The laser comms testing is an INCREDIBLE advance in technology for the DSN. I didn't even realise we were this close to executing that tech vs the standard radio waves. The media should've picked up on your mission way more than it has!

I saw the article on Microsoft Start and the video link. I didn't know about this one. I guess Elon Musk's SpaceX will be interested in collaborating with you to mine this high value mineral or precious metals asteroid, because especially as it would be a profitable mission. It sounds like you have some very advanced new technology onboard the probe that should reveal all kinds of discoveries, and the flyby of Mars on its journey to the asteroid belt.

We need to move Psyche closer to the ground so that we have 2 satellites. Then you can study it to death:))

Maybe some day with some sort of nuclear rocket engine on it's surface, but it's orbit is mostly farther out than Mars, it would take a lot to bring it into Earth orbit. I think Psyche could be the ideal test run object for a manned Mars mission vehicle, given the lower Delta V requirements gives some margin for error, should something go wrong, assuming it's the same vehicle with the same amount of fuel it would need for Mars.
