When I was growing up the medicine cabinet had a slot for razor blades for men's safety razors. If that wall was ever opened up someone was in for a big surprise.
I loved the baby plate with the girl with the gun! I actually just picked one up today that was similar... but it had a baby boy with a gun shooting a spider, LOL... I had two boys, so it pulled on my heart strings! Had to get it!
Hi Misty! I really enjoyed this trip with you! I always thought those balls were just decorative, neat to see they were neat for string. Love learning new things, even when you don't buy it, you still let us know about all the neat items! Thanks!💜
I'm guessing your family shopping trips were much like mine...I shopped and the family fizzled out of enthusiasm way before me. I do enjoy what I call 'window shopping' where I look, touch, feel, price, plan, etc. I get ideas of how to 'set things up' for design ideas, etc, I enjoyed this video. Lots of different things to see.
The candle that you didn't know who the guy was...his name is lemmy...he's from a group called motorhead (very very metal rock). He died a few years ago.
Was just about to post same 👍 Lemmy Kilmister: their most fascinating song title "Killed by Death" sticks with me. Can't decide if it's ridiculous or incredibly insightful 🤔
Thank you for taking us along, Misty! Oh, my, what treasures.I am drooling over those art deco Scottie dog bookends! So many fabulous items. Too bad for us resellers they are full retail price, but loving see them anyway.
Just starting to watch this video, and I just have to comment: I love your intro and outro music!! (I keep thinking I need to look up the song and listen to the whole thing, but I also keep forgetting to do it.)😁 But it's the best!!!
I live in Columbus, Indiana, forty-ish miles south of Indianapolis and I've been to Midland many times. If you like MCM you should come to my town and take the architecture tour as well. Buildings designed by both Saarinens, I.M. Pei, etc.
The footstool with the cowhide cover would be good for a man cave. Believe it or not I seen a small fridge with a cowhide cover. Probably at one time it was in a man cave. Thank you for the interesting video.
@@ThrifterJunkerVintageHunter that Anderson tile was neat. I was born in Elwood but live in Texas. I enjoy your videos. Started following you thru Jeffrey and Barb. They are awesome! You are too!
I have shopped there at Midland Antiques a few times in the past 25 years! It is very High priced, so I find myself not going there anymore. It's a nice shop but out of my range! LOL
I remember that gorgeous Christmas display as you walk in. I think you were with Jeffrey? Can't believe they take it down after Christmas and put it back up. And where woukd you keep such a thing!!
