I appreciate that you are considerate of the fact that you do not have the time for a dog. It's a big commitment. Many people dive in because of the attraction to a fantasy life, and then regret it, and then the animal suffers. Thank you for being so conscientious.
I understand your aversion to playing the piano on camera. Not everything needs to be shared and sometimes we do things just for ourselves or for a select few. That’s wonderful. Happy anniversary to you both! 🥂
Laura: “weather is out of our control “ Aaron: (with mysterious expression) “ or IS it out of our control?!!” X file music plays, cut to jet trails in the sky…. I laughed out loud. Good thing I wasn’t taking a drink of coffee at that moment or it would have been spewed everywhere. 🤣🤣🤣
That was so unexpected! Aaron becoming more comfortable being included in the weekly updates and him answering or giving his opinions on guestions asked is a joy to watch. His eyes just light up when it comes to trees. He's done his homework in that area and grasses. An you can tell he notices things in the landscape that catches his eyes and knows how well they're doing. He likes red. So does my husband. A rooster red crepe myrtle I planted two years ago, he was just talking about this morning. And the red hibiscus, I have two of them. He talks about have I seen the blooms on them,as if he doesn't realize who does the work around here. 😂 He never says a word about much of anything else. My daisy Mae's were beautiful this year, my heritage pink rose has bloomed all spring thru summer, still blooming as my other roses are. He did make a comment on some coleus, I'm letting the flowers stay on since it's fall now. This year I had so many to come up voluntarily. They are just beautiful, an I transplanted some to pots that were small, just two weeks ago. They have filled the pot already. I think Laura is correct how red just draws the eyes away from everything else around it.
Totally respect Laura's privacy with the piano. When I was 12 I regretfully quit piano lessons because I forgot my peice during a recital. Twice. I hated performing. So I understand Laura. You share so much of your life with us. We don't need everything. 😊
I agree with Aaron on breaking up the tour videos a little more. I really enjoy when you take your time discussing the plants/trees and show closes ups of the blooms/structure. I can’t remember what the area around the chicken coop looks like right now. In earlier years, that was always one of my favorite spots to watch you plant up and see its progression throughout the season. As always, thank you for sharing your space and knowledge!
I agree about taking your time with the tours and dividing them into as many parts as you need. You wouldn’t have all these viewers if we didn’t like looking at it. Not having a tour would be like not giving your restaurant customers a menu. A tour is like your total livelihood! Anybody can stop watching it if they want to! Please don’t be shy about as thorough a tour as you like.
So glad Aaron has mastered the drone! I can’t imagine not being able to see the garden from overhead. It lets you orient yourself to where everything lies in the space. 😊
Laura, you and Aaron are definitely part of my routine and thank you so much for that. I totally understand issues will arise and am just happy later when the video popups.
In South Africa at the start of Spring the desert "Karoo" goes in full bloom and throws carpets of daisies in various colors, Namaqualand Daisies. The displays attracts all kinds of tourists, its too beautiful and this year has also been an exceptional year down here. Love the channel.
I love the idea of a series of smaller detailed garden tours. Erin The Impatient Gardener recently did that and it was nice to hear more detail about the specific plants.
@@GoingGreenMom this is a little more detailed. Similar to their older garden tours when they had a much smaller space. Back then they had more time to talk about the different plants in a space and what they liked or didn’t like. It’s like what she does now except she was able to mention more of the plants in each section, rather than just one or two.
Are you crazy?? That’s all I ever wanna do is look and talk about your plants.. it’s the frosting on your cake! I love the new highlight Saturday videos also! I’m feeling like I might cry if they stop! YES!! Monicas!! Can’t wait to see her space! 😊😊
I live in Ohio where it is rolling, green, and lush 😂. But having been in Montana quite a bit, which has a similar landscape to yours , I can definitely feel your excitement over any color other than brown !😅😅 Every area has its own unique beauty. Some westerners feel boxed in when they come to our area because of all the trees , but to us they are beautiful. ❤
Great recap - finishing the pond pathways and patio and planting the trees in the dirtland were my favorite - I'm excited to see Monica and Nicks place 👍👏😊
Here's an idea if you decide to renovate your house: rent a big RV and park it on your property. That way, you would still be close to your plants and projects and the kids wouldn't feel too uprooted.
