- Is It all new 2023 Honda CRV Hybrid or an existing Toyota Rav4? I found an ultimate winner of the dynamic drive experience. In this video I drove 2023 Honda CRV Hybrid Sport (base) and compared it to the outgoing RAV4 hybrid that I had on my channel 6 months ago.

I text drove all the rav4 trim levels and compared it to this crv sports base hybrid. I cannot express how much more you actually get with the crv than you do with the rav4! I get that Toyota are reliable and run forever but in my case, spending $36k on rav4 I was only able to find used rav4 with mileage racking upwards of 30,000 (xle, xse, xle prem). The crv hybrid drives amazing I had to choose a brand new Honda over a well used rav4 any day!
Yep, I was also quite surprised how well new Honda CRV hybrid drives. They really improved the chassis in the new car, it’s a lot better compare to the previous gen. As far as RAV4 I think it’s a great crossover but it feels dated already. Toyota will be redesigning it soon. Also another issue I see at least here in California is that Toyota’s inventory shortage still there and some dealers try to sell cars over the sticker.
Yes, I agree that the new rav4 re-design will be coming soon! can't wait but for now I will go with the gorgeous crv. @@100miledrive
@@Rough-inevitable Getting new CRV would be a good choice. In fact after reviewing new CRV me and my wife almost bought one, just couldn't get a good deal, but I also didn't spend enough time negotiating. I think it's a fantastic car including it's new styling for exterior and retro looking clean interior.
I know that negotiating for a lower than msrp price is not easy at this time. These cars don't last long and but its possible if the car has been sitting for a little longer. What color choose would you choose?@@100miledrive
@@Rough-inevitable We wanted Night Pearl (blue). 1 local dealer here had 6 of them 2023 model year. They had them for few weeks and then 1 week they sold all of them. Quite honestly we don't need another car really, but we thought we could use CRV for lots of long trips as it's very comfy
I like your review style with a great actual comparison. Only missing thing was the comfort of the seat in details. Nonetheless, thanks!!
Thanks for the feedback. Will try to cover seats more as it’s important aspect of driving experience.
Got a foreign version (SE Asia) and I noticed the N American version is missing a few features, e.g. 360° view, full digital instruments, foglights, panoramic sunroof, to name a few. I guess Honda NA wants you to go Acura for those.
Oh wow this is good to know that there are CRVs that include all those features. It was sad to see in top Touring trim there was no 360 camera and no panoramic roof. I really like what Honda did specifically with Hybrid. It drives so much better that previous gen, to the point we are considering to get one. As for Acura I think they should add hybrid options, not sure if those exist in the Asian markets, but especially in California those sell very well.
I feel Honda's new style is a mix of Audi, BMW and a tiny bit of Volvo.
Hmm interesting. I would say Audi kind of. I mean I really fell in love with this new Honda CRV Hybrid. It is day and night compare to the previous gen. Driving dynamics are highly elevated in the new generation.
This vehicle hasn't got a CVT transmission! It's a E-CVT which is completely different!!
Could you do a comparison between Honda CRV Hybrid 2024 and Toyota Venza (Hybrid) 2023? As i check online, quite a number of reviewers favour Toyota Venza but what if i tell you that in countries like Thailand and soon in Malaysia, Toyota Venza (known as Harrier in these markets) come without Hybrid power train and with only 2.0 L naturally aspirated engine and roughly 25% more expensive than Honda CRV Hybrid. What would be your pick then?
Quite honestly I fell in love with new Honda CRV Hybrid for it’s driving dynamics. It feels way more solid than Toyota Rav4 Hybrid. Hybrid system looks more superior in Toyotas as they are able to make them more fuel efficient and faster of the line, but I would still prefer Honda CRV Hybrid. As for Venza I will see if I can get a hold of one, they are more rare in US compare to Rav4 especially to find one for rent.
I drove both. CrV is better
This is what I also found with the newest CRV Hybrid. Thanks for stopping by
@100miledrive I have the 2024 hybrid touring pearl black. Very nice
Great to know! I just placed an order for a 2024 sport hybrid L in the meteorite gray metallic! can't wait for it to arrive this month
@@Rough-inevitable congrats! Great car indeed
@@liberatski Nice, nice. Congrats. This new CRV really went level above compare to previous gen. Very pleased and quite impressed by it
How compare to BMW X3?
Basically driving dynamics of new Honda CRV were quite impressive where I would compare it to some Europeans. A car like BMW X3 30i or 30e would feel a bit more solid, sporty and agile and of course more luxurious in terms of quality materials. But new Honda CRV felt pretty good as well if you are considering a crossover at this price points.
Don't do a comparison wearing that hat. I just bought the last 2024 CRV hybrid at my dealer. The showroom was empty waiting for the 2025's.
Hi there. Not sure about your comment on the hat. As for the popularity of Honda CRV Hybrid - it is super popular and I highly recommend this car.
You get a much improved horn with the 2025.
Damn he is cute❤
oh thank you thank you
