Why does the sensor need wetness? Could wetting the area help conductvity to produce consisten or more reliable results, say like on an ear or paw pad? I have a cat with heart disease and is having cyanosis spells. I'm looking for something to monitor him daily to keep a log for the cardiologist for his next appointment; because he really freaks out in the car/vet clinic so it's throwing off his real heart rate measurements and while he did put him on atenolol we want to make sure his heart rate isn't being slowed TOO much, and we are trying to find the trigger for the cyanosis spells.