I have planted bubble gum petunia every year around my swimming pool and they have never disappointed! They are actually growing up the walls of the pool! I plant 12 plants in a 39” deep and 40’ around bed and they fill in the area completely you can see no bed.I will forever do this it is absolutely stunning!
Good morning, Laura and Aaron, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b Happy 17th Anniversary and MANY years to come. My husband and I just celebrated our 50th anniversary ❤️ 💕 ❤ Happy Gardening Everyone 👩🌾 👍❤Peggy❤
We drove to baker city last week from Vancouver canada and saw the yellow flowers. We used our plant app to identify them as Boulders Sunflower, a wild sunflower native to parts of oregon and california. We thought oregon landscape always looked like that! Excited to know we saw the desert in flower that delighted you guys too! We stopped at Amdrews and met Susan and saw the parakeets too! ❤ we are now camping in lincoln city and heading back to Vancouver! ❤ we LOVE Oregon ❤
LOL, when you answered your phone at about 27:38, It sounded more like yellow, than hello. You're the first person I've ever heard say it like that other than my mother and it made me laugh. it brought back a lot of fun memories of teasing and mimicking her until we were all laughing. Thank you for that. It made my day.
My dog Bogie and I have gardened together for 12 years. He has been a great help, staring down the wild animals, checking my planting skills, watching me do my thing! He does love to sit among the hosta in the shade😊 such a great garden companion ❤
Dear Laura and Aaron, Thank you for all that you do and, most importantly, enjoying what you do. I watched this episode the day you released it but I have to say, at the mark of 0:08, when Aaron is once again messing with you in a hubby lovey-dovey way, reminded me of your older videos from 5 years ago. If you can take a clip from "winterizing greenhouse planting north pole" when Aaron is driving through the weeping willow tree just to mess with you 😅😅😅 was so funny. Just wanted to point out how fun it is to watch your old videos and also for inspiration. Happy 17 years of marriage. I gotta say, you have inspired us, both of you, to not give up on our visions. Love me some garden answer throwback videos. Should make these one of your episodes. It's so fun to watch May God continue to bless you as you bless others with your love of gardening and nature.
Are you kidding me Laura???? I could watch hours and hours of your garden tours and I love when Aaron goes slow with the drone so I can see every nook and cranny 😂 Thank you for your videos!!!
I am cracking up about the admission to arguments! This is exactly how I want your marriage to be. That is true partnership. Butting heads with differing opinions, yet still able to work through it all. ❤ happy anniversary!
Laura, once upon a time, you said that if a plant isn't working for you any more, get rid of it. Thank you--that was so freeing!!! Per your conversation about dividing perennials (when and can you), that too would be very helpful.
While hiking in my state (Arkansas) I met a woman from Arizona and asked her how she liked our state. Her response: "It's so green! And the trees grow over the roads!" Exactly! We LOVE our trees, and the shade and Fall color they provide. 😊
I look forward to your videos each day with my morning coffee but by all means live your life and celebrate the family milestones. We will all survive. 😂 Happy Anniversary!!
Loved this video. You guys do such an amazing job on your gardens. Aaron your so funny. I love your comments. Laura you are so talented with gardening, flower arrangements, playing the piano. What can you not do? I am so blessed that you are open to sharing your life with us. I have learned so much from you. I use to hate gardening when I was younger because I always killed plants. Now I absolutely love gardening and sharing what I do with my granddaughters. Thank you both so much! Oh and wishing both a very happy 17th anniversary and definitely take a break. You all definitely deserve it.
