It has been my alarm clock since a couple of years now.best choice i have ever made! Now i don't hate to be waken up by my alarm clock, in the past i had this hate thing with alarm clocks now its just time to float back in to the new day.
I did this with Fireflies - Owl City when it was first out and I was working from 6am. If I hear this song now, it gives me flashbacks to waking up at 5am and it makes me panic thinking I've slept in. I do not recommend using your fave song as an alarm lol, I have lasting effects from it.
Which is why I knew I had to see them live. Ever since a 2004 live radio studio performance...finally almost 20 yrs later got to. Twice. AMAZING. Wish this song was played. The bands chemistry is 🔥!!!! 🙌
why does nobody EVER mention what a monster Mike Einziger is? the dude could pick up any instrument, and totally own your face off with it. the guys oozing talent. Keith Richards wasn't the most crisp player, but his originality is what made him famous. people may get pissy, but I place Einziger in the same category as Keith Richards.
No one should be pissy because he really is amazing, some may be able to pick up an instrument and play it but very few can pick one up and play it like they've been playing for 80 years cx
no joke, dude. and the crazy thing is, he sounds just as good live. he's one of those rare breeds. I put John Frusciante in that category too. he's a complete monster.
Clay Hinkle you can almost kind of tell when you really listen to the undertones. that's pretty awesome. they're both top-notch, man. love 'em both. it doesn't get much more "original" than those two.
I’m not grouped in with the scrubs you’re referring to as “we” I deserve this song to bring me peace in this crazy world. If you feel like you don’t deserve this song maybe ya outta change the way you move.
This band is genious but so underated, because they always play outside the mainstream, their music too unique.. This song, the warmth, summer romance, anna molly, too many unique songs to mention from this band...
I’m floating down a river Oars freed from their holes long ago Lying face up on the floor Of my vessel I marvel at the stars And feel my heart overflow Further down the river Two weeks without my lover I’m in this boat alone Floating down a river named emotion Will I make it back to shore? Or drift into the unknown Further down the river I’m building an antenna Transmissions will be sent When I am through Maybe we can meet again Further down the river And share what we both discovered Then revel in the view Further down the river I’m floating down a river
The best of Incubus is when they incorporate orchestra themes within their music, even if it isn't the main focus. I loved everything from Morning View, particularly because they include these string and wind instruments and that add the extra emotion to the music. This song is a prime example of what I wish Incubus was today. I really liked 8, but it's really lacking the old-school Incubus that I think we all fell in love with. I really wish they could do a live version with an actual orchestra, that would bring a tear to my eye.
This was the last song I saw them perform in 2017 at Mansfield, MA. I traveled all the way from Trinidad and Tobago to see them live at the Xfinity Center.. It was one of the best nights of my life, I will never forget ❤
Mike HAD to have been in a cocoon of brilliance far beyond the comprehension of any Earth-made visual receivers, because we missed the visual representation of an amazing solo..... I love Incubus.
Right !? No disrespect to the drummer but this song is literally him playing cymbals and the kick drum, yet he is in almost every shot at the end. Dude is making that Pipa cry ... !
Wow!!!! MIKE EZINGER blew my mind in this performance, he is multi-talented with the string instruments. It's like I can feel more than I hear him playing with the pluck of every string. This is my drift away song for relaxation or when I'm occasionally getting lost in my thoughts. This song take you sailing down the Yangtze river back in time.
listen to Fungus Among us. Their first album. It's incredibly... disappointing. That said, everything from Science onward is gold. They just had to mature I guess. Incubus is my favorite band ever, but after years, I've still never been able to get into that first album.
jordanpk159 fungus amongus is rock solid and probably the best sounding album besides If Not Now, When? (OMG dynamics on an incubus album? O.O) The energy on Fungus Amongus is very high, that would be the stepping stones to enter the next phase that is S.C.I.E.N.C.E. If you can't get into fungus amongus, try listening to enjoy incubus and then go back and play those songs like You Will Be a Hot Dancer, Take Me To Your Leader, Hilikus, The Answer. I love that album.
+jordanpk159 How dare you! sink beneath the line, hilikus, and azwethinkweiz are just damn funky and fresher than baked bread. I think you need your ears checked :p
I can’t believe how good this song is. I always save it for when I’m not particularly sad which is rare. It reminds me of country drives and my sister.
Same here, when I was a senior in high school I had a super chill river spot and Everytime it was pouring rain is just play this song and with the sounds rain on the river and their is my 🕉️☯️Zen☯️🕉️
