Gosh you guys do some BEAUTIFUL work!! Wish I had found these videos sooner in my retouching an oriental room divider I have been working on for WEEKS! I am close to finally finishing it, but I think I would have been better off removing most of the paint and redoing the gold bamboo shoots. I didnt want to attempt to redo them because I am lousy with free hand stuff and I was afraid I would ruin it completely so I have been working around it and trying to preserve the original design. I think I almost have it but Sandy's method of laying on the pattern could have made it possible for me to have redone the whole design and gotten it done much faster! Thanks for sharing some of your techniques and all the wonderful videos you have done! I have recently gotten myself into redoing a couple pieces of furniture and boy is it a lot of work! Not sure I will do too many more but the finished product turning out well does make it worth the effort!

This is what I want to do to my furniture. I love hand painting designs and oriental is my favorite. I wish she would do some more in depth videos on the techniques, as I would to start my own hand painted furniture business. I’ve done decorative painting(mostly a Victorian theme, country, animals,Tuscan, and fruit). But oriental is my personal favorite. I want to learn how to mix the putty and lacquer, and the gold powders. I’ve only used acrylic paints and I know nothing about these products. I’m glad I found your videos. Thank you!
