Perhaps I should have not allowed my romanticized version of Ooty, as created from watching Moondraam Pirrai, to be squashed, crushed and quelled by a real trip to this place. It was dirty, crowded with people not thinking twice before spitting and discarding their rubbish indiscriminately. The busy traffic and diesel-fueled vehicles made the cold air offensive to inhale. This continued into Conoor and Kodaikanal. I don’t understand why this total disregard for hygiene. Isn’t cleanliness next to Godliness? What more in a country that promotes spirituality. I like traveling but ofter trip to ooty. I hate it.we want there by road and the traffic was very busy.i parked my car beside the roadfrom the sinkness and headche. On the way all the hotels are very expensive and in shopkeeper sells there iteams on veryy high price.
We agree 💯 with you. Change is needed but most of them don’t bother to change. Taxis and auto are numerous and overcrowded at tourist spots. What we can do is, being responsible , be a traveller than tourist and keep cleanliness as priority

Conoor has alot of strawberries plugging but becareful of scams. Golf we learnt from national gold player and location: Wellington Gymkhana club