I feel his soul in this song. It reminds me of the feeling of being seen for who I truly am(not who others want me to be), and understood at a soul level. I’m staying strong through the days I feel alone, believing that there is another soul out there that feels this way too. Through our souls journey we will find our way back to one another. Maybe we can meet again further down the river, and share what we both discovered, then revel in the view….
Had to come back to say, Michael Aaron Einziger, your strings in this still pierce a place in me that I have to visit oh so often. Thank you for the timeless art. I hope you get the full measure of what you've put into the world. That is immortality.
I cant explain how many nights I centered my mind to this song through the years since this was released. Much respect to Incubus for taking a deep cut and putting it out there for everyone to see.
I've always had difficulties falling & staying asleep... Not only is this my lullaby & works for me, this song also makes me feel insanely peaceful & rejuvenating within. Im so grateful for this song and, the skills they came up with to compose it! 10 out 10 I give it 10+! BTW- my opinion... I think they should do more songs like these (that involve the pipa)! Im sure they could pull it off and be creative with it in so many ways! Js.
Margarita Salguero I feel the same way. For example, it's almost 5:30 in the morning and I'm not asleep yet. So I make a playlist of Incubus to help me sleep. Besides this one, Echo is the other one that helps me sleep.
I grew up with this band. They raised me more then my family and anyone else..And i know that i am not alone..There are so many people, true fans and we are one great community of people all aroumd the world..My only wish is that after covid and this lockdown they come in East Europe .
I saw Incubus live once, this was my favourite. It made me emotional which was weird, it’s never happened before. Have tickets to see them at The Royal Albert Hall for my birthday. To say I’m sad it probably won’t happen because of Covid is an understatement. 😩💔
So BEAUTIFUL. JUST SO BEAUTIFUL. KIDS THESE DAYS HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TALENT AND POETIC MUSIC IS REALLY ABOUT. I'VE BEEN AN INCUBUS FAN SINCE THE BEGINNING IN 95' AND WILL ALWAYS BE A FAN. WISH I WAS AT THIS INTIMATE SHOW ALTHOUGH I HAVE SEEN U GUYS LIVE 3X AND U NEVER DISAPPOINT. KEEP GOING STRONG AND I WILL ALWAYS BE A FAN
This is what makes incubus great. The fact that they can produce the same genuine sound and feel of the album version while playing live. Respect to that because many artists can’t.
They sound so good live. Very few groups can put on a performance that sounds just like the recording done in the studio. There's no denying they're good.
I am currently writing an essay echoing words and themes of thousands of people, all that I care about is having a break in between regurgitating material, in which I shall hang out of my window, drink my wine, smoke my cigarette and listen to this song. And in this moment I am happy. Happy.
This song has been my alarm clock for a couple of years now and i dont wake up stressed when i hear it. On my early 20's i used to use annoying songs as alarm clocks, i thought so i would get up faster but it didn't work at all, all it did was to really piss me off! Then i thought why not Aqueous Transmission, now i am turning 30 this year and i have heard from previous relationships that this alarm clock is really relaxing to wake up with. Didn't know until today its a pipa what mike was playing, nice to know!
The most beautiful song ever! All the feels in one song! We never know what is really in store for us further down the river in life! Do your best and be positive always!
2003. Afghanistan. Just south of Khost. An orange dragon fly hovering over the canal running through our base. This song struck me with the Zen instant I can only reflect upon. Further down....
One of the most beautiful songs ever made.
I agree
Took the words right out of my mouth ❤️
Yes it is!
Easily in my top ten songs of all time
Agree so much!!
The people in this room have no idea how lucky they are to experience this I would be vibing so hard if I was in this room … this song is my peace 🙌👌
We listened too it 200 times driving in the southwest off road seeing america agreeee
That's exactly what I was thinking!
Right???
They'd get pissed at me bc I'd be singing it 😂
If you do, they do.
But I respect the envy. This IS a masterpiece.
If it ain't in the time capsule for the world to reset if we need to, it should be.
My roommate and friend in university chose this song as his clock alarm to wake up. Now, thats a great and relaxing way of starting a day!!!!!!!!
Great Idea, I'm doing it too from now on!
lies, there is no way this will wake you up with how calm it is, that or you'll start to hate the song because of it waking you up
I did it a long time ago, now I barely listen this music. haha
It has been my alarm clock since a couple of years now.best choice i have ever made! Now i don't hate to be waken up by my alarm clock, in the past i had this hate thing with alarm clocks now its just time to float back in to the new day.

