hello. My name is Richard and I am writing to you from Spain. Since I was a child I have dreamed of practicing this sport and in the end I reached the age of 37, which is when I started practicing it. After going through school and taking my Paramotor initiation course here in Madrid, I am writing to thank you for the landing and takeoff videos you have made. In my case, I have always been good at takeoff from the beginning, while I had three horrible landings at the beginning with a big accident in one of them in which I almost put the integrity of my legs at risk. After watching your videos I understood the dynamics of flight during landing and the need to contain the energy until the end to take advantage of it and squeeze it out at the end. I wanted to thank you personally but the thousands of kilometers that separate you make it impossible. That's why I'm writing to you here. I hope that one day we can meet and fly together. A cordial greeting from Spain. 🇪🇸
One thing not mentioned, and I'm a noob, but what about hang point? Could it be the hang test was on slightly different equipment and the hang point might need a tweak?
great video I am a paramotor pilot. and came from when I was much younger "moto x" and back then for certain techniques they videoed the sections that can help with speed and position. just like the parts of the video shown here. when an instructor mentions how you could have improved not all the time does it sink. but watching yourself on a video will sink in far better.
Thanks for this in depth look at landings. As a pilot who is consistently inconsistent with my landings, reviewing this video several times will help focus on what to do...consistently.
This is the best "how to land paramotor" video I've seen. I'm a newbie pilot (70 yrs) who's last 20 landings are not on my legs... I'll certainly try to remember all your points the next times I attempt to land. Thx again so much for your comments on all the different landings you showed!
Great vid man. I have six flights and no good landings. All soft butt landings. Heading to Endless Foot Drag in a month to get this figured out. Thanks for the great tips
Thanks Micah for this well articulated video covering the fundamentals of paramotor landings, excellent training reference material. Big shout out for your little co-presenter 👍
Excellent video Micah, Emmett and Reese. First flight today was epic, biffed the landing a bit but your instruction and this video are outstanding. Loving the training. Thank you Aviator PPG!
Great video Micah and Aviator. Even as a trike pilot, I learned a lot by your in-depth video analysis of flaring. Focusing on hand levels is a good reminder on it's impact on glider control.
Beautiful video! done very well especially in video analysis. The videos do not teach but they certainly help to understand one's own mistakes by also using those of others ... I found "looking at the horizon" interesting ... I will recommend my friends to see it. Very helpful. Thank you
Thanks. My last landing bust my leg in 4 places so its nice to hear your advice and help me get over the worry for my first flight this weekend after the crash.
Hello from France ! Thanks for this video... After 2 years with a simple A wing i ve changed with a reflex one (paramania GTX) and as it s a faster one, your tips will bé very usefull
Great video, thanks so much for putting it together, and extra thanks for including the turtle. A a new pilot I like to see that even with things don't go perfect, don't panic, just do what your trained (in this case start reeling in that B-line). I Got an opportunity to practice that during kiting when a stronger gust hit me and started to drag me, grabbed that B-line and just reeled it in.
A HUGE THANK you! for this video and WONDERFUL EXPLANATION. It will help a lot of folks like me who are struggling to understand why landings are not always on our feet. SUPER!!! Need some input, I DO NOT remember the last few seconds of take-offs or landings, why? how do I keep my eyes open or totally in my senses? Having such videos will help a lot.
Hey Micah, thank you for this video. It's been a big help as a new paramotor pilot. I'm in the Tampa area (Okay, north part) and this is very helpful. Keep them coming! I'm hoping that one day I'll be able to come over to visit you guys and maybe fly with y'all.
@@aviator seriously tempting :) Australia has rigid laws though , don’t think it would transfer over though . You actually have to have a license to fly here unfortunately.
Great video, I’m very interested in flying. Just curious how much time and money your corse run. As I live in Maine I need to use some vacation time scheduled.
these guys seem like their coming in way slower than me. my phone says im going 23mph when landing, its been difficult for me to stick a landing so far. feel like im hauling ass. appreciate the videos definitely helps
How about a video that talks about brake line adjustment. Personally, I think my wing has about 6 inches of slack before brakes engage the trailing edge. What is the correct amount of slack??
How can you know when you are at 1m of the ground to kill the wing???? I can't apreciate if I am at 1 or 2 meters, so I usually kill the wing earlier or too late
I'm wondering why no paramotor manufacturer has supports off the bottom of the frame, so, on landing, people dont fall back and can use the support to hold the weight?
I broke my leg trying to land based on this school's instructions. They will say, "don't look at the ground" and "the runway is not lava". Both of those statements are lies as I didn't know when to flare because I wasn't looking at the ground, and I broke my leg on the runway.
You are supposed to look forward in order to be able to perceive height by watching the horizon. All instructors that I know of teach that method. Just because you are a clumsy turd doesn't mean this school is responsible.
i am absolutely baffled at why ANYONE, no matter what their experience level, would feel that having their ASS touch the ground FIRST is a good idea? Its like, did u forget that there is a motor on ur back???? Did u forget u HAVE LEGS??? it just completely makes me crazy. its like they are idk afraid of the ground or something. I cant figure it out. Its maddening to watch.
There are some early stages of learning in these examples. Active piloting is taught, but with newbie pilots the instructors are asking the students to not do anything with their hands around 40 feet. Lastly the baby’s are here because we’re a family. I do appreciate the comment and hope that we create enough baby-free content for you in some of our other films. Blue skies friend.
This is going in my PPG playlist.

