exactly yaar i live in PAKISTAN and here the traditional dress is shalwar kameez i can't even wear kameez upto my knees and sometimes it feels fucking bad even i wear niqab outside my house.

But I think that it's harmful to be forced to wear what your parents want Because growing up the older I get the more insecure I get about my body and it's really mentally exhausting, my cousins are allowed to wear what they want but only me since I'm a female and I am just really hurt.

Sister, times are tough.don’t be influenced by liberalism and all that. Islam gives you every right as woman or man. Do this for Allah not anyone else. Read a book called beauty sick. Women these days are never happy with their looks because they see all others around them more beautiful and stuff as shown in media and ads. Don’t fall for that whole system. It’s not gonna be easy but if Allah willing, he will always answer. We all have desires and wants. Be patient and really learn about Islam.

When it's a hot day, at home wear a long flowing skirt (ankle length) - this will allow air to flow through your legs and will keep you cooler than wearing shorts or trousers

It depends on what family and what culture you are. If you are from moderate one then of course yes because The Quran doesn't forbid you from wearing adorn garments in front of your parents, siblings. But if you are from conservative family then answer will be no,the conservative scholar will tell you to wear loose and cover your knees. But in reality there is no Quranic verses that forbids it. It is just people gives some exceptions where father becames rapist of their own daughter . I wear it in front of my dad ( I don't have brothers) . So it's up to your family background conservative or moderate.

Ok so i wear modest clothes generally (shalwaar kameez) and i use a dupatta( piece of cloth which is worn over your kameez to fully cover your chest) when outside but in my home i generally dont place the duppata on my chest. The only men in my home are my brother and my father. Now is that wrong?
