God this hits different when you're homeless, trying to study for a masters and ineligible for council housing despite being disabled with a debilitating chronic illness only a few people online claim to have recovered from. Keep fighting everyone, never lose hope, we got this. X
This album, especially this track, was so ahead of its time. It was so experimental and had beautiful and poetic lyrics, deep themes, different and atmospheric instrumentals. This band really wanted to put out something new. Personally I've always loved it, but it has always been so underrated
I agree. I got into them in 4th grade, a year before this album was released. Wasn't allowed on RUclips as a kid so I used Pandora for all my music. Hybrid Theory and Meteora were my favorites. When this came out I did not like it at all. 7 years later i started to really appreciate it. Too ahead of its time is a total understatement. Though could also be argued it fit the growing electronic music scene in the early 2010s, but we won't talk about that 😉
I remember when this came out, people were saying "Woah, this is too far. Bring back the old LP". Now that the new stuff is out, they're looking at this saying "This is classic, bring back the old LP!". Is there a lesson here?
In 2037, people will remember "Heavy" because it almost feels like Chester was calling for help, and we missed it. It's sad, but yes you're right. People jump on the "sellout" bandwagon way too quick every time
I loved all theirs songs, some more some less. A band is developing and changing, it's like life who is always and up and down. A true fan understand that and does not harrass and hate. I was shocked how good it is when I first listened to it. Every song doesn't look like much when you first listen to them, but they stick with you, and when you listen to them a couple of times, you realize why - because they are fucking awesome
My son is 6 and always asks my Google Home Mini to play Linkin Park. The only reason I bring that up is we can all love them for what we hear and not worry about what we know. We've all said our RIP and all, now it should be time to get back to loving LP for who they are the the legacy they built.
its a straight hit in your heart learning that the person who helped you battle with depression and all those kinds of shit i was going through as a teenager took his very own life...A person who had such a unique voice and artistry,a person who through his music could change your perspective in life....Didnt he have anyone to save him from this misery we all feel?I had Chester and a hell of other heroes to battle these shit didnt Chester have somebody to rely on?was he all alone in the end :'( ?my heart is rlly broken atm

I guess Chris Cornell's death hit him tremendously hard and unable to find a reliable friend, with whom he can get help fight his depression, led him to decide this tragic outcome. He will continue to remain a legend in many hearts forever.

