High demanding work flow and cracking down on their creativity so they don't get too creative, especially with Nickelodeon. They're pretty notorious for treating cartoon creators like shit. Nickelodeon hate it when creators don't make shows the way they want the show to be, so the stuff that happened in the last season was most likely their decision and the writer was having none of it.
I heard that he was thrown out because Nickelodeon found the (I think last of season 2) episode "The Ultimate Enemy" too dark. But really, it was one of, the best episodes
Fräulein Zuckerguss The only things I didn't like was that Dan didn't show off any other new powers, and that it was thanks to that one new power that Danny was able to beat him.

AEspurr Gaming I mean't that's your opinion compared to mine. I didn't mean that you are the ONLY one with that opinion. I know there are others out there who share the same thoughts as you do. :P
oh okay... and that's fine... I prefer a more imposing villain as opposed to some rock wannabe who sings POP music. lol seriously, she looks like someone from the band KISS but her voice and music just screams Pop.
Y'know, I'd like to see Danny Phantom return in comic book form (not that it's gonna happen), with the writing team of the first 2 seasons returning, now published by IDW, the same people behind the new TMNT comics. Also, appropriately for Halloween, I've watched Invader Zim lately. Are you gonna review it soon? That's another classic Nicktoon cancelled before it's time.
Here something interesting that went over my head as a kid, the Stephen King reference. The Father's name is Jack and his son is named Danny. Jack is always wrapped up in his own work and is oblivious to his son's special powers he also regularly gets possessed by ghosts. That's the Shining!
I'd just like to remind people that Randy was also obsessed with the Colombine massacre. Blaming Danny Phantom and Ember as the SOLE REASON he went crazy is a bit of an over exaggeration. He was crazy for a long time.
I think my favorite part of the show was when Danny met his evil adult self. I remember it being such a stressful arc (or was it just a few episodes?) I remember being excited and wondering how Danny will defeat his older self who's much stronger, has more powers, more experience, and knows of Danny's strengths and weaknesses. And I was worried about Danny's friends and family, since it was foretold that they would die. I also seem to remember an episode (Christmas episode, I think) where Mrs. Fenton learns that her son is a ghost. But I can't recall what happened afterwards. Just Danny being defeated and reverting back to his human form in front of his mom while trying to defend her.
i like how the only person to ever acknowledge how stupid it is that no one could figure out Danny's secret identity is Danny himself, all be it an alternate version of himself but still himself
Danny Phantom was one of the best cartoons to come in the 00s in my opinion. You can tell that there was so much effort put into it and considering that Butch was pretty much well-known for FOP, it was awesome to see him tackle something more story-driven. And from an artistic perspective, I love how the show experimented with the 3D angles and hyper detailed background/stage design because they could've easily went the easier "flat" perspective route. And I agree, most of the villains in the show were memorable and interesting. I actually didn't mind season 3 though. Sure, some things were off but I personally still found the show watchable. But I will agree that the finale of the show was a pretty mixed bag and could've been better. All in all, Danny Phantom is one of Nickelodeon's best modern cartoons to come out and I'm glad that it exists. Really good review Pan. :)
6:43 His 'ultimate enemy' He's going to say box ghost isn't he? Ten seconds later... Somebody pick up the phone, because I FUCKING CALLED IT! I haven't seen the show in years and that is the only character I can still identify by name.
Just watching clips from this show, it holds up so well. The art style looks so timeless and crisp, the voice acting is great, the rogues gallery. The dynamic Danny has with his family, friends, anti heroes, and villains is just great.
Affan Sami a guy shot up a supermarket and according to his manifesto he thought that some weird afterlife involving the ghost zone and Ember McClain existed
Good on them for picking a good show (Ladybug), bad on their part for relying on other companies to bring in another good show when so many of their other ones are shit, and further shame on them for bringing in the Alvin and the Chipmunks shit from another French studio!
not to mention the awesome score. I used to love the slow, nuanced "ba-duh-duhduh-duh-dun-duhduhduh-duh" from the main theme that they used to play at the end of most episodes as a sort of victory chant. man, you reminded me how much I loved this show
Guys....let's agree on one thing....The ULTIMATE Enemy is the best episode of the entire series. PERIOD. #NoRegrets Plus, When I notice Pan is about to review DP, I immediately scream like Ash from Evil Dead: YEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHH, BABY!!!!!
