I never get sick of the drone footage. I could watch it for hours. Maybe an idea for garden answer highlights is drone by the seasons. 2-3 mins of drone footage in spring summer fall and winter (and maybe a 5th cut with the holiday lights)

Maria O Braga right?! I love the pristine snow, but I live on the route to and from the school bus stop and the kids are FOREVER walking across my yard🤦🏼‍♀️ I don’t wanna be the crazy old lady that yells “Stay off my lawn!🤬” but man it’s a struggle sometimes to just smile as they have fun tromping through the snow. 🤷🏼‍♀️I guess as long as they don’t tromp on actual plants (they’ve come close😳) I’ll bite my tongue 🤪

After working so hard for many months to produce beautiful blooms for everyone to enjoy, it’s nice to see the plants and your property peacefully dormant. With the arrival of winter and a soft blanket of snow, Laura, you Aaron, and your plants have earned a well-deserved rest. Wow! One of my favorite garden tour videos. Great job editing. I loved the flashbacks of color and previous looks. You have accomplished so much in such a short time to make this garden yours, with your own vision. I know you’ll never be done with it, as gardens never stop evolving, but even your current ideas sound amazing. I can’t wait to see a glass greenhouse in your garden sooner than later.

Would you ever consider doing a fundraiser for the greenhouse you want? As a viewer I would LOVE to watch the process of you choosing it, having it built, and you re-designing the landscaping around it. It would be such an exciting project to watch happen. I would totally contribute to the fundraiser and I bet a bunch of other viewers would too.

The world truly is Russell's oyster. Your garden is maturing nicely, Laura, very different from even two years ago. So, are you planning to move those four boxwood cones or just remove them completely? I seem to remember your hope was that the smaller ones would catch up to the larger ones.. I'd be tired of waiting by now. Merry Christmas! ~ Lisa

It's beautiful, Laura, and you're right about enjoying the process. Just looked up from the screen to see the sun light up the red-twig dogwood behind the blue spruce, and part of my pleasure is remembering my fights with the deer to protect that particular little plant. Layers and layers in the garden and in the gardener's memory.

Laura, your property is just sooo beautiful at all times of the year! I can't help but think the city where I live here in TX has our own Botanic Garden funded of course by the city but I am fairly certain it is smaller than your property so just know that you are basically privately funding and running your own little botanic garden and THAT is an amazing accomplishment! I hope your Hartley greenhouse comes sooner than 10-15 years because it will just be a crown jewel for your property.

I hear you talk about winter interest all spring and summer. Now I get it ! The long view of the Red Point Maples says winter magic to me! I'm sitting on my patio in South Florida, so thank you Aaron & Laura for the snow day!!

The Midwest (Gary, IN) will not have a snowy Christmas but it is so nice to see your Cheerful winter landscape - I now understand how beautiful it is to have some winter interest in the garden- when you a facing months and months of bare trees and brown dry shrubs and sad perennials having some structure helps-having something in the garden interesting to look at helps with the winter blues and Russell is a card-Thank you so much for sharing your passion with all of us - Merry Christmas

LOVE THE SNOW!!! and the Winter Interest tour :)
The snow reminds me of when we lived in Arizona and my father had to literally "crawl" out of a window to remove snow from the doorway & huge icicles were hanging from the rooftop almost to the ground!!!

Everybody click on an add so they can do all they want to do!!!
A person could really really really do a lot with winter interest... maybe even make it more of a focus then spring interest and see what can be accomplished.
This video was really great. I always need help with winter interest and not many videos on it.... that are soooo helpful like this one.
    Thank you 🙏

I always watch the adds thinking that this gives Garden Answer $, but should I be clicking on each add instead? I don't really understand how this all works, please let me know since I'd like to support my favorite RUclipsrs in the best way possible!

@@christinepops5100 I'd like to know too because I watch youtube on my television through my roku app and there is no way to click on ads.

@@christinepops5100 Another viewer shared her search on the subject with me and found this -
I guess I'll be watching for 30 seconds, when I can stand it, from now on. Or, I'll just click on the ad and go to the advertiser's page and then jump back to the video. That might be faster and I think they get their best money for clicks. If it's something I don't desire to support, at all, I won’t click.
Anyway, the search revealed this info for RUclips creators:
It is important to remember, however, that you are not going to earn money simply because the ads are there. How many times have you clicked on straight past an ad when watching a video yourself. Viewers have to actively interact in some way with an ad for it to earn you money.
      Your ad options are:
Display ads beside your video - you will be paid either when a viewer sees or clicks on the ad, at the advertiser’s discretion
Overlay ads (small ads at the bottom of a video) - you only get paid if a viewer clicks on the ad to expand it
Skippable video ads (ads at the start of a video that a viewer can skip after five seconds) - you get paid if a viewer watches the whole ad (or at least 30 seconds if it’s longer). These are the most common type of RUclips ad.
Non-skippable video ads (ads at the start which viewers can’t skip over) and Bumper ads (short ads at the start of a video on mobile) - you get paid if a viewer watches an entire ad
Mid-roll ads (ads in the middle of a longer video) - payment depends, but usually, a viewer has to watch an entire ad for at least 30 seconds)
Be careful if you are tempted to use non-skippable ads. You need to have built up a dedicated audience who love you first. Most people do not have the patience to sit through a non-skippable ad unless they have a real desire to see the video.
      An important point to remember.
You won’t get paid just because you have ads on your videos. Your viewers have to actively watch your ads! BUT, most viewers skip ads! So you need high numbers of viewers first, to have enough of them bothering to click on your ads.

@Sun Soul This was VERY helpful to know. I watch all of the smaller ads, but have trouble watching the longer ones, i.e. 5 or more minutes, especially the 10+ minute ones. It's good to know that we only have to watch the first 30 seconds of any add. That will make the videos even more enjoyable. Thank you so much for sharing this!

I LOVE snow! Other than family, THAT'S what I've always missed most about my home state of Virginia! I love NC, too; and, I've lived here most of my life; but, growing up with lots of snows every winter is really special! Thank you guys so much for this unexpected video, Laura, Aaron & Russell! I appreciate you sharing that glorious snowfall! Everything is just beautiful & it's all "winter interest" to me! Russell, I've never seen a kitty enjoy snow so much! I adore your cats, guys; and, I'd love to find one just like Russell! All of your statuary, etc. looks so beautiful dressed in a layer of snow! You guys have accomplished an amazing amount of improvements in a very short time! However, I can't imagine your property without the gazebo! Laura, I requested/received my catalog from the company who makes the greenhouses you adore. There are some very nice ones; but, they're awfully expensive. To me, the gazebo is a warm & welcoming gathering place. A greenhouse would only be used by you, Laura. I do know how it feels to have your heart (& mind) set on something, though!
This video is special for so many reasons! I REALLY love the shots of how different each area looked in the summer! Thanks again, guys, for making this wonderful video & for sharing your winter wonderland with your viewers! God bless you all and have a very Merry Christmas! 🎅🎄🔔☃️❄
