One more tip , I use for my pet photography, if they are moving normally I use fast stutter speed,BUT when they sleep heheboiiiii I use 40/50 shutter speed with a canon m50 with a 22mmf2 macro ,so I can get very near shot,the low shutter provide me lower iso :)

Use 3 point lighting to illuminate and separate your subject from the background. Personally I use a few 38” parabolic soft boxes and keep the background at least 6’ away
