In this video, I want to show a useful feature of engines from sidiroms. Since there are hall sensors on board such engines, we can use it as an incremental encoder. The result is a non-contact encoder, which has no contact bounce, no backlash, which greatly increases reliability. I would even say that it turns out an eternal encoder. Encoders operating on this principle exist in nature, but they are very expensive, while from such an engine it can be made for a penny. Buying cidir at a flea market costs 100 rubles, or you can even get it for free. By the way, by supplying power to the stator coils, you can slow down the rotor, in which case the rotor will rotate in steps.

I really like this idea as I have a bunch of these motors too. It's a little hard to follow your video without a schematic, but I've been able to find some additional info on other sites/videos. The hall sensors share a common power lead (which may require a current limiting resistor) and a common ground lead. The remaining pins are signal + and signal - which go to the comparators. I think since any two hall sensors are out of phase, you are able to produce a quadrature signal, however the waveforms overlap at 1/3 and 2/3 not 1/2 as in true quadrature so your steps are not always equal. You suggest powering the coils in order to produce a magnetic "detent" which is also a good idea, I assume one coil pair would always remain energized.
Boa tarde porfavor coloque o diagrama dessa fonte sua obrigado.
Shtoo Pid 👍
I think he wasted brushless motor😅
nothing like that, it turned out to be a cool encoder
