My grandfather ate a breakfast of porridge with 2 cups of strong tea, 6 spoons of sugar in each. Lunch was 4 slices of pan bread thick with butter & bacon with the fat left on. Dinner was 4/5 potatoes with meat & veg. Fish on friday. He drank whisky with buckfast at the weekend & smoked a pipe. He also ate molasses & honeycomb & bee pollen. Cod liver oil from the bottle. He was tall, very lean, cycled 12miles a day, worked in a brickwork, retired at 84. Was knocked off his bike at 90 by a maniac doing 80mph, was ok after a day or two. Never had a cold nor flu, no vaccines ever. Never worried about anything in spite of many family issues. He had healing powers, people came from far and near to be cured by Healer Murphy. Lived till he was 104, died in his sleep. A grand old Irish man. 💚🇮🇪

RX DRUGS , namely Metformin plus Ibuprofen played a huge part in KILLING my Beloved Dave September 2011. Dr.Feldman M.D. Neurologist showed us the scan of Dave's brain. His brain stem exploded !!
He had also been prescribed a RX that caused his heart to skip beats & his Cardiologist told him that was "normal" for him !! My belief is that RX DRUGS & bad medical advice KILLED Dave ,the love of my LIFE !! Dave was just 72 & led an active life. We both loved ZUMBA as well as daily long walks on the beach. Few days before his death he was diagnosed with Sleep Apnea .Was to her a C- pap machine in 3 days !! We had met Dr Mack Jones ,author of the book DEADLY SLEEP & heard his talk ,as well as discussing Dave's health with him.

Once there were only a few clueful doctors like Richard Bernstein and Michael Eades, strangely both trained engineers. Now there are a lot more, also professors and researchers, but still only a small minority. Tim Noakes was prosecuted by dieticians for supporting low carb. When the court found in his favour the dieticians appealed the verdict and he was found not guilty a second time. A LOT of evidence was produced in the trials but failed to sink in to The Authorities. There was a huge "Banting" group on Facebook which was cancelled, it had a couple of million members. I believe it was later reinstated.

Kudos to you for not doing that. IMHO my doc is MY advocate and not one for big pharma or government. My public health doc wife could not empirically convince me I needed to take it, her argument was it's the right thing to do and 'trust the science'. Easier to fool than convince someone of that fact.

A great interview. My cholesterol came back at 9.6. This surprised me as I was diagnosed pre diabetic 7 months ago (which I have reversed) and I had not eaten any carbs and sugar within that time. I now know that LDL will increase considerably when not eating carbs and sugar so I am not concerned about this. My other results were good. My doctor rang me and immediately tried to get me to take statins. I said no because I am waiting to have a lipid test which I think should be part of the cholesterol test but I guess it’s too expensive. She then said to me you do know that your arteries are furring up. I said how do you know that. After about 30 seconds she said sorry I should not have said that. I despair. I think I know more about analyzing my results than she did. I’ve taken a lot of time researching and I am determined not to go on statins because of the side effects. Knowledge is king.

I would advise that you if you can to pay for a CT angiogram of your coronary arteries. It’s wise to find out what’s going before you implement a plan. I was fit and slim with marginally high Cholesterol. I got diagnosed with Afib and subsequently had a CT angiogram no one excepted it to show an issue. I had over 50% plaque in my LAD. I take a Statin and I eat a proper heart healthy diet. A lot of what Aseem is saying is bang on. But he’s not explaining that a lot of the studies on statins didn’t include diet restrictions. The studies that included dietary markers had very good results. Statins aren’t for everyone at all, he’s correct that they’re widely over prescribed. But if you have plaque in your artery’s they help calcify soft plaque the reduce inflammation and help thin the blood as well as reduce ldl and triglycerides. So anyone with high cholesterol or in their 40s-50s should get a CT calcium score or angiogram, before making any plans based off assumptions. If you’re over 70 don’t stress it.

As far as I know we've always foraged, gained sustenance from the land and hunted alongside that. Especially in early human history, hunts were not always successful but took a lot of time, energy and coordination which back then you couldn't take lightly. Just my thoughts 😊

@@mkell308 You're most welcome. I'm no expert but I'd say it would definitely worth mentioning it to his doctor to see if he can come off them for a while and see if there's any improvement in his cognitive function. One other thing that might be worth a try as well is either exogenous Ketones or MCT ( Medium Chain Triglyceride ) Oil number 8 (easily purchasable from the site with the same name as a famous river). MCT-8 Oil converts quickly in the liver to Ketones which can bypass any insulin resistance ( if present ) in the brain which may be preventing glucose from powering any areas of the brain which may be affected. Ketones can get into cells which can utilise them through a different pathway to that of glucose and therefore they don't need to rely on insulin being able to overcome any insulin resistance to get into the cells.

I just checked Dr. Ken Berry vids and he has a list and link to a study in a vid called " Cholesterol Meds DOUBLE Your Dementia Risk (Protect Your Brain!) 2024 " and it turns out that it's the " Lipophilic " statins that are the troublesome ones of which Lipitor is one. I'm no expert but I'd be onto your Dad's doctor to take him off, or at least switch the statin for a non-Lipophilic type to see if his condition improved over a week or three.
Also ... Since Alzheimer's has been dubbed " Type 3 Diabetes ", it is postulated that Insulin Resistance in certain parts of the brain may cause energy starvation to certain cells as Glucose can't get into the cells through the usual insulin assisted pathway ... HOWEVER ... Ketones are an alternative fuel source which enter the cells via a different mechanism and are therefore not affected by insulin resisitance and can re-energise cells which may be under-performing as a result of being depleted of Glucose. To that end, I would see if I could get a hold of and try exogenous Ketones and/or try taking MCT ( medium chain triglyceride ) Oil number 8 (coconut oil derivative) to boost my own liver's Ketone production. Best of luck to you and your Dad 😉👍

John thank you so much for this interview. I adore both of you and follow both of you. I was taught the same as you, but now appreciate the new research and clinical medicine. I also ende on the wrong side of Covid intervention. But the research proved otherwise. Thank you.

Your cardiologist is a healer I’d love to meet: as much as he appeals to my mind, as someone who advocates for informed choice, that dear doctor warms my heart . 🙏🏻💝 You both make me smile and feel hopeful. Thank you 🔆