Don't know why. This was one of my favourites. But im a little biased there aren't many Linkin Park songs I didn't like. Sad thing is they got me through (and still do) the toughest times of my life. I never understood why people didn't like Linkin Park
Linkin park was literally at the top when they released their first two albums. And thats what happens when you're the greatest..everybody expects you to do the same thing over and over again just because they liked the first..people cant understand that when we're talking about music this cant happen (especially when you are making music for 18 years straight like Linkin Park did) So dont hate on them for changing their style, because they evolved they got more mature and i personally like it that way..so please end the hate and lets all appreciate that we managed to exist the same time with this awesome band
They didn't really change their style. There's still the same lack of emotional tether (whatever you call it) that they sing from. You can hear it and feel it. Knowing what Chester was suffering from, it all makes sense. That was the fuel for his inspiration, and it radiates in his music.
We're same voice mate. They didn't change, they just did what they want and they growing up by time... Tbh, I'm dancing when first time watch the MV and listen this song...
I have this as a Top 10 album of all time... its one of my Dark Side of the Moons as its to play from song 1 all the way through to the end and it just flows perfectly. Their creative juices really blossomed here and to me they showed their real talent as artists here. Love this album for so many reasons!
It took me months after his passing to be able to listen to their music again. Just painful to be reminded that Chester and perhaps others we lost wont be back. "Lift me up, let me go."
After learning that Rick Rubin helped produce this album, I couldn’t help but smile because I believe that big production at the end with the “lift me up… let me go” all the way to the end was Rubin’s brilliant contribution to this already amazing song.
Had a linkin park kinda day. It kinda calms you down when you hear your favorite singer crying into the mike at the top of his lungs. That feeling's as close to home as it comes.
I've read some comments where people were saying "I wish I could have saved Chester" and "I wish I could give my life in exchange for Chester" I do not think he would want us thinking or saying that shit. I believe the best way to honor Chester Bennington is to look for that person who may be a classmate, coworker, etc who may be feeling low like his or her world is at an end, or target for bullies. Invite that person for coffee or a beer, hang out after work/school and talk to them. A simple gesture like that can boost a person's self esteem really quick. The second, do not live to make other people happy and expect them to return the favor because you can "try so hard and get (I know he says 'got')so far, but in the end it doesn't even matter". Only you can make you happy and enjoy life. The third never think the bad times in life will never end, it will pass, these times are what will make you mature and wiser. I believe this is the best way that we can honor this Legend known as Chester Bennington. Now turn up those speakers and listen to some of the greatest music of our generation!!!!🤘🤘🤘
Chaney McInnis Only when forgotten do we truly die, but may we be immortalized in the thoughts of those we leave behind. There are those of us who do not wish to be immortalized...when we leave we do not wish for the same painful memories to constantly dredge our loved ones. Better to be forgotten and have others not bear the pain of loss, than to have our death painfully remembered. Sadly to touch ones heart is a double edged sword...to awaken the warmth of ones humanity and then having ones snuffed out along with their souls, turns that warmth into cold sorrow.
Bit eerie in here.. you sure you guys arent avoiding the fact that life is nothing but matter and processes? and that it has no significant meaning outside the realms of what we perceive in our minds? No matter how much you love or hate something, one day you and it will return to the source material as dust. And it cant be outfought, it cant be outdone, it cant be outmatched, it cant be outrun.
STILL AN AWE INSPIRING EPIC LINKIN PARK ♥❤💜💙💖 SONG...."GOD HELP US ...EVERYONE"...I FEEL HIS HEARTS 💕 CRY TOO...BEEN FEELING ALL THE LYRICS IN THIS SONG & VIDEO IS TRUELY BEYOND ORDINARY 💔...MISSING YOUR UNIQUE SINGING AND EXPRESSIVE WAYS...R.I.P....AND LORD BLESS AND KEEP THE REST OF US SAFE IN 🙏❤♥💙💜💕 YOUR ETERNAL LOVE....THANK YOU GOD FOR SHARING CHESTER WITH THIS 🌎 WORLD. 💘 LOVE&PRAYERS FOR ALL.

Maybe it's because you're young and get your politics from RUclips or the Internet, but seriously, look at the laws that the Senate and Congress have passed in the last 10 years. They're eroding our freedoms for the sake of more centralized control. There's no way out of this "hamster wheel", because there's too much money in keeping our current system in place. Sorry to burst your bubble, but to quote George Orwell, the future is just a boot stamping on a human face, forever.
Like prophecy put to music
For me, I thought of this song after watching the Genosha Genocide in X-Men '97.
That 3 part vocal round at the end NEVER ceases to give me goose bumps all these years later.
R.i.p Chester we'll all miss you❤️❤️
Bennington Will never die no time to die for him he Will live untill his songs Will exist