Brandon Boyd is one of the few singers who sounds identical to his recordings when he sings live!
Plus this song is so soothing!
I would say the same for jason mraz! Absolutely stunning voice live and ridiculously close to recording!
Which is why I knew I had to see them live. Ever since a 2004 live radio studio performance...finally almost 20 yrs later got to. Twice. AMAZING. Wish this song was played. The bands chemistry is 🔥!!!! 🙌
Whenever I cannot sleep or have anxiety, this song puts me in such a good place. So healing and relaxing 🙌
me too...always helps
The whole album for me

+Ohio Against The World John is one of mikes inspirations, they both have different styles of guitar playing, but they both have amazing originality!
Clay Hinkle you can almost kind of tell when you really listen to the undertones. that's pretty awesome. they're both top-notch, man. love 'em both. it doesn't get much more "original" than those two.
for sure. Mike E. is a monster guitar player. Write and plays beautifully.
i actually transcended my material existence for a moment
Kowboy Santos wow
That was profound
Your mind was floating down the river...... 🐸
Hahaha yeaaaah!!!!!
my zen music before when i was still a stoner haha
We don't deserve songs like these. Music like this brings peace to my soul.
We do deserve it. ❤️
I definitely do lol
Who's WE? I do.. seee you down the river.
You're talking pish
I’m not grouped in with the scrubs you’re referring to as “we” I deserve this song to bring me peace in this crazy world. If you feel like you don’t deserve this song maybe ya outta change the way you move.
This song has such an impact on my life, it’s part of my soul at this point. Thank You Incubus for this gift to the world 🌎 🌹
Fuckin geniuses. Every one of them. Just damn...
This band is genious but so underated, because they always play outside the mainstream, their music too unique.. This song, the warmth, summer romance, anna molly, too many unique songs to mention from this band...
3:59 - I love Jose's expression. Why is this band so amazing?!?! I will be 80 years old and listening to Incubus.
I’ll be right there with ya! The nursing home will be an Incubus party in a few decades 😂
Mike was a beast in this performance.
He lip-sync’d in most of his backup vocals.
2:05
3:26
I want someone to love me like Brandon Boyd loves that mic...
Come here ok ;)
+VinxTerranova same here its not easy waiting for your reflection but is easy at the same time
😂Ahahahaha 🔝 Lovely
YOU WIN THE INTERNET X)))))
VinxTerranova hHahahahahha this was funny
Listening to this song in the rain right now. So peaceful.
Losd listened to this travelling through south east Asia. I'm wanting to go back so bad right now after listening to that!
I can relate. Peace
I’m floating down a river
Oars freed from their holes long ago
Lying face up on the floor
Of my vessel
I marvel at the stars
And feel my heart overflow
Further down the river
Two weeks without my lover
I’m in this boat alone
Floating down a river named emotion
Will I make it back to shore?
Or drift into the unknown
Further down the river
I’m building an antenna
Transmissions will be sent
When I am through
Maybe we can meet again
Further down the river
And share what we both discovered
Then revel in the view
Further down the river
I’m floating down a river
For the longest I thought he said "Fla-da-da-ma-me-haa" lol on live performances he speaks more clearly
As a fledgling Buddhist myself I appreciate the lyrics. Brandon has Om Mani Padme Hum tattoed in Tibetan script on his R forearm.
Great song. Thanks JJ
Wonderfully done!!
Thank you ❤
Literally one of the first cds I bought with my first job! And 15 years later its still Gold!

