I am dreaming about getting a Ural. I do love my GS1200 but there is something about these machines that speaks to me. "Those magnificent men in their flying machines" is a movie I remember well from my teen years, and somehow these sidecars take me back to a simpler time. I may have a had a Gin and Tonic or two, but the sound of those engines is music to my ears. I can absolutely see myself discovering back roads and all the sights and smells that come along with a more relaxed pace. Nice video and maybe the push I need to make the dream a reality. Thank you
Yes… that was a good movie. I do love my Ural. It is a do anything vehicle. Load is up for camping… go shopping with it… no limits. It is slow on the highway, but I have always hated freeways, so not a problem. It is a throwback in time, but has modern touches to make it more livable. Thanks for watching!
Well I’ve gone and done it! I found myself a 2019 gear up (all black) with only 3400 kilometres on the clock. Now if only winter would end already! Alan, I was wondering if you had a tach on your bike, or do you just go by the seat of your pants (probably the best way). As I await the appropriate time to pick up my rig I am toying with a list of possible upgrades. Is there anything in particular you would recommend? Thanks for the corruptive videos…👍😳
Yikes - I knew that 😬. Good question. Although we didn’t stop anywhere with people, I did notice that people waved at the Ural with a passenger more than at me riding solo. I’m sure that a Ural with a dog would even be more popular.
In thinking about it, it should be linear with with the number of Urals, but exponential with the number of dogs… UDF = kne^d where k is the base UDF, n is the number of Urals and d is the number of dogs. Purely hypothetical of course.
@@Uraljunkie ural delay singular, ural delay multiple urals. also the relation to passengers (humans) vs passengers (dogs) then we need formulas for costumes or decorations as well. (I decorated my rig for Christmas to go looking at lights) So many variables.
their is five ural in my city and we never rode together. I always see them individually on the opposite side of the highway or I am in my car...grr ..

What's the official UDF multiplier whenever you introduce a new rig into the equation? Is it X number of Urals, or is there more science to it?

Have two already. Trick is to convince my wife that it is safe for a dog. Would love to haul Oliver around with me!