Ya right

Zack Weston it felt so unbelievable that he's passed on. I still can't believe he's not with us physically.😭😩😥
linkin park... whatever my music taste can change into over time, there will always be space for these guys in our hearts
.
Shinoda and Chester singing together really was perfection 💔
2024 Still proud to be a loyal fan of LP .. R.I.P Chester 😭😭
It makes me sad that people never understood what a piece of art this album is, but they couldn't see past their anger of them being "different" and missed out on a truly beautiful piece of music. To this day still my favorite album.
It is also my favorite album. I bought the cd instantly when it came out and i have listen to it like 100 of times...
Spielberg Same. A Thousand Suns is my favourite album of all time.
might be wierd but minutes to midnight , hunting party and thousand suns are my top 3 LP albums
Spielberg it’s an awesome album
I was shocked how good it is when I first listened to it. Every song doesn't look like much when you first listen to them, but they stick with you, and when you listen to them a couple of times, you realize why - because they are fucking awesome
When Chester screams “lift me up” when the beat kicks back in, I feel it in my soul
We lost a beautiful person when we lost him
❤
My son is 6 and always asks my Google Home Mini to play Linkin Park. The only reason I bring that up is we can all love them for what we hear and not worry about what we know. We've all said our RIP and all, now it should be time to get back to loving LP for who they are the the legacy they built.
Thank you I have been sad and missing him for so long
@@michellecottrell3553 I also missed her son
What happens if your son ignores Linkin Park and starts listening much better and heavier bands?
Totally agree
@Daniel Wilson So do you tell me one reason Linkin Park is the best band?
You may disagree but this is the best song of Linkin Park.
I agree
it’s up there
Its your taste,i respect that
One of their best yes
I forgot how much I love Linkin Park.
ikr I didnt listen to linkin park for like 3 years and now Im loving all their songs again
I feel the same guys
I never forgot. I still listen to all their music weekly!
I've also recently taken a huge liking to Linkin Park. Will probably go buy a few more CDs of theirs!
Brancake lol
After Chester's gone, these songs gives us a different feeling...
I want this song to play at my funeral...
I agree. It's only after someone is gone do we truly appreciate the legacy that they have left behind
DummyNo.1 now we hear how he really felt
DummyNo.1 prophets never die
DummyNo.1 feeling and meaning, yes
R.I.P the legend
Shivers, then. Shivers, tears, love, reverence and every other emotion under the sun now. Thank you, LP. RIP Chester ❤
its a straight hit in your heart learning that the person who helped you battle with depression and all those kinds of shit i was going through as a teenager took his very own life...A person who had such a unique voice and artistry,a person who through his music could change your perspective in life....Didnt he have anyone to save him from this misery we all feel?I had Chester and a hell of other heroes to battle these shit didnt Chester have somebody to rely on?was he all alone in the end :'( ?my heart is rlly broken atm
StarchaserArya couldnt have said it any better
StarchaserArya this

spaceshart i hope that you stay alive. You can beat depression but if you need someone you got me if you don't mind am really religious. May God forgive Chester but deep down inside God would let Chester in heaven and Chester would meet his old friend Chris Cornell. Rest in Piece. 🙏
I guess Chris Cornell's death hit him tremendously hard and unable to find a reliable friend, with whom he can get help fight his depression, led him to decide this tragic outcome. He will continue to remain a legend in many hearts forever.
Congratz Chester, the first person I know who can sing under-water.
he can sing to me anytime underwater or anywhere 😉😍😂
but and the spongebob?hahahahahahahahaha
Hahahaha

I'm an old Man but still a Linkin Park Fan from the beginning. This is just one of their best Songs ever produced. Chester Bennington was one of the best Rock-Singers of all Times.
nine fucking months today and it still hurts like hell. you're missed chester. thank you so much for everything.
lara i just said that on another song. Sucks bad
he was telling us to let him go.. Maybe it's time we let him go. we all have to take our journey one day. R. I. P Chester May at last huh☮️
And now it's been a year
Time has flown by so fast without him, he was gone the day after my birthday which is my brothers birthday 7/20. He is truly missed.

Well he didn't die like a legend because, he hung himself, but yes he did sing like and angel and scream like a demon.
He is a legend not by death but by his spirit and contribution to the world & the impression he has made in millions of lives ....death is a transition .he still lives
not like a legend,he already be
He is not like a legend, he is a legend
Im just gonna listen to linkin park for the next year.
Just one year? There's not a month that goes by when I don't listen to an LP song
@immortalxd6190 no no you dont understand. I mean im ONLY going to listen to linkin park for a full year. Nothing else. Been a fan of LP since i was a kid. This year has sucked. So im going to ignore all news in favor of only linkin park. Never gonna stop listening to them tho lol.
This song gets better over time. 10 years and counting.
True true
Yep
Wow

A lot of people hated this album as they did with One More Light, but they do get better over time. Especially this song & Blackout.
Linkin Park is really timeless. There song gets even better as the years go by. It's like they made there song for the future.
BROOOOOOO LOL SO FREAKING TRUE omg their music is THE FREAKING BEST
They were ahead of their time by a longshot, it's why they blew up so fast and left a lasting mark upon us all.