Morning View album number 1 in my book
Do you know what the wind instrument is that’s playing in this song?
YES I completely agree
❤❤💙💙
I just saw this live and they brought Lizzo out to play the flute for this song
My favorite relaxation song .... I love you incubus!! Concert tonight should be awesome!! Love you and deftones both!
I saw them and deftones a few years ago in dallas as well!
Ladies: i want brandon to be my baby father.
Men: wtf is the camera guy doin on the pipa solo.
No way dude. You think I gave a crap about Brandon's pretty face when Mike was ripping that pipa like a boss? Camera guy was trippin.
Woman here and irritated af with the camera guy for missing that killer solo🙄
Man here: I want to have that man’s babies too 🤣🤣🤣
This was the last song I saw them perform in 2017 at Mansfield, MA. I traveled all the way from Trinidad and Tobago to see them live at the Xfinity Center.. It was one of the best nights of my life, I will never forget ❤
Aaaahhhh.... the good old days. '04 on my pc playing emulated classic final fantasy while incubus' song playing in the background.😂
I seriously overlooked these guys live
Mike HAD to have been in a cocoon of brilliance far beyond the comprehension
of any Earth-made visual receivers, because we missed the visual representation of an amazing solo..... I love Incubus.
this sounds absolutely beautiful live....
Yes
Neuros que se extorcionan solos . piñas.
I love incubus. I remember when this song first came out I was obsessed and still am.
This song healed me in ways I will always be grateful for. Make yourself saved my life. Appreciation isn’t even the right word. Something far greater.
Looks like a difficult instrument. And he plays is exceptionally and effortlessly
Musical instrument is a Pipa
A traditional Chinese musical instrument belonging to the plucked category of instruments.
pipa player goes off the entire last minute of the song and the camera shows literally everyone but him....
Right !? No disrespect to the drummer but this song is literally him playing cymbals and the kick drum, yet he is in almost every shot at the end. Dude is making that Pipa cry ... !
thats mike einziger for ya
Wow!!!! MIKE EZINGER blew my mind in this performance, he is multi-talented with the string instruments.

I have never heard one bad song from incubus.. That's amazing in itself. ;)

jordanpk159 fungus amongus isn't their best but considering they were 16 years old at the time is impressive
To make such beautiful music like this, and the way he kisses that microphone, Brandon must be a hell of a passionate lover, omg. ♥
MaKayla Nirsberger omg same thought
back off ladies...hes mine!...lol
robbie luckino its not love but lust
gayyy
None of us will ever really know.
I think i would cry if I heard this live
I'll share my tissues with you 💙
Mike kiiiiills its. so clean.
I can’t believe how good this song is. I always save it for when I’m not particularly sad which is rare. It reminds me of country drives and my sister.
This song hits home and brings tears to my eyes.
This is memory music for me. Brings back nostalgic feelings and I had the biggest crush on Brandon Boyd ( who didn't!)
I dont know but this is what I like to listen, especially when Im driving during rainy day. 💕
2020 anyone? 🙃
Same here, when I was a senior in high school I had a super chill river spot and Everytime it was pouring rain is just play this song and with the sounds rain on the river and their is my 🕉️☯️Zen☯️🕉️
Duncan Of DOOM the feeling of this song is very relaxing. 😌
Coming from the future in 2021 ha! This song has been my go to rainy day song for years now
Watching this dope band a few day's ago something that i never forget for the rest of my life.peace & luv all the way from KL,Malaysia. 💚👑♥️
This was a spiritual experience for me 🙏 ❤
I feel his soul in this song. It reminds me of the feeling of being seen for who I truly am(not who others want me to be), and understood at a soul level. I have never been more jealous of a microphone 🫠
I want to be THAT microphone *.*

falling in love again with Brandon Boyd 🥰🥰😍😍😍😍
What a fucking incredible player the guitarist is
I think I've listened to this song 999,000 times in my life and it never gets old.
Smooth like butter, shivers down the spine
best incubus song ever
Don't get crazy!
More than a decade and still part of my 'Lullaby' playlist. :D
I admire how a person can sit and hear all this in their thoughts and bring to life...
I cant explain how many nights I centered my mind to this song through the years since this was released. Much respect to Incubus for taking a deep cut and putting it out there for everyone to see.