Fun fact: the pirate ghost kid Young Blood was voiced by Sharkboy and professional shirtless werewolf himself Taylor Lautner. Look it up. I'm not joking
You know Nick also thought the third season was awful. They played most of it in the Death slot on Saturday at like 5:30 am. There was a video by the Wiiviewr trying to find out what happened with it, but he only was able to find it on netflix. He said they changed the time without telling the viewers multiple times and even didn't advertise the finale.
Baguette that show get spammed every Halloween, instead he should review the Ed Edd n eddy Halloween special. That part where Ed jumps off that cliff like a champ kills me every time.
I was thinking this the whole time, too. JoJo has some of the best color work in TV animation, and some of the most memorable villains in all of manga/anime. Plus, that whole "the protagonist wins the fight by outsmarting the villain rather than just beating them up" thing is part of why I stuck with JoJo, and I'm glad I did. Danny Phantom isn't the only show with great ghost fights.
I still remember the first time I saw this show, it was the very first time it aired on YTV(Canada's kid show network) and I was hooked from the minute the intro started. I adored the art style, the colors are my favourite part of the show, I love the ghost sequences the vivid colors are very pleasing to the eyes. I really enjoyed the superhero highschooler stories, especially when I was still in school, the premise of superhero shows is so surreal but the high school setting really helps make the characters more relatable. Not that's the only way to relate to superheroes but I do enjoy the archetype. ... And we don't speak of season 3. As far as I'm concerned Danny Phantom ended at season 2.
Based on this video some of it seems awesome, some if it seems lame and dorky. I guess wether or not you ejoy it depends on what stands out to you more. I'd probably end up liking it, but being ashamed of it because of the lamer aspects.
Oh, I remember getting so weirded out by season 3 and beyond. It felt like they were writing fanfiction and and the jokes got alot more cringy. Only thing I remember liking was the episodes around Danny become this completely evil ghost from the future.
Yeah, I was thinking about it. 2000s nick isn't as well received or lasted as long as 90s nick. Stuff like Tak and the Power of Juju isn't going to be well remembered
It definitely seems like something he'd poke fun at, from the overly long title, to the obvious super robot anime inspiration, to sexual jokes involving robot girls and robot monkeys. Honestly, it's surprising he hasn't done it already.
I was tempted to re watch that series just cause I remembered Mark Hamill did the voice of the skeleton King. It was surprisingly darker than I remember in the later seasons.
I really really need to know- What is that music at 8:00 ?? I know I've heard it somewhere before, maybe in a show or video game, I'm pretty sure video game, but I can't tell. It's killing me.
9:00 if only he would be allowed to say "motherdick," but hey at least the walking dead took advantage of it, since you know, Danny phantom is a kids cartoon technically
Yes actually. I don't exactly dislike Season 3 as some people do but I do find it underwhelming in terms of what happens in the season. And the "finale" left a lot to be desired to me.
@@SuperGamer61499 Season 3 is a mixed bag to me. On the one hand, there are interesting ideas such as Vlad becoming Mayor of Amity Park and Danny getting Ice powers.
No, the real reason is they find other opportunities that pay better, and so they don't have time to keep writing for the old show.
I like shows that put effort in their title cards,
Overall fun show. Gotta love Ember! That one's a classic.
Ember annoyed me, she's a very lame villain
AEspurr Gaming Believe what you want to believe. That's just you, and I respect that.
ThatAlessandroKid no it's not. Plenty of other people will have my opinion too... I'm not the only person on the planet that will dislike her character

I love your comment
Y'know, I'd like to see Danny Phantom return in comic book form (not that it's gonna happen), with the writing team of the first 2 seasons returning, now published by IDW, the same people behind the new TMNT comics.
Also, appropriately for Halloween, I've watched Invader Zim lately. Are you gonna review it soon? That's another classic Nicktoon cancelled before it's time.
Too bad Steve Marmel got fired from Nick.
At least we have the comic and the revival (Thank god not another reboot) to look forward to
Ivan Simpson dude that would be dope
It just got a comic now
This is 6 years in the future comment but there is Glitch in Time graphic novel ft Dark Dan post-series coming out in a week!
Here something interesting that went over my head as a kid, the Stephen King reference. The Father's name is Jack and his son is named Danny. Jack is always wrapped up in his own work and is oblivious to his son's special powers he also regularly gets possessed by ghosts. That's the Shining!
