This is my favorite tour so far. I grew up on a similar type of hillside in Marin County and I can remember the wonderful smell of the land as I was viewing this garden. Super interesting woman and career. I am really trying to up my California native garden game. The natives are not as easy to grow as any nursery cultivar (especially the PWs) in my heavy clay soil under lots of native oak trees. I already lost my only sticky monkey flower, but I plan to plant three more in the fall.

This is basically a retreat and wildlife sanctuary with endless party potential and a small orchard thrown in for fun. Those immense mossy rocks - wish I had a couple of those in my yard:). The native wetlands - well tended, such a joy to see! Essentially, a private paradise! Loved the 400 year old oak that the house was built around. The rock garden at the entrance - so well done, those containers really look good in that setting! My favorite plants were the rose bush left by the prior owners and the wild Elderberries... Thanks for another fantastic tour - loved it!

It sure reminds me of the Eichler homes in my area where you have flat roofs and lots of windows to view the outside and to let the sun into the various garden rooms in the home. So beautiful.
