As the proud owner of a b16 swapped 89 crx. I just installed coilovers and a traction bar last week. Replacing +10 year old KYB shocks and "classic" Skunk2 lowering sleeves. I keep the old parts on the shelf. I died a little inside watching the old suspension get trashed.

That car actually sounds really good in my opinion. Usually not a fan of how Honda 4 cylinders sound, more partial to Toyota's tunes, but I like this. Meaty, but not "raspy"
Not all hondas are rasp central 🤣 it's just for some reason people do like the rasp to different levels and they do cater with serious raspy exhausts on the market.
You're describing L and D series motors, this a B. They scream.
I'm 2zz swapping my mr2 and its going to sound almost like an e46 m3 with the headers and exhaust

B18c - JDM ITR motor
B18c1- GSR motor
B18c5 - USDM ITR motor
And uk itr motors are b18c4.
B18b is 3rd gen integra, 94-01 if i remember, b18a is the DA9 90-03 integra, to be a bit more specific about the LS

A CRX has been my dream car since I got my license more years ago then I care to admit. Adam reminds me of the 16 yr old version of myself that would throw out random Honda terms he heard other people using in forums. Can’t wait to see the final result. This is my new favorite build on the channel!
I'm pretty sure that when the mechanicals of the CRX are sorted (brakes and bushings mainly) you'll enjoy it even more if you take it to a track day. That honda really looks like a riot to drive! Loving that content, it's fresh and different :)

We used to "drift" fwd cars and I'd day dont let go of the gas when you yank the handbrake.You will need to countersteer a lil bit and the power pulls you back in line.Some of the most fun you'll have out of low powered fwd cars is sideways! Love the Honda build.

LZ on the Honda stuff is what I’m here for. The E36 and the CRX are my favorites. The B18 at full tilt tickles my brain just perfectly.
I'm a Honda and BMW guy as well, I feel like there's a lot of us out here for some reason. Whats up with that? Perhaps because old school beemers and honda's provided the best dollar/fun proposition throughout the 2010's?

CRX is the first car I ever learned to rip a burnout in. I'd love to see it fully restored and looking mean.
When I first started working on cars, I learned how light Honda's are too lol. Pulled a crv off the hoist and pretty much onto myself when tightening a rear lower shock bolt with a long ring spanner. Put the Honda on trays lol it'll drift like a crazy kart
JDM GSR b18c is a classic engine! So badass you started with this gem. I can tell everyone likes it already :)
The GSR should do 8400 RPM. You could also play around with lift off oversteer and a dab of left foot braking to initiate.
God I love Honda’s so much. So happy to see you finally own one. Even better that it’s a CRX. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for it
Really enjoying this series! Also a little tip to get your FWD to drift is pumping the Parking Brake over and over again, this reduces the chances of flat spotting AND get the rear to slip out how YOU want it to. Another huge tip for FWD and the CRX being so light, you can lift off oversteer before the turn to slide, always remember WHEN IN DOUBT, POWER IT OUT.

B18c1 is a usdm GSR. Anything crx specific is hard to get. EF stuff in general is difficult to get.

I actually did change my first set of coilovers on a Honda Prelude but I was 17 not 16! 🤣 Always love seeing the Prelude on the channel because that was my first car. Loving the crx content
Had an R32 for 6 years. Was my daily for most of that time. Absolutely loved it.

Adam is a highly talented driver.
Something that will help him in the quest to drift a fwd car is this: before corner entry stab the brake pedal. This will unload the rear end and aid in rotation

B18c is jdm gsr (Honda integra SIR-G) b18c1 is usdm Acura integra gsr, c3/4 are other continents variants, b18c5 is Type R.

B18C1 is a usdm GSR with 170bhp I mean it's not a jdm type r engine but it is the next best B18 and is a great engine platform and in a CRX it makes for a great little ripper for grip racing and backroads

Adam hope you see this, because there is a filter on the pcv valve on the valve cover I would suggest taking the black box off the back of the motor and putting a breather on it, will help a lot with any future blow by issues if you wanna ride limiter 😘

I have never owned a Honda, but have had friends from the past that had em and kinda blew my mind near 2007 on how cool Hondas could be.
They are fun cars and maybe used to be cheap to tinker around with them.
It's the same idea with a Miata, they are not that fast, but with the weight/hp ratio is different.
I have always wanted a Del Sol for the 2 seat cool factor.
We all know Adam will put more than enough time and money into this CRX.
LZ on the Honda stuff is what I’m here for. The E36 and the CRX are my favorites.

I love Hondas Adam, I build them, race them, sell them. All of the above! The brief glimpses that have been shown on the engine bay looks like a b16 head on a GSR block (Poor Man’s Type R). GSR blocks are great for being boosted because the stock sleeves are thicker and have lower compression. HOWEVER the Type R head (b16) is very rev happy. Someone was probably planning to supercharge the car and run it like that

The B18c1 is definitely easiest accessible swap here. The B18c TypeR swaps are bringing anywhere from 5-7k RN where they aren't available from importers like they used to be. I love this CRX build cause I'm a huge EF Honda boi lol. I bought it's sister car a black Si Hatchback my senior year of high school in 2002 because my Gf had a CRX at the time. J loved that car and owned it for 14yrs! I ran the mini-me swap D16y8 head on 1.5L blocks and my Vtec blew a local tuners mind cause he made fun of us Honda guys but he drove mine and was geeked how it kicked in lol. Build this thing to the max and restore it! They are harder and harder to find clean now so this would be a awesome opportunity to bring one back to 100%. Love the content! Can't wait to see more!

2nd car I ever owned way back in 1997 was a 1989 civic hatchback. Basically a crx with a back seat.
I learned basic car control and some ebrake slides with it.
I owe my driving skill entirely to that chassis. Still got a ton of love for the EF.
The CRX is still one of my favourite Honda's. Good luck with the build!

I know alot of people hate on loud Honda's but I think they are some of the best sounding NA 4 cylinders out there.
Watching LZ whipping ripping that crx is like watching Snoop Doog smoke crack instead of chronic. Not the same thing they normally do, but entertaining nonetheless
Sure someone said it by now, but the gsr is US interga. The B18C is the jdm type R motor with that red wrinkle paint valve cover.