To be fair, Sam's not a goth. She's a hipster.
Fight me
Why? In the ten years later video, Butch Hartman actually said if hipsters were a thing then that's what she would be.
Proto-uber-hipster.
Because she did those things before those became cool.
+bakkahentai2600
So she just goes with the trend?
Pants on Fire Yes, but it was honestly just rebelling against her cheerful parents.
like me
You gotta give it to Sonic Unleashed. That game's soundtrack was godly
Aside from the obvius spin off Sonic Boom, most of Sonic's games have godly soundtracks
if only they had godly game design.
Kreativ Studios People need to put some Respeckt on Unleashed as a whole, all tree of y'all. I ain't gon' say it no mo'.
Day stages had godly game design. Werehog Sections were decent, but not as bad as everyone makes them out to be
Respek*
I'd just like to remind people that Randy was also obsessed with the Colombine massacre.
Blaming Danny Phantom and Ember as the SOLE REASON he went crazy is a bit of an over exaggeration.
He was crazy for a long time.
No ones really serious blaming Danny Phantom, it’s a goof.
Thank you. It's the same thing with Toyota. I'M DRIFTING WHETHER OR NOT THE SUPRA'S IN NEED FOR SPEED!!
6:16 Oh RebelTaxi. If only knew of the infamous kid, Randy Stair.
Ned's Declassified. Danny Phantom.
Ned
Edn
Den
Dne...
Dnē,...
Danny......
Lol
"There's a character out there, in the show, that everybody can relate to."
That raises some unsettling possibilities. Lol!
Watch Loud House. We all know who your favorite character will be.
Luna ?
He already has, he talked about it in his Top 5 CURRENT Modern CARTOONS & Anime (@RebelTaxi) 4 video.
Lucy
He has and she is
he did watch loud house though
its on top 5 current modern cartoons 4
What about the BOOOOOOOOX GHOOOOOST
Im happy.... :)
llama dave Fuck'em
6:52
Chez Bookets 5:43 what about Freddy Krueger
BEWARE
Channel Chasers was pretty dark too
"It was a Ned's Declassified dynamic" I was just thinking that before he said it xD
"The only goth girl I have no feelings for"
So that means you DO like Lucy Loud ;D
He confimed like her. But Pan said not sexually way, he's disguting Human being but not pedophile
Well, I have an cartoon crush on Lucy Loud. So that's that.
TheFormidibleDan He said 'interest', not feelings...
"The goth girl I have no *interest* for."
Liking a cartoon character is nothing to do with being a paedophile.
Seriously, cartoons aren't real people.
"Whenever some supernatural shit goes on, the backgrounds change to green and purple"
[Reminisces about JoJo]
Absolutely one of the best 2000's shows.
To this day, still my favorite cartoon from the 2000s.
i like how the only person to ever acknowledge how stupid it is that no one could figure out Danny's secret identity is Danny himself, all be it an alternate version of himself but still himself
6:43 His 'ultimate enemy'
He's going to say box ghost isn't he?
Ten seconds later...
Somebody pick up the phone, because I FUCKING CALLED IT!
I haven't seen the show in years and that is the only character I can still identify by name.
You're legit the best cartoon review channel on RUclips and easily one of my favorites altogether. These are amazing, keep doing what you're doing.
Just watching clips from this show, it holds up so well. The art style looks so timeless and crisp, the voice acting is great, the rogues gallery. The dynamic Danny has with his family, friends, anti heroes, and villains is just great.
This show was so great it made my homeboy shoot up a super market.
You see those 2 dislikes, yeah well that's me... That's what you get for using a Disney commercial inside a Nickelodeon review
idiot
+J Smith He lied, dipshit. He liked the video.
No one cares.
Helping you out fam
so he can use a Cartoon Network commercial in a Nickelodeon review, but not Disney.
I swear to christ i had vietnam flashbacks when i heard the words "Box ghost." Man i miss that dude
6:16 RebelTaxi predicted Randy Stair
Ember McClain is very uncomfortable these days
Yes
how so?
Affan Sami a guy shot up a supermarket and according to his manifesto he thought that some weird afterlife involving the ghost zone and Ember McClain existed
Mark Beach
Only if you make it so
@@alfa01spotivo Exactly
Did anyone noticed that Pan changed the title of the video from "Danny Phantom Review" to "Danny Phantom: The last good Butch Hartman show" ?