I, for one, am always up for longer, more detailed garden tours!!! It would be great to see updates on all the things we’ve watched you plant over the years.
Our border collie Jack hasn’t ever bothered anything in my vegetable gardens or flower gardens. He’s the sweetest and smartest(smarter than some folks I know 😂)!
Love hearing you answer Monica’s second call saying “yellow”. Don’t know why but that’s how I answer friends’ call too. Love how real & relatable you are. And especially love your videos! 💜🌳💜🌸💜🌱💜
Always LOVE the Sunday Recap! Thank You Both! And awesome quick shot of the chemtrails Aaron! Weather manipulation is such a REAL THING!!! Hugs GA Family!
Weaponization of weather is still ( for now) a conspiracy theory. Weather manipulation is readily admitted and publicized. Georgia sued Florida for moving a hurricane and causing it to landfall in Georgia. They lost because the judge said nobody could prove Florida could guide it precisely. This was quite a few years ago.
FernsAnd said take a break from GA, So, what State do you live in? I thought your mom & dad lived in Canada 🇨🇦 Hum. I'm confused! I love that you & mom go antique shopping! And Monica ❤️ Nurse Judi in Scottsdale AZ and E Minister. Happy Anniversary! ❤️ Many prayers for you and your family 🙏🏻
Every once in a while in a camera shot or video, I catch a glimpse of your house with all the trees and gardens; honestly it reminds me of something you might see in New Orleans in the French Quarter - I love when I see it that way and get that vibe!
YES Laura ❣️ It IS part of my routine 😂❤ I'm totally addicted to you and the family and the beautiful gardens you're creating. I have learned SO much and appreciate it daily. Now all I need is some little elves Paul and Bethany to help keep things tidy 😂❤❤❤ love and admiration to everyone ❣️❣️❣️
You can divide hibiscus plants in the fall. Google has a lot of information on how and when to do it. I got several starts from a friend in early fall. She said just to plant the eye of the plant just a little below the soil and keep it evenly moist, not drowned. They all came up beautifully.
So excited to see how your sisters garden is going. I just pulled out a bunch of over grown shrubs the previous owner planted too close together the change is amazing so much more open on my verandah now and bonus I get to go shopping for more appropriate plants yay! I will be using cardboard to expand the beds so they aren’t so narrow. You have instilled in me the need for wider garden beds. Thanks for all your knowledge and advice 😊
Oh my that’s my next big project. It’s like they were planted too close even when they were brand new plants, just a few inches apart. There’s a huge old rose of Sharon taller than my house, with something else that grows up one side of it. They look like the same plant. Then there’s a mulberry tree with it’s maybe two inch trunk touching concrete. With three or four other shrubs planted a couple inches behind. It becomes just a giant mass of unhappy plant in the summer. They were all left to their own devices and have huge trunks and branches. I have no idea how or if I’ll be able to pull it all up myself, even with my husband. Might have to hire help. But I’ll never understand what they were thinking when planting all that lol.
sounds very familiar. I just chainsawed them at the base after pruning off bottom branches to get access, more than one of the trunks was growing flat to the ground trying to get space to grow.
@@sEaSoNaLMiLkGood luck getting rid of the mulberry! Those roots are invasive and very hard to kill. I have some I need to kill also. I am planning to cut a slit in the bark and put a tiny bit of roundup in it to see if that will do it, before I cut the trees down. By the way, mine have been planted by birds, maybe yours was also?
Please Take time to rest. The wonderful year you have had with the weather. Permitting so much pleasure in the results from all, your hard work. Premake some 15. min videos and relax in your own splendid Space. For a week, you deserve to recharge. Thank you from English Lady in France.
My mother lived in Palmdale California, which is high desert, and I live in Phoenix Arizona, which is low desert. Most of the time it’s dry scrub and dirt. But, after an exceptionally wet season, the wildflowers are stunning and as far as the eye can see. It’s miraculous what is waiting under that parched dirt.
