Well the irony is, Originally the RSS was founded to Unite Hindu (Hinduism), but its ideology has completely changed. If you look at people from various castes in India, you don't need to be a genius to understand that caste system is racist!! Apart from a few exceptions here and there it is very evident that high and low castes are racially divided, this is more evident in southern India which shows that some people as they moved south into Indian subcontinent stratified darker skinned tribes into lower castes. This is very easy to spot even for an untrained eye!!

I've only been to one shakha and believe my I wasn't given any special treatment for being a brahmin. One very old guy asked the surnames and other young guy who was an CA, interrupted by saying that We don't ask surnames in RSS. Then no body talked about surnames so I'm not sure if there was any Dalit or not. The main guy who came to give some sort of lecture gave equal opportunity to everyone. He talked about Battle of Haifa from 1st world war where Indians fought gallantly in Egypt. Then he talked about sustainable development because he was himself an engineer. He supported fee hike in JNU by questioning rationale of subsidising a university to such a large extent. He said, why you shouldn't you all have the same fee structure if JNU people are having it. Then he said it's because it's not feasible. He said you tweet about fee hikes from your smartphones which cost more than entire your yearly fee and then create ruckus when some student genuinely want to give exams. After that he asked how would you explain India's anti satellite weapon to any uneducated village guy. We gave answers and then he offered some explanation from which I wasn't impressed. But he didn't ask stuff like go n talk about it or promote what govt. has done. They offered us Cow Milk because Shakha was in a Gaushala. They told us how it is purely running on donations. It was a big Gaushala. The old guy who asked surname said he has survived heart attack thrice and still has cow ghee and he is all right. Their regulars in college would be highly respectful to everyone. They will make a point every major Hindu festival is organised in the university. They were active in other cultural programmes. Faculty members were also from RSS. While communists wore it on their sleeves, RSS people maintained a low profile. Though there is no politics in my campus , I knew people and their affiliations. RSS students remained away from politics also. Most of things they did were reactionary only. If communist did something, they would do something in retaliation otherwise they would mind their own business. When we were about to leave he said promise me next time I will get to see a large gathering than this. Somebody said many couldn't come because of exams. Then he said no problem. Studies are also important. First you do something for yourself then only you can do something for us except you want to become a full time pracharak like me. Then everybody laughed. He said RSS is like open book. Anybody can come and leave anytime. Then we parted.

I am from Ssvm which is RSS regulated school. We were taught all the sankrit slok, prayers and patriotic songs. I used to respect savarkar as a freedom fighter as others. Teachers were not actively teaches us against other religion but I remember there was no silent prayer for mother Teresa when she died. Once a teacher asked us to which party our parents are going to vote. I didn't have idea because my parents never told me. Everyone except 2-3 student said their family vote for BJP. I was too small to recognize the hate.

You can't really blame this guy for leaving RSS. If casteism and bigotry continues then BJP-RSS will meet the same fate that Congress has met after so many decades. I have been to RSS for past 10 years. I have never seen them telling us to hate anyone. I never heard the word "ARYAN" blood till now. I agree some RSS people might talk such but it is one of the world's largest voluntary organizations . Some people might talk out of the core ideology. but that doesn't make the organisation bad. RSS never promotes hate or violence. RSS is for self improvement first, because a country is its people. If every person becomes disciplined and better one at a time the entire country will becomes a better place.

If you look at people from various castes in India, you don't need to be a genius to understand that caste system is racist!! Apart from a few exceptions here and there it is very evident that high and low castes are racially divided, this is more evident in southern India which shows that some people as they moved south into Indian subcontinent stratified darker skinned tribes into lower castes. I've only been to one shakha and believe my I wasn't given any special treatment for being a brahmin. One very old guy asked the surnames and other young guy who was an CA, interrupted by saying that We don't ask surnames in RSS. Then no body talked about surnames so I'm not sure if there was any Dalit or not. The main guy who came to give some sort of lecture gave equal opportunity to everyone. He talked about Battle of Haifa from 1st world war where Indians fought gallantly in Egypt. Then he talked about sustainable development because he was himself an engineer. He supported fee hike in JNU by questioning rationale of subsidising a university to such a large extent. He said, why you shouldn't you all have the same fee structure if JNU people are having it. Then he said it's because it's not feasible. He said you tweet about fee hikes from your smartphones which cost more than entire your yearly fee and then create ruckus when some student genuinely want to give exams. After that he asked how would you explain India's anti satellite weapon to any uneducated village guy. We gave answers and then he offered some explanation from which I wasn't impressed. But he didn't ask stuff like go n talk about it or promote what govt. has done. They offered us Cow Milk because Shakha was in a Gaushala. They told us how it is purely running on donations. It was a big Gaushala. The old guy who asked surname said he has survived heart attack thrice and still has cow ghee and he is all right. Their regulars in college would be highly respectful to everyone. They will make a point every major Hindu festival is organised in the university. They were active in other cultural programmes. Faculty members were also from RSS. While communists wore it on their sleeves, RSS people maintained a low profile. Though there is no politics in my campus , I knew people and their affiliations. RSS students remained away from politics also. Most of things they did were reactionary only. If communist did something, they would do something in retaliation otherwise they would mind their own business. When we were about to leave he said promise me next time I will get to see a large gathering than this. Somebody said many couldn't come because of exams. Then he said no problem. Studies are also important. First you do something for yourself then only you can do something for us except you want to become a full time pracharak like me. Then everybody laughed. He said RSS is like open book. Anybody can come and leave anytime. Then we parted.

I am from Ssvm which is RSS regulated school. We were taught all the sankrit slok, prayers and patriotic songs. I used to respect savarkar as a freedom fighter as others. Teachers were not actively teaches us against other religion but I remember there was no silent prayer for mother Teresa when she died. Once a teacher asked us to which party our parents are going to vote. I didn't have idea because my parents never told me. Everyone except 2-3 student said their family vote for BJP. You can't really blame this guy for leaving RSS. If casteism and bigotry continues then BJP-RSS will meet the same fate that Congress has met after so many decades. Political opposition of Radical Islam and Christianity is justified but it has to be based on meeting certain objectives. It cannot be allowed to turn into racism and discrimination within Hinduism. All political opposition must be issue-based not based on blood-purity.

I have been to RSS for past 10 years. I have never seen them telling us to hate anyone. I never heard the word "ARYAN" blood till now. I agree some RSS people might talk such but it is one of the world's largest voluntary organizations . Some people might talk out of the core ideology. but that doesn't make the organisation bad. RSS never promotes hate or violence. RSS is for self improvement first, because a country is its people. If every person becomes disciplined and better one at a time the entire country will becomes a better place.
