- Anthony Borges dreamed of playing for Barcelona. Then the Parkland shooting devastated his school and his life.
Now his inspiring recovery has taken him to Camp Nou.
This is his story.

It's sad to see that he isn't smiling even when he is rewarded for his bravery, because of the PTSD from the shooting. And when he gets to the Camp Nou, he is smiling a lot and is very happy. What a story

@FEMTO it's quite common to have PTSD after an experience like this. Plus his mother literally said he wakes up with nightmares crying sweating and scared. He does suffer from PTSD, these are common symptoms of such condition

this guy is a real hero. Even though he thought he was gonna die, he tried to make sure other people were safe. Most people would have only tried to save themselves

Wow... He is such a hero! He risked his future of being a professional footballer for Barcelona to save all those kids in that classroom. I almost shed a tear when I saw him playing football again. Amazing! 👏

One day, When Anthony Borges gets older to become a football star for Barcelona, he'll become more of a star as well as the true Parkland survivor and hero we know of him.
And when I get older I’ll play against him while I’m at Madrid. Lol this was just to encourage him and to keep dreaming. But literally keep dreaming because they have 100 kids + who are already in the academy who are more talented and most of them won’t even get called up.
