Just got back into magic, made a red/white token deck. And seeing the tools green has gotten the last few years has me speechless. It's like a parody of itself
Once I have had to pay 12 and I knew it was coming I attacked with lethal to force him to use damnation then in response I Floted 9 mana from one of my creatures that was untapped then let it resolve tapped 3 then dropped him and won the game next turn

This makes me happy, back in M15 I ran a mono green devotion deck that absolutely stomped with mana flood and trample and such. Shit you not I had a heroes bane get up to 1024/1024 with trample in an actual FNM game...good times. This deck reminds me of that albeit not as crazy of a power ceiling as that deck had but it has some solid shit! A 10/10 for 5 is maaaaaasssive and with 5 green devotion I have to pick some of those up for that old deck. May be 3 years rotated out of standard but I love tweaking it and making it more powerful with time just for the hell of it. Good build.

Funny that you mention casting ghalta for the full 12. Two weeks ago at fnm I forced my buddy to cast his for the full price using a homebrew boros control deck. I just kept exiling all of his creatures and he hit a huge mana pocket.

2. You should do a rotation proof version of this deck
3. Walls are doing amazing.
4. Against control, I hard cast ghalta and won the game.

Bad Boy Gaming BTW I subbed Shalai in for Karn because I don't have any. Do you think that is good, or should I do a card draw spell like glimmer of genius?
I have casted Ghalta for its full 12 mana while he was my commander. I was unable to keep any creatures on the board because they were afraid of a 12/12 hitting the battlefield on turn 4 so i had to cast him turn 12.
Ok 2 questions:
1) if someone played a doom blade (for example) on your creature and you played blossoming defence, would it live?
2) can a card saying ‘decrease the casting cost of creature spells by 2️⃣, would that also decrease the cost of a card like gigantasauras, since it costs only forests?

2. No.
117.7a Effects that reduce a cost by an amount of generic mana affect only the generic mana component of that cost. They can’t affect the colored or colorless mana components of that cost.

Needs more Flying or Reach, built a similar with some Voracious Hydra and Sifter Wurm and got beaten by my 8yo with my Black/Green Deck… 🤣😂🤣

Garruks packleader would be serious gas in this deck plus im shocked not to see a rancor or 2.
i really wanna hear about someone spending anything more than 4 for Ghalta. 3-4 should be the absolute most. In my dino deck, i only spend 2 with the occasional 3 and rarely 4
Hear ya on 4mana 4/5...20 years sober from magic, one month in....used to be shivan dragon, serra angel, mahamoti djinnn....thought I was exotic with juzam djinn dark ritual...
I figure Only thing can counter steel leaf is ball lightning turn wise, but then that 10/10 for 5 gets ya next turn
I would play a full control deck against this, because I want to see Grunn, Gigantosaurus and Goreclaw spells be countered ^^

Perhaps drop a sword for another lifecrafter's Beastie boy. Extra card draw never hurts. Love your videos, keep up the awesome work.
I would run some territorial allosaurus due to its only 2gg for a 5/5, and maybe 3 gore claw due to his defense is only 3 cause a stupid lightning strike will take it out no problem, but otherwise great deck with or with out the changes

This seems like a great deck, but there is nothing in here that can combat a flying deck. A single flying creature could wipe you out in just a couple of turns

Sideboards help though so you never know you would need artifact removal you don’t got any so don’t be neglecting that sir