I dont believe chester is in hell. I believe he is in heaven because he is too nice and he has had a bad life. I miss you chester :(. Rest in peace my friend.
I know a lot of people prefer earlier albums, but A Thousand Suns is a fucking masterpiece.
I liked a few songs including this one but overall I felt like they were trying to be too unique just for the sake of being unique y’know? Same goes for Hunting Party. Living Things was great & underrated though
This is my favorite LP album. I own them all.
They have gems from every album and they stand the test of time 🙏🤘🤘
You should see my Linkin Park playlist
Yes,indeed
After watching Zero today I had to come see the original version. Still powerful, still makes me start singing whether I am ready or not.

Don't know why. This was one of my favourites. But im a little biased there aren't many Linkin Park songs I didn't like. Sad thing is they got me through (and still do) the toughest times of my life. I never understood why people didn't like Linkin Park
A lot of it was hate that oozed off of the Transformers movies and ended up splashing onto the soundtrack
108 bilions of people lived in this planet and you are so lucky to lived in the same time of Chester Bennington

Christopher Abbod amen dude
Oof I’ve been only listening to Linkin Park lately, not watching the videos but just SEEING Chester’s face made my eyes tear up. 😢
Linkin park was literally at the top when they released their first two albums. And thats what happens when you're the greatest..everybody expects you to do the same thing over and over again just because they liked the first..people cant understand that when we're talking about music this cant happen (especially when you are making music for 18 years straight like Linkin Park did)
So dont hate on them for changing their style, because they evolved they got more mature and i personally like it that way..so please end the hate and lets all appreciate that we managed to exist the same time with this awesome band
Cyber Design yes, this.
Well written.
Well said man.
Two years... may the echo of his voice be heared for ever.
True artists never die so let’s all keep his spirit alive in our hearts
May it be as you say! :-)

@@nicksboi this album is one of the most underrated albums of the past decade.
It got a lot of hate when it first came out
Even with their popularity, I believe the group is underrated.
I have this as a Top 10 album of all time... its one of my Dark Side of the Moons as its to play from song 1 all the way through to the end and it just flows perfectly. Their creative juices really blossomed here and to me they showed their real talent as artists here. Love this album for so many reasons!
The most underrated LinkedIn Park song in history. It's criminal how underrated this song and album are.

R.I.P CHESTER! YOU WERE THE CATALYST IN MY LIFE :(
He made your life faster?
It took me months after his passing to be able to listen to their music again. Just painful to be reminded that Chester and perhaps others we lost wont be back. "Lift me up, let me go."
After learning that Rick Rubin helped produce this album, I couldn’t help but smile because I believe that big production at the end with the “lift me up… let me go” all the way to the end was Rubin’s brilliant contribution to this already amazing song.
Had a linkin park kinda day. It kinda calms you down when you hear your favorite singer crying into the mike at the top of his lungs. That feeling's as close to home as it comes.
A thousand times better than today’s videos. The meaning is also amazing. This video deserves billion views.
Like all of their songs

Me too but i also listening to the songs cause i felt in love with this music
I've read some comments where people were saying "I wish I could have saved Chester" and "I wish I could give my life in exchange for Chester"
I do not think he would want us thinking or saying that shit.
Derrick Z well said! Thanks for this, I will try my best.
Legends never die, they are Immortals.
No such thing as immortal. We all die. Just a matter of when.
The secret is death is part of life.
I was 6/7 months old when this album released. I am so thankful for my dad and that he showed me Linkin Park
