My DVD player motor is the same size, but it's sealed. And there are just 2 wires coming out of it (no PCB board). Could it be a normal DC motor? If so, how can I connect the ESC?
It varies by.motor, but sometimes there's a retention mechanism of some sort that you need to remove. I've had to grind away the sealed hub from the opposite side to reveal a retaining ring inside attached to the shaft.
Depending on the model of CD ROM and using the stock coil winding and magnet ring, about 6-8 oz of thrust using a 5x4 prop and 3 lipo cells. You can spin a bigger prop and get more thrust by replacing the magnet ring with neodymium magnets and rewinding the coils.

Thank you Mr Keskin for your reply. I take it the maximum voltage for the motor is 12 and for the esc it is 7.4. If my powerpack is a 12 volt pack will i damage the esc and the servo tester if i turn the set up with 12 volts? Hopefully looking forward to your reply.