Now it’s more accurate.
After Nick cancelled This show and Catscratch, it officialy died since with the exception of few good Cartoons (Harvey Beaks and Loud House)
technically we have TMNT Harvey Beaks, the Loue House and I feel like im missing one more
Miraculous Ladybug
Not their product, It's French.
Ladybug is not a Nick show it's made by a French company that's not part of nick
Good on them for picking a good show (Ladybug), bad on their part for relying on other companies to bring in another good show when so many of their other ones are shit, and further shame on them for bringing in the Alvin and the Chipmunks shit from another French studio!
not to mention the awesome score. I used to love the slow, nuanced "ba-duh-duhduh-duh-dun-duhduhduh-duh" from the main theme that they used to play at the end of most episodes as a sort of victory chant. man, you reminded me how much I loved this show
Every Danny Phantom episode:
*ghost breath*
Danny: Oh no
Danny: Oh no
Danny: Oh no
Guys....let's agree on one thing....The ULTIMATE Enemy is the best episode of the entire series. PERIOD. #NoRegrets
Plus, When I notice Pan is about to review DP, I immediately scream like Ash from Evil Dead:
YEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHH, BABY!!!!!
Definitely. It actually made the Box Ghost seem like a threatening villain.
It FUSED villains into awesomeness
"Beware..."
to be honest, out of all the episode, I feel The Ultimate Enemy is overrated. It's not BAD but it's my least favorite of the 4 hour long specials
Kelsey Griggs Then what is?
Danny's haircut is completely original! look at the top! it has 3 indents ;)
I don't see a reboot happening anytime soon...
Like a fourth season to fix season 3
dude needs to do that movie with the Halloween godmother I loved it
YES
Baguette that show get spammed every Halloween, instead he should review the Ed Edd n eddy Halloween special.
That part where Ed jumps off that cliff like a champ kills me every time.
He already reviewed the halloween special you dork.
edit: Nevermind it was a creepy pasta video, not the halloween episode.
Omar Pinon But its such a heartwarming classic and everybody loves it
scary godmother!
Well, I honestly don't really mind the 3rd season. It had it's issues, but it still had it's high points.
Same
I love all three seasons here is my top ten
10. Dark Dan
9. kitty
8. Wulf
7. Ember
6. Jazz
5. Danielle
4. Vlad
3. Tucker
2. Sam
1. Danny
anyone else had a huge crush on danny at some point xD?
.
Book Lover how is that relevant to the comment?
Whoops; I posted in the wrong comment section, sorry! And yeah, I do remember having a little crush on Danny. XD.
Yeah...But i became more mature, and i stopped having a crush on him. .-.
I mean... he's not bad-looking
I got hooked on this show in December of 2022, and I just LOVE THIS SHOW.
I've always loved Lancer due to the literature refrences (like The Great Gatsby and Lord of the Flies being my favorite books atm)
When I notice Pan is about to review DP, I immediately scream like Ash from Evil Dead:
YEEEEEAAAAAAHHHHHH, BABY!!!!!
Imagine if they had a parody of Ash in the show.
I always loved how Ember's song was also her backstory.
Congratulations on making it to 300,000 Subscriber you are the best Cartoon Goth loving Pan Pizza Raven splitter & the most awesome Channel ever
You like animated musician villains, well-written antagonists, color pallet changes, and action? Why in the Hell aren't you into JoJo?
I blame dio
I was thinking this the whole time, too. JoJo has some of the best color work in TV animation, and some of the most memorable villains in all of manga/anime. Plus, that whole "the protagonist wins the fight by outsmarting the villain rather than just beating them up" thing is part of why I stuck with JoJo, and I'm glad I did. Danny Phantom isn't the only show with great ghost fights.
He is, didn't he mention Jojo a few times in his videos?
Nice profile
I still remember the first time I saw this show, it was the very first time it aired on YTV(Canada's kid show network) and I was hooked from the minute the intro started. I adored the art style, the colors are my favourite part of the show, I love the ghost sequences the vivid colors are very pleasing to the eyes. I really enjoyed the superhero highschooler stories, especially when I was still in school, the premise of superhero shows is so surreal but the high school setting really helps make the characters more relatable. Not that's the only way to relate to superheroes but I do enjoy the archetype.