Aaron, you might look into new doors on kitchen cabinets to update them. You probably have good solid wooden "boxes" which is uncommon today. From out here looking in, your home is beautiful and comfortable!
Hi Laura and Aaron, I know exactly what you are referring to in regard to the landscape in eastern Oregon. I lived in eastern Washington for 13 years and am very familiar with the views (or lack of). But, just loved the weather. Only 7 inches of rain or so a year and living 2 blocks from the Columbia river was great. Every time I would say I live in Washington state, someone would always say "Oh, doesn't it rain there a lot?" They all think of Seattle right away. Now back living in PA and love it here, too. Enjoy your channel and have learned so much from you guys. Keep up the excellent job.
Props to your mom, your house plants behind you. " Look, marvelous!"!!! It's the 1st day of fall, and all my house plants outside are all that's on my mind to get in.
Awww. Happy 17th!!! My hubby and I just celebrated 17 years of being together (labor day weekend) too. Yes!!! Take the day off!’n the whole weekend!!! You deserve it!!! Appreciate you and Aaron and Family. For everything. Sharing your expertise and life with us!!! 💜💜💜
Hahahaha I can tell Aaron is editing the videos! The tour videos were sooo beautiful! Oh and I have 3 golden retrievers the newest being a male puppy. And oh boy! He has takin out 2 begonias and a couple of my other plants. 😂 it’s hilarious and NOT hahaha but I’d never have it any other way!
Oh Laura, I would happily spend a week long enjoying a garden tour each day! Can’t get enough of your gorgeous gardens! 😍 Happy anniversary you two! Hope you have fun celebrating!
I love how real you are regarding putting your best forward, but it never feels fake. It would be fun to see a blooper video though. Just something quick/funsies. And I appreciate your honesty about the time commitment it would take for a dog. To do it right (for all involved) would take a serious amount of training and time.
Most here has the video as part of our routine. Your private life is private but your garden is ours. At least, your gift to us. Thank you for sharing it with us. ❤
Living in western North Dakota, I totally understand when the hills and prairies are green this time of year! We have also enjoyed more rainfall this summer. I traveled about 1 1/2 hrs. to visit my parents last weekend and enjoyed the green hills tremendously!
Sending love and best wishes to you both, Happy Anniversary! 🎉❤🎉 I think once you run out of garden beds to plant, horses and dogs will be a fun adventure to share!!! My grandfather always said get a mutt vs pure bread- they carry the best of personalities - after the puppy stage is over they will mold their lives to yours! 😅❤😊
Mixed breed dogs have stronger genetics also. (In general). Pure bred dogs sometimes have a factor of in breeding and often have predispositions for inherited health problems.
Regarding the ditch daisies on the hills, we had the same thing happen here in Arizona on the side of I-17 at Sunset Point, this April 2023. It's called a "Super Bloom". We were amazed at how beautiful it was. People were pulling off the freeway to run into the fields and take photos. The flowers were taller than most of the folks that were in the fields! The Super Bloom even made the local news!
One of the things that might affect the water distribution of the green stalk planter is clogging? Laura put tape over the center water opening of each level when she was filling it with soil to avoid the soil from getting into that opening. Then remove the tape and put the white pan on top lining up the water holes to each planting reservoir.
The beginning of this video is really interesting to me when you talk about the native landscape in your area being basically brown. I live in southern Indiana. We see tons of wild flowers, native flowering trees and shrubs all through the summer and then in the Fall we have a beautiful canopy of trees whose leaves become yellow, orange, and red. October in Indiana is absolutely stunning!
You wouldn’t be performing in front of “people” it would be us. Your YT family! AND THANK GOD you agreed to go along with Aaron’s desire to film some videos! What do you think you two would be doing now if you hadn’t?
