These guys began developing this version of the game in like 2013-2014. It'll never be a great game but they do still update the game. The covid era they've been putting stuff out slower than normal but it's always small stuff
I like the way it looks, and the double ring with the War Games match as well as the Triple Cage WCW had in the movie Ready To Rumble, that really was never used before, not even in WCW Mayhem back in 1999 on PS1.

I just bought the game and I have a question. Where do I find the ring textures and CAW texturs to edit on my PC. I've seen videos of the ring being moded with custom logos and this is important for me as I like to create wrestlers and arenas. Help please. I have searched the folder and all I see is the crowd texture and curtain textures but not the arena nor CAW. Is there a folder I need to download?

There is no game. There are some figures and basic animations. This scan has been going on since the early 2000's. They have kickstarters, early releases, patreons - no game ever comes.
This game has basically been in development hell since I was still in high school. It took like 6+ years to get a prototype build called Uprising released...and that was 2011. It has been in Steam Early Access since 2014. Any time a new game engine comes they tend to scrap EVERYTHING and rebuild in the new engine halting progress even further. When it came onto Steam it was $10, and now it was reduced to $1. Just reading the Early Access questionnaire on the store page is VERY telling with such gems as: "Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access? “Pro Wrestling X is as much a platform as it is an actual game; as such, we'll always be in on-going development. We'll continue to tweak, break, add new features, perfect old ones for quite some time. So the line between "Early Access" and "Final" is a bit blurred. In fact, there likely is no "Final". With that said, we've laid out a "Roadmap to 1.0" feature list in our long description. Once we complete that list, we'll transition away from Early Access. We're hopeful this is a 3-4 month timeline.” How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version? “We have a short-term goal of reaching the Roadmap to 1.0 feature set. Beyond that, the sky's the limit. With the help of our fans, Pro Wrestling X in October 2015 will certainly be a very different game from where it is today. From humble beginnings...”" you can see that there is little to know effective time management. This game is still, essential, in pre-Alpha. Honestly, PWX could be used as a case study in any software development course on the dangers of scope creep. There should be less time spent on adding "more, more, and more" and instead refining what's there and focusing on core gameplay mechanics. We don't **need** to add cage on cage on cage or War Games. We need a core wrestling game after over a decade of this being in the nightly build phase of development.
@@fjccommish I'd agree that the charging of it and the slow updates and the pricing changes and getting grant money to make it and crowdfunding it but never delivering almost a decade after the Kickstarter and, well, anything involving the marketing of the game is absolutely a scam, the core problem with development is definitely scope creep and the ship being run by a guy with no knowledge of how to make a game and even less project management knowledge.
All loyal original supporters still get every update as promised. Patrons get an early sneak peek. The real slap in the face to loyal supporters was taking too long to make hard decisions that will keep progress rolling and updates rolling out again. We should have done this a year ago but it was scary as hell to pull the trigger. Loyal supporters want to see the game get bigger and better. This is already doing that. Hope we change your mind about this decision and very sorry for not communicating the reasoning behind it more clearly. That's on us :)