We are grateful to be of help on your journey! Hope to fly with you someday Richard!
Awesome video Micah, felt like I was sitting in class again.
Cute little guy...he clearly gets that from Mom. Good video, Micah...thanks.
😂ouch
Yeah Micah! Nice to re-listen to this AND to meet your son! Great video and instruction as always by Aviator. (I see you in that video Bill!)
I've got over 150 flights in at this point and still found this useful. This is a seriously under-viewed channel.
Thank you for this!
Great video, Micah!
Micah!!! Micah is the man! awesome paramotor instructor and para-dad lol
Haha miss you Pablo! Congrats on the engagement my soon to be para dad 😉😉
Micah rocks. I miss him!
DJ!! ❤️
I have been looking for this type of video for a long time. Thank you !!
The definitive guide on the subject 👍
Fun & useful, thanks Micah! Hi Emmett!
Cheers Mark!
Loosen the shoulder straps a bit to lean forward. Great Tip! Very cool 👍😎👍

Thank you so much for taking the time to show us all some valuable tips and things to think about!!!🤙 (you said "loins", lol)
Thanks for this in depth look at landings. As a pilot who is consistently inconsistent with my landings, reviewing this video several times will help focus on what to do...consistently.
I’ve been flying for 4 years, and I learned so much from this! Cheers Aviator from your PPG UK comrade 🇬🇧
So grateful we could help!
Best video on the subject.

Excellent commentary Micah and Aviator on multiple landing scenarios.
Excellent tutorial with great real world examples at the end to backup the theory.... thanks
Great video. Grabbing a few key points to work on myself. Maybe I can remember some for the scenarios I haven't had yet.
great vid! six years flying and I always keep learning. please do somthing similar with trikes. thamks!!
This is a much needed video, good job. Please do a similar video on active piloting!
Thanks Micah for this well articulated video covering the fundamentals of paramotor landings, excellent training reference material. Big shout out for your little co-presenter 👍
More of these vids, please.
This was awesome, great job! Would love to see more of these after action, review videos…super helpful.
Excellent video Micah, Emmett and Reese. First flight today was epic, biffed the landing a bit but your instruction and this video are outstanding. Loving the training. Thank you Aviator PPG!
Great info Micah! I look forward to more of this style content. Can't wait to come down for classes! Hope you'll be around when I'm there.
Great reinforcement to bring back into focus the sequence I learned in school (at TFH) for a perfect landing. Thank you!!
Super useful and still entertaining video. Loved this one
Thank you for share something that's a good way to learn.
Great video, essential viewing for all pilots

Great video
Congratulations Micah! T-Rex Grandpa.
Another Amazing and useful video. Many thanks. 🙂
I am researching paramotoring. Nice video. Cute baby. The background music thankfully finally ended.

Great analysis. Good job.
Thank you so much for this excellent video
Nice video. Thank you!
Very informative. I'll save this video for when I start PPG training next summer. Thanks Micah!
Thanks. My last landing bust my leg in 4 places so its nice to hear your advice and help me get over the worry for my first flight this weekend after the crash.
Good Content, very nice
Would like to see some take-off video analyzing !
Stay tuned!
I watched this one first (take-offs) ruclips.net/video/biRXIpPfvOM/видео.html
That baby is just adorable!

Thank you! Watched it all and found it helpful.
Great video, much appreciated 🙏 please keep ‘em coming
Great Viedo, very helpfull for Beginners like me. Thanks a lot for this.
I'm glad you guys were able to laugh at the turtle guy. This will probably be me at training someday
The baby was the star 😊
Micah, just made the switch to trikes....your videos are awesome & helpful....any trike videos you might have?

We'd love to have you!
Thank you so much that was such invaluable information
Looking into getting into paramotoring next year .
Wish I was in America as your kind of instructor I would love to learn from .
Keeping it simple .
We have people come learn with us from all over the world. You would be most welcome!
@@aviator seriously tempting :)

great vid. great tutorial
Great vid lov these lessons
great lessons
I love the way you teach. Is there any chance you live by sf bay area?
We’re in Florida but have had many travel to us from the Bay Area for training!
Great video, I’m very interested in flying. Just curious how much time and money your corse run. As I live in Maine I need to use some vacation time scheduled.
Our classes are 10-14 days and currently cost $3,849
these guys seem like their coming in way slower than me. my phone says im going 23mph when landing, its been difficult for me to stick a landing so far. feel like im hauling ass. appreciate the videos definitely helps
Are you heavily loaded on your glider? The students are on a Mojo and more then likely lightly loaded.
How about a video that talks about brake line adjustment. Personally, I think my wing has about 6 inches of slack before brakes engage the trailing edge. What is the correct amount of slack??
Hi Does this work for Paraglider landing as well? I mean the phases after motor kill
Good to see was losing my touch on good landings. I realize now I had hands too far out from body and not always good downward pressure.
The moving camera made me wooozey.
How can you know when you are at 1m of the ground to kill the wing???? I can't apreciate if I am at 1 or 2 meters, so I usually kill the wing earlier or too late

Muito bom os vídeos sobre pouso, pena que não é em português kkk
Feel free to translate it!
i hope your baby gets alot of value out of this paramotoring lecture

You desperately need a babysitter.
babee doesn't approve landing downwind either.
Bangladesh
Those guys are not taught active piloting with all that oscillation going on. Who brings a whiny baby to a lecture?

Cute baby but very distracting.
Going to school next spring and man I'm afraid of looking like an idiot but I gotta start somewhere.
So, check your ego at the door is something we all preach around here. Good luck!😊
