Thank you for posting. This is Jacob’s dad, flying runs in the family as his great grandfather was a pilot and ran the local airport as did his Uncle Sam after that but it’s been years since we’ve had anyone in the family flying the skies around here. It’s great that he is able to carry on a tradition, Thanks for teaching him!!
I absolutely LOVED this video! Reminded me of my first few flights... feels like ages ago, but you brought it back! Congrats to all the students! More people to share the sky with! :-)
I love watching Aviators taking their first flights. I can still hear Mike Brown's voice in my ear from my first few flights in Lake Wales almost three years back. I wish I had great drone footage like this to go along with my memory.
I am really impressed with this landing video instruction. I recently had a hard landing due to pulling my breaks at about 45-50' up about half way. When I got to 30' I was doing about 40 mph. That last 30' came up real fast and I crash landed without ever being able to finish the breaking flare! I lived and learned!
That was a excellent video and captured many views as if you were experiencing it from a student on that day. I found myself say "keep running", as the students took off for thr first time. Thanks Fletch. I will never get that out of my head. Awesome job to all!
I swear prop guards have gotten smaller since I looked at this sport some 3-4 years ago. I hope I can find awesome teachers like you guys over here in Oregon. Pickings look slim for teachers up here with mixed reviews.
You should emphasize that their hands should be up on takeoff until the glider is about ready to fly. I noticed a few of them were holding brakes trying to launch and it really hinders your takeoffs. It gets expensive when you get pulled over backwards and break props because the glider is always going to try to fall behind you. Good video!
what happens to the wing exactly when you full brake, (flare). how does the wing change shape? Does it just scoop more air from the back? does it pull the back of it down?
New students are typically pretty scared and WILL NOT be thinking for themselves. You can tell by how long it takes them to respond to your commands. You have give them direct orders that they MUST OBEY instantly. You kinda have to treat them like 3 year olds, and do not share anything with them that they don't need to know in that instant while in the air. It will only confuse them more. I loved your last statement. :)
There's a time and a place to debrief a student pilot. It's not when their in the air and want to critique the inflation/ launch. They should be focusing on the moment and what's going to happen next. Also critiquing shouldn't be done over the radio.

I absolutely love watching these new student first flights. I'm obsessed. Am I allowed to be obsessed? What a great experience this has been.

Fletch is the MVP at Aviator. I think I will have his voice in my head every time I fly lol.
Definitely like the RAW format. Exactly what new or interested pilots want to watch.
I was in the class just before this and this is exactly what it is like. Highly recommend Aviator and Fletch was a great instructor.
can i borrow 6 thousand bucks from u?
Makes me want to try the sport. Looks amazing.
We can make it happen for you!
Back Country is an awesome business! The guys and gals there are super qualified to do what they do and I know how much I appreciate them for that!!!
Ah, those early mornings on the field! Unforgettable experience. 😄
Love the just walking around filming what's going on thing. Congrats to the new pilots! Best sport ever!
Awesome video. Great training. Can't wait for warmer weather.

Come to us any time for some extra training on any area you'd like!
Absolutely brilliant video! Brought back so many memories of my training and put a big grin on my face. Well done to all.
Excellent video..I love seeing people 1st flights....It's hard to express the feeling you get the 1st time you run into the air :)

43:50 - Fletch speaking truths about life 😊
Thank you for posting this! I'm trying to organize training in Bend Oregon and I can't wait to get in the air!!
That first flight can be pretty nerve racking
Awesome instruction
I trained with one up aviation, but you guys come highly recommended for your reputation
One Up adventures
Awesome drone shots! Makes me happy to see the first flight reactions! Great job by the instructors and new pilots.
I love that Kenny Rodgers song you was singing
Just great instructors, really great job guys
The raw format is great. This is exactly what it feels like for the first flight!
Fletch! What a legend
Great video!!!😊😊😊In the beginning trailer of this video, what exactly was the cause of his falling down and wing collapse during landing?

We've trained many pilots from the PNW come escape the cold and join us this Winter!

I like watching the new people learning how to fly. What is the oldest person that you guys have trained?
81!
@@aviator I’ll bet he thought that it’s the best invention since toilet paper.
I so want to do this
Do you put Off Grids on all your student paramotors?
We do, yes.
I cant wait to be in the skys
What drone do you use for your air-to-air?
There are links in the description for all the gear we use :)
Pause at the 7:15 mark lol. We've all had that facial expression on our first flight! Well done everyone! :)
I wish that music wasn't so loud, I wanted to learn from the dialogue.
I wonder 43:25 if now that he has to do this sh*t by himself, if over the last few month's if he might be teaching other's.
thanks for a cool vid.
I'd like to do that😊

Thank you for your opinion on the way you choose to instruct your students.
I agree. It's the first flight, all focus shoud be what is happening now and what to do next. Save the other stuff for when they are on the ground.
Inst at 30 minutes would make me too nervous all the yelling and stammering doesnt help.
