Hopefully Kinder Surprise sees this and changes back the toys! I remember, as a kid, getting like 10 different pieces and loving having to figure out how to put it together. It's just like she says, it's all part of the fun and keeps kids busy and entertained for a bit!

Yes. The only thing that is better with the new toys is better quality plastic. The design is boring though. I also really think kinder missed an opportunity with the minions. The yellow plastic container IS practically a complete minion. Why not just have a couple of holes in that, and then put some arms, legs and other things inside, so you can make the container into a minion?!!
I had that same exact movie camera toy from the egg when I was a kid, it was the best! Stayed as a part of our legos-and-figurines plays for years. Also the wind-up rotors in the car toys were a find every time you got them.

I'm a 90s kid and I totally agree with you and Jed! The Kinder toys back then were a lot better. My little cousin still gets Kinder eggs sometimes, but I find the toys rather disappointing compared to what I used to get in them when I was a child. I think it has a lot to do with safety regulations for children though. More tiny parts are easier to swallow...
But you're not supposed to give a Kinder Surprise to a child under three years in the first place. The old "yolks" were also better for making "baking powder bombs", since they didn't have that weak point that the new ones have at the hinge.
@@ragnkja oh I did those too! we used to try to balance the force of the explosion so it wouldn't pop on it's own and then leave it on the sidewalk. Then we hid and waited for someone to kick it or sth and then it exploded! great fun
I definitely prefer the old toys! I have so many memories of my family getting kinder eggs as a treat and sitting around the living room and making the toys inside and comparing them, and while I am glad kinder eggs are still around the toys aren't really that fun any more. Part of the joy and fun about the kinder egg was the challenge of putting the toy together and it's just not there anymore.

Wow!! That video summarize my childhood!! I really like your ingenuity and that noting can stop you from making crasy sweet creations! Keep it up Ann!!
White chocolate isn't really chocolate. It was made and called that for people who have chocolate allergies since it's a form of coco butter....can you eat that? If not my condolences
your dignity I know your comment is 5 months old but hopefully you see this... I had a chocolate allergy for years and years but after I started eating a strictly plant-based diet (“vegan”) I discovered that I can eat vegan chocolate without any ill effects (that is, chocolate with no diary products in it). I mentioned this to my doctor and he said “most people who are allergic to chocolate are actually allergic to one of the other ingredients, often the milk.” So my anecdote isn’t medical advice, but you might (in consultation with your doctor) test and see if perhaps dairy-free chocolate is ok for you to eat.
OMG! Your kid is sooo cute! "safety first! Safety first!" We had a few old kinder toys until a couple of years ago when my father lost when he moved... We had the complete collection of gnomes, a couple of tigers and some others... They were one piece toys, and Idk the material, but it feels like ceramic or something hard and glass-y... Oh I loved kinder eggs! We didn't have much money so we weren't used to have a lot of dessert/candy/stuff like that, non essencial, but the eggs weren't that expensive and was always fun to guess whatwas inside! (now they cost around R$8-10, super expensive for what they are and the toulys aren't so nice)
Wow! You are just so creative. I loved the little minion movie of the minion climbing into the bowl and eating the chocolate.. what an amazing little story to add to the video. For me it's the little things you do that make your videos so great. -like taking the time to get the shot of the Flintstones kinder egg video toy. The main video content is great but it's the little extras you throw in that I love the most!! Xx
It's sad that the toys have gotten so lame for the eggs. I remember the chocolate of these eggs being pretty nasty when I was a kid, but the interesting toys still made me want to get them.
GreenKoolaidGuy Plays, I don't think I ever had one in North America. I grew up in Germany, so I am not sure if the chocolate recipe was the same as for the North American market. I also haven't eaten a Kinder egg since the 90's, so I have no idea what the current ones taste like.
i know jed has grown up so fast but he is the most precious child. holy cow. It's so cool to see you and your awesome kids interact. SUCH a good mom :)
I was in Germany back in 2000. One of the sets in the eggs were these little tin figures from a medieval set - King, Queen, Knight, Monk, and a couple of others. I collected enough of them to make a chess set and painted the details with acrylics to have a white and a black set. Lost them in the move back to the states. I was so upset.
same. i remember getting so many of those figures, i had my little ponys, fairys, flower girl things and lots of other figures from kinder eggs lol. but over time it got more plain toys

I like the older ones better. They actually require the kids to use their mental capacity more in building and constructing since there were more pieces. It seems the newer ones are made for quick and easy usage instead of actually stimulating the brain or creative part of a child's mind.
Guerda Cadichon Actually, a lot of it was complaints about the small pieces being a choking hazard... They also figured it might be more fun if the kids didn't have to spend time putting pieces together (which I always found was most of the fun anyways)

