Sennen is so fuckin' epic. Makes me so nostalgic for the early 90s
I visited Sennen the year this came out. Lovely beach but not as good as the song.
I used to say in my golden years that this EP was the best record ever released on the face of earth, shadowing beatles smiths velvet underground and whatever etc., most to irritate my indie friends, but i genuinely really loved these songs and played them on repeat for hours.. till this day i feel there's something powerful, intense and naive at the same time in these Ride Sogs. But of course you can say maybe it's pure nostalgia from my late-teen years
Of all the bands I met when I worked at KUCR Andy Bell of Ride was the one of the most humble and down to earth. John Squire and Many from the Stone Roses where right their with him!!

Me too!! I have them all signed by Andy when I interviewed him in May 1995 when working for KUCR . But nothing tops when I got to hang out with him and Ida at the Stone Roses concert at the Palladium May 25th 95. Even though I was with the Stone Roses that night at the Viper room after the gig along with Johnny Depp. Ride has always been my #1
The Stone Roses debut is my all time fave album. Never got to see them or meet them. I did see The Seahorses when they opened for blur in Portland in ‘97 or ‘98. It was a small ballroom type gig so I was right in front. blur were awesome and engaged. Damon was in the crowd, sweaty and shirtless arm in arm with us having a sing along. Sadly, John Squire never even deigned to look at us. He was so above being there he simply looked at his shoes, played his parts and walked off without a second glance. Sad.

I agree....growing up in the 90s this music was pinnacle.To listen it now really pulls on the heartstrings
it pulled on my heartstrings then too, for better and worse. but that's how shoegaze goes.

This is an incredible 4 track e.p. I can't wait to see them next week in S.F. and Hollywood. Spent half my vacation time this year just for these shows.

I DO believe Ride began their encore with Unfamiliar at the Metro Easter weekend 1991 on their double Bill with Lush and introduced the song as “Mad in Chicago” 😎🙃👾 quite an epic statement and I mainly came for Lush being SO unknowledgeable of Ride but I QUICKLY got into them that instant I saw them go into Dreams Burn Down upon entering the Metro...
Great memories.What a double bill you went to.Seen Ride twice but got into Lush too late even for their comeback.

This is so beautiful. It has the same style as Nowhere, but a bit spacier. Even though it was released halfway between Nowhere and Going Blank Again, it definitely still has their early sound. Nevermind, which greatly influenced Going Blank Again, had not blown up yet.