... And we don't speak of season 3. As far as I'm concerned Danny Phantom ended at season 2.
my friend hated this show. idk why i really enjoyed it
you still friends with that person? haha, just kidding.
MrDotious I've always hated it
Based on this video some of it seems awesome, some if it seems lame and dorky. I guess wether or not you ejoy it depends on what stands out to you more. I'd probably end up liking it, but being ashamed of it because of the lamer aspects.
Honestly this video is the first I had ever heard of people disliking the 3rd season. I enjoyed the whole show.
Oh, I remember getting so weirded out by season 3 and beyond. It felt like they were writing fanfiction and and the jokes got alot more cringy.
Only thing I remember liking was the episodes around Danny become this completely evil ghost from the future.
I really have been waiting for this forever. 💕💕
Needs declassified: School shooting survival guide
I'm still convinced a full on action show remake of this would be amazing. I'd love to see it in the style of something like Spectacular Spiderman.
Thank you I will now forever associate the Werehog Battle Music with that strange purple color shift DP employs for fight scenes
The 2010s nostalgia aint happening for nick they made a bunch of garbage and kept repeating spongebob.
Yeah, I was thinking about it. 2000s nick isn't as well received or lasted as long as 90s nick. Stuff like Tak and the Power of Juju isn't going to be well remembered
Holy crap I remember Tak
Damn remember the games? I couldn't stand the co-op one.
I remember they would have the tak games at burger king or some shit back then.
+RebelTaxi Wait, that was a thing?
as usually pan, your videos are like looking through a photo album of things I saw on TV once 10+ years ago in the most delightful way😃
Would you consider doing Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go!?
Probably, if you pay him enough
It definitely seems like something he'd poke fun at, from the overly long title, to the obvious super robot anime inspiration, to sexual jokes involving robot girls and robot monkeys. Honestly, it's surprising he hasn't done it already.
I was tempted to re watch that series just cause I remembered Mark Hamill did the voice of the skeleton King. It was surprisingly darker than I remember in the later seasons.
Ah, did you mean Super Robot Monkey Hyper Neo Nazi Republican Mega Force Go?
No, creamy, that's not what I meant.
Spider Man meets Ghostbusters. We shall call it...Spider Busters! No? No takers?
I lost it when he brought up Hank Hill singing stampede.
The Danny Phantom theme was my JAM back in the day :D
I'm so glad to see this review !
I really really need to know- What is that music at 8:00 ?? I know I've heard it somewhere before, maybe in a show or video game, I'm pretty sure video game, but I can't tell. It's killing me.
Theme of SpiderMan 2 the movie
Oh, of course! I used to watch that thing all the time when I was younger- thanks, man
That's the main theme from Spiderman 3
9:00 if only he would be allowed to say "motherdick," but hey at least the walking dead took advantage of it, since you know, Danny phantom is a kids cartoon technically
As someone who loves 2000's cartoons, I'm happily awaiting for when Nick does a 2000's re-run cash in.
I love that you touched on the "Truce" between Danny and Vlad. Something that most never really touched on. Another great video!
Wait, people didn't like season 3?
I not kidding when I say this is the first time I've heard ANYONE say that.
I liked that season.
Yes actually. I don't exactly dislike Season 3 as some people do but I do find it underwhelming in terms of what happens in the season. And the "finale" left a lot to be desired to me.
@@SuperGamer61499
Season 3 is a mixed bag to me. On the one hand, there are interesting ideas such as Vlad becoming Mayor of Amity Park and Danny getting Ice powers. On the flip side, there were stuff that were left unresolved, like Valerie finding out Vlad was a supervillain or Vlad's deal with Fright Knight...
It was around the time the show got cancelled, so looking back now, it seems like there was a lot of rushed writing.
That season is okay.
NOW, the matter is the enidng xD
@@johnnygyro2295 The problem is that the series finished just when characthers like Valerie or Dani were starting to deveploment. The last episode before the finale shows how Valerie wants to take revenge on Vlad for trick her, how she wants to revenge on him because he is a ghost.
Bring Danny Phantom back
-me
Bring Danny phantom back, fear me
-ghost translator from episode three
Chicken soup for the soul!
3:25 AW don't get me all nostalgic again man! I loved Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide!
6:40 I was so hoping you would include the box ghost, and I was pleased.
