    Thanks for sharing your walk with us Danni I’ve never spotted a bluet mushroom
    In my area it just keeps throwing up the same types of mushrooms tbh I’ve tried lots of different habitats aswell although I’ve picked tons of horse mushrooms which where delicious but have to be careful because growing amongst them is the yellow stainer 😮

      Aw thanks for watching and always commenting Matt it’s appreciated!!! Keep on your search, they will be lurking around somewhere up until the frosts hit. It can be disheartening when you are looking for something in particular though can’t it? 20 years and I’ve never found a true morel in its prime! 🥲

    I wish someone can explain why we cant just put it in the middle and let it be. The whole add an hour lose an hour gimmick irritates me twice a year!!!

      Good tip! My blewit buddy was very top heavy and kept rolling over, but she was fully mature and had already spread billions of spores 🙌🏾🫶🏾

    Can one safely learn to identify mushrooms from a good Id book?

    • @user-jh6cg2rx6n
      @user-jh6cg2rx6n 9 месяцев назад

      Good books yes ,but alot of mushrooms have 1 very similar which are dodgy... check spore print's for colour...

      If you're in the UK I would recommend Wild Food UK's channel and website for mushroom identification. I would always use multiple sources, including books.

    • @danniinthewild
      @danniinthewild  9 месяцев назад

      Yes of course! It was just books for me 20 years ago and now RUclips is such a great source of info, as @morzorkatvfm said, @WildFoodUK is an awesome channel for videos on particular species ID, as is @UKWildcrafts
      In terms of books id recommend any of the Collins guides, the river cottage mushrooms handbook by John wright and of course ‘mushrooms’ by Roger Phillips. Also James at @TotallyWildUK just sent me a copy of his new book which is awesome and includes some recipes too! As mentioned though do triple check resources to be certain 💚