Wow!! That video summarize my childhood!! I really like your ingenuity and that noting can stop you from making crasy sweet creations! Keep it up Ann!!
HI Christian the old surprise eggs were so good
How To Cook That yeah I knoww, I was lucky to be one of the 90s kids that could enjoy the old good days
*crazy
i was halfway through the video before remembering
im allergic to chocolate...
My condolences
your dignity omg..I’m so sorry...I didn’t know that was a thing.... D:
White chocolate isn't really chocolate. It was made and called that for people who have chocolate allergies since it's a form of coco butter....can you eat that? If not my condolences
your dignity I know your comment is 5 months old but hopefully you see this... I had a chocolate allergy for years and years but after I started eating a strictly plant-based diet (“vegan”) I discovered that I can eat vegan chocolate without any ill effects (that is, chocolate with no diary products in it). I mentioned this to my doctor and he said “most people who are allergic to chocolate are actually allergic to one of the other ingredients, often the milk.” So my anecdote isn’t medical advice, but you might (in consultation with your doctor) test and see if perhaps dairy-free chocolate is ok for you to eat.
now, due to your profile picture i will assume that you are a doggo. yes, dogggo's can't eat chocolate, i mean, they can, but it isn't good for them
OMG! Your kid is sooo cute! "safety first! Safety first!"
We had a few old kinder toys until a couple of years ago when my father lost when he moved...
7:14 my mom would’ve yelled at me and make me clean up the whole house if I did that
Me too
But it's still hilarious
Me too😂
Mine too.
Omg I was thinking the same 😂😂
WOWEEEEEE! Those old kinder surprises are so much better than today's ones Ann!!
I agree, thanks for watching every week chew bacca 😀
That is amazing, nice done! 👏 And I actualy remember I had that pink car when I was little. 😀 I loved this old toys so much! 💜
Proof that moms can do anything.
Xx
Ah I really miss my childhood when kinder surprise eggs and McDonald's kid meals had really good toys now 😢 what a wonderful video! 💘
I love the old ones. The camera was so adorable
It's sad that the toys have gotten so lame for the eggs. I remember the chocolate of these eggs being pretty nasty when I was a kid, but the interesting toys still made me want to get them.
Here better in canada
it's only two toys that doesn't necessarily mean that the old toys are better in general.
GreenKoolaidGuy Plays, I don't think I ever had one in North America. I grew up in Germany, so I am not sure if the chocolate recipe was the same as for the North American market. I also haven't eaten a Kinder egg since the 90's, so I have no idea what the current ones taste like.
GreenKoolaidGuy Plays No, no they are not
In south korea the toys inside are pretty cool
Such a lovely bit of video opening Kinder eggs.
On a side note. Love the teal nail varnish.
I wasn't expecting to recognize any of the toys, but I actually did have one of those pink cars when I was a child.
Hey Ann!
I'm Kia from Germany. You inspire me SO SO MUCH. I hope that you had a great week ☺️❤️
hi Kia g'day from Australia
Kia Potato
The part with your son in the tiny kitchen was the cutest!!
Jed is such a cutie pie! U r Very lucky to have such a cute one!!!!!!!!!😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
i know jed has grown up so fast but he is the most precious child. holy cow. It's so cool to see you and your awesome kids interact. SUCH a good mom :)
I remember a time when there were little tin figures in the eggs. Ok that sounds like I was born in the middle age...
ohgosh frogs and hippos
I was in Germany back in 2000. One of the sets in the eggs were these little tin figures from a medieval set - King, Queen, Knight, Monk, and a couple of others. I collected enough of them to make a chess set and painted the details with acrylics to have a white and a black set. Lost them in the move back to the states. I was so upset.
same. i remember getting so many of those figures, i had my little ponys, fairys, flower girl things and lots of other figures from kinder eggs lol. but over time it got more plain toys
I remember always wanting the frogs - they were peak ‘collectible’
Ooooh i remember the penguines (my favorite was the flapper dress one), dinos, hippos and crocodiles!
20 years old toys are slayin:-P
That was really awesome ann
That’s so cool!!!
I love the idea to open old kinder!! I loved to see the little toys from my childhood. The toys back then where better!! 💖
Here I am in the year 2021, finding this video and grinning from ear to ear, heart all full of warm fuzzies.... Thank you Ann Reardon for being who you are, for all the wonderful things and positive energy you generously share with the world, for showing what a loving wife and mother looks like, for the incredibly hard work behind the scenes. I appreciate you so much and I'm so glad I found you! You have given me hours of joy during a difficult time.
I like the older ones better. They actually require the kids to use their mental capacity more in building and constructing since there were more pieces. It seems the newer ones are made for quick and easy usage instead of actually stimulating the brain or creative part of a child's mind.
yes they were very cool in the old days 😀
Compass
I love the old toys better and I expessially love the camera with the flint stones
The old ones make me think, the new ones make me feel dumb.
Coolest mother of the year award goes to....
ANNE REARDON!!!
My god this absolutely melted my heart ❤️
this is SO MUCH Fun ... well done Jedd & Ann!
Yay quality content. Thanks ann ♥️
BlueFire255 lmao
Not really pretty shity actually
I definitely prefer the 20 year old kinder eggs to the new ones!! And that mouse Anne got! Lol 😂😂
*Ann*
Haha, I found that exact pink car in one of the Kinder Eggs when I was a kid! I feel so nostalgic now.
96', 5 y.o me would have loved that "kindy" surprised. P.s cool mum award goes to you 😂
What a sweet kid!
I just love his sense of humor, as well as that he recognizes “safety first”!
Fun video!
How!! You are too good Ann,☺
Learning both how to cook and how to mom 🥰 how adorable! And i too like the old toys better 😄
I remember having the same pink car as a kid! Wow that brought back some great memories as a kid! :)
I feel so olddd I used to buy those every day and the surprises were amazing, but now you don’t even have to build them, they’re already made...
The older toys were better because now a days is mostly technology
Guerda Cadichon Actually, a lot of it was complaints about the small pieces being a choking hazard... They also figured it might be more fun if the kids didn't have to spend time putting pieces together (which I always found was most of the fun anyways)
Oh!!
Yeh is right
Guerda Cadichon yes
Yeah cuz minons are the most advance technology of the century
yeah:(
Jed is soo sweet!!😘
Wow!! Giant eggs!!! ❤️❤️👍👍
The older kinder eggs are better thank for sharing the amazing video :) 😁😄😃😊
