own system in it and I swapped out the tyres because the stock wheels broke on the first run. The Pirates 3 was the worst one by far - one bad landing and the front bumper disappeared, broke steering components, snapped a wheel off and just before I sold it, the ESC failed and almost caught fire. I got rid of both trucks very quickly after I was done with the reviews. So yeah, buying this car was gamble, but because it was a on-road I wasn't sure if it'd have the same results. So far, I'm liking it. A lot. 😁
🤣🤣🤣🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ Yeah, right, so competition means it's a "knockoff"? From what I'm seeing in the hobby over the last couple of years or so, T-brand sues everyone that decides to compete with them and ARRMA fanboys call every car a copy of (insert name here). 🤦🏼♂️ That pretty much sums up this hobby in a nutshell in 2021.
@@AussieRCPlayground I’m no Fanboy. Unless it’s Tekno. But a copy is a copy. I’m all for Competition. But at least make it look different. The bodies are almost identical. Team Corally did the same damn thing.
Are you serious? The bodies are the same? Dude, you need glasses. I'll let you borrow mine if you like. LoL. The Felony is a generic looking Camaro type thing and it's not a licensed body. This is a Mustang body (licensed or not). But even bodies aside, under the body they are nothing alike. Like, not even close! Seriously, have your eyes checked. LoL
@@AussieRCPlayground they are both based off of the Hoonigan. I never said they were exact copies. But they are close enough to see where they came from. I get it that’s how things evolve. But for the price I’d stick with Arrma. At least parts and upgrades are easily accessible.
are you kidding me, aliexpress wants $120 + shipping usd for just the lexan body and that the half off sale, they've bumped their heads, i guess the first thing to do if you get one of those cars is pull the body and make a mold of it before you stat running it, for a $30 body it's not worth the trouble but when they start wanting over $100 for a lexan body that's another story.....
thats a stupid statement. Its a hoonigan car and does not need gripp. Its much the other way around. If a hoonigan car would have no gripp, they could do not what they do. Why else has Arrma several levels of those Hoons. As the gripp does mather.
@@AussieRCPlayground was not meant as an insult. You said around 3.50 or 3:55 they are meant what they should do(be very slippery) and they should not be super grippy. And thats totally wrong. Oh, right... Now I see what you mean. Sorry, your comment wasn't super clear, but I get what you're saying. Well, saying that wasn't stupid, it's just me thinking out loud while driving and prompting the question. It's ok to disagree with the statement, but why is it "stupid"? You brought up ARRMA, so as a comparison, it's no different to having grippy tyres that ware out after the first run. My Infraction did exactly that, although, only on the rear tyres. It's really not that different, because one has grip but wares out the tyres fats, while the other has little grip but has longer lasting tyres. And yes, my tyres were fine after this run. I only said that bit about having little grip as to maybe prompt the conversation as to whether it was intentional or not. Much like drift cars... I appreciate the comment and the support, nonetheless, so thank you. 🙂
@@AussieRCPlayground yes the choosing of that word could have been different but then again the reaction was off somewhat too. Tires wise yes the hoons wear out fast but only the white and gold ones. With the silver I can run up to 3 runs. But that depends also how much one drifts. I wish there would be other after market tires which fit the infraction but the only ones I find and are good are those Spongerubber tires.