It is the chinese instrument Pipa. Very difficult but he makes it look easy
@Harvey Eliseo what, why
@@Bumb1eB3327 lol. Cause the techniques used in pipa is almost opposite than guitar
Oh I thought it was a banjo lmao
It sounds so freaking badass
What a great band they are..To this day this is one of greatest songs ever..
I grew up with this band. They raised me more then my family and anyone else..And i know that i am not alone..There are so many people, true fans and we are one great community of people all aroumd the world..My only wish is that after covid and this lockdown they come in East Europe
.
Who’s waiting for this to be released soon?
Mike is so talented
I saw Incubus live once, this was my favourite. It made me emotional which was weird, it’s never happened before. Have tickets to see them at The Royal Albert Hall for my birthday. To say I’m sad it probably won’t happen because of Covid is an understatement. 😩💔
I bought tickets to the RATM reunion... I was gonna fly from India to Vienna. Covid 😐
I hope it happens for you. It's going to be the best birthday ever.
2021.
If you listen this wonderful masterpiece you are a legend 💕💕❤️❤️🤟
Dear camera-guy, during a wicked Pipa solo no one cares what everyone else is doing.
Jonathan Milner He blew it big time! Mike was killin it during the last minute. What a disappointment.
Especially when it's Steve Vai's pipa!!!
Thank you
Camera guy shot everything but the feeling of the moment.
Fark.
What a clown that camera guy is. He deserved the spotlight on that
So BEAUTIFUL.
#hipster
Ugh you’re one of those people
So good 🌙🌹
Still love this beautiful song ❤😊
You cracked my vessel, reached in and ate my soul. That’s how you know what a women feels like when she is celebrating your existence
This is what makes incubus great. The fact that they can produce the same genuine sound and feel of the album version while playing live. Respect to that because many artists can’t.
This always makes my day.
1st big fan of your music
This is the ultimate song! His vocals mixed with the melody and the instrumentation... my GOD.
Wow guys... I got goosebumps. What a great combination of instruments...
...My absolute favorite, evers!
Love this song, flawless live performance. Can't believe the did the frogs at the end on the live version, too!
I learned today that brandon boyd is a great bassist based from that 1 viral facebook short video.
Beautiful song
They sound so good live. Very few groups can put on a performance that sounds just like the recording done in the studio. There's no denying they're good.

So relaxing 😌
I love this song, feels like floating down the river
belissima musica....performance maravilhoso do Incubus
melhor banda de rock alternativo que existe 🤘
They are so amazing live!
This is 12 minutes or something crazy on the album, best sleep ever.
This song has been my alarm clock for a couple of years now and i dont wake up stressed when i hear it. On my early 20's i used to use annoying songs as alarm clocks, i thought so i would get up faster but it didn't work at all, all it did was to really piss me off! Didn't know until today its a pipa what mike was playing, nice to know!
I had this on a continual loop last night to drown out my husband's snoring. :D I actually got some sleep!
I also listen to this song when I need to sleep. It is so beautiful and relaxing
Hilarious, this made me giggle.
One of the best songs
I just can't put words to say how much I love this song *.*
The most beautiful song ever! All the feels in one song! We never know what is really in store for us further down the river in life! Do your best and be positive always!
This song reminds me of good times.

I love you i love you that was absolutely wonderfull
this could 100% be a song for an animated movie, and would probably fit them all as well
Mike Enziger is nasty at the loot. Makes me want to order one right now
Eargasmic shit
Can't wait to see you guys live this coming April ❤
Mike is probably my favorite guitarist. Very inspirational.
That guitarist mike has soul man

Beautiful Rendition!. Transmission received!.....
Gawd I’ll forever love this
I thing b.boyd is one of the best lyricist.
well I can honestly say that the instrument Mike is playing I have never seen before :P
it's called a pipa, a bit like a lute, amazing instrument!
I'm in love with Brandon. Sigh.
2003. Afghanistan. Just south of Khost. An orange dragon fly hovering over the canal running through our base. This song struck me with the Zen instant I can only reflect upon. Further down....
nice to see Brandon help the band out and play a damn instrument for a change
whitedevil2 the voice is an instrument
He plays guitar, bongos, and digeridoo on other songs