Totally relate to the native landscape being more green this year. I am in high desert too (Northeastern California), we typically have a nice green Spring with a brown summer, but not this year! It's really hard to find gardening channels that understand the high desert climate and I'm really glad I found your channel. I love your garden tours so more is better imo. I had a huge invasive weed issue on my little property (.6 acres) and I used cardboard and mulch in the worst areas to choke the weeds out and so far it's working great. I didn't want to use weed barrier in places I planned to plant up in the next year.
Happy Anniversary 🎉❤to the sweetest, kindest and most hardworking couple on RUclips. I have learned so many valuable things from your videos. Thank you a million times and I hope you enjoy your day.🥳💝
🙋♀️ Eastern Montana native here! When your daisy video popped up, I was like, "WHOH!!!!" I know exactly what you mean. Also, when I was back visiting MT in July, I was like "MOM! The south hills are GREEN!" 45 years, and I've never remembered it being so green. 2:04
Happy 17th anniversary Aaron and Laura! Hope you have a fantastic date day! ( probably tree and plant shopping) lol Laura answering phone…….. yello is how we all answer the phone to and the other party usually says, pink, red, blue etc. Funny 😄
I can relate as I live in a high desert valley surrounded by mountains. It has been a very long tie since I seen our mountains that green. This year has been a blessing. I totally understand how you feel about this year.
These highlight videos are probably my favorite of all you produce! 🙂 Regarding work on your house, just don't put off any maintenance on the outside of your house, painting, roof, etc. Although I guess rot isn't as much as issue where you guys live. You just never want the "outside" to make it past the barriers (paint, weatherproofing, etc) to impact the actual structure of your house. I'm sure you probably know that anyway. My dad was hit/miss about redecorating inside but he always made sure the outside paint and roof were doing their jobs. Cheers. 🙂
This video seemed so much more natural. I love the little video "annunciation points" throughout. They broke up the "office meeting" type style. You guys should do that more often😊❤
I appreciate that you are considerate of the fact that you do not have the time for a dog. It's a big commitment. Many people dive in because of the attraction to a fantasy life, and then regret it, and then the animal suffers. Thank you for being so conscientious.
They used to have a German Shepard.
@@liliromero4910Just for a little while, Russell couldn’t handle it!
Yes, those of us watchung for a long time know they tried this and is was not a good fit. They re-homed him and moved on.

Finally, a sane take on this. Thank you.

Aaron: (with mysterious expression) “ or IS it out of our control?!!” X file music plays, cut to jet trails in the sky….

Daisy covered mountain was stunning! Looking forward to Monica’s garden! Happy anniversary!!!
I don’t know that I have ever seen that happen (the ditch daisies ). And I’m from that area. Have seen decades of summers there.
Is your 'ditch daisy' the Arrowleaf Balsamroot, commonly called the Oregon Sunflower? Could you show a close-up of that native plant?
Laura, you and Aaron are definitely part of my routine and thank you so much for that. I totally understand issues will arise and am just happy later when the video popups.

Always LOVE the Sunday Recap! Thank You Both! And awesome quick shot of the chemtrails Aaron! Weather manipulation is such a REAL THING!!! Hugs GA Family!
That was a joke. It’s absolutely not a real thing. 🙄
🙄
These videos are the best way to start a day. Thank you for providing content that's an escape from the noise in the rest of the world.
Good morning all have a safe and blessed day ❤️
You gotta live your life, man! Preach it , Aaron 😂
Love these recaps, with the chit chat back and forward between you and Aaron. ❤
Good Morning Laura n Aaron so happy to see you this morning it's wonderful you got to go on your trip
Aaron, you might look into new doors on kitchen cabinets to update them. You probably have good solid wooden "boxes" which is uncommon today. From out here looking in, your home is beautiful and comfortable!
Happy Anniversary Laura and Aaron.🎉
I love when you two banter! LOL. So cute :)
Good morning, Laura & Aaron. Great recap! Have a Blessed Day 😊🐈
Happy Anniversary!!! So blessed to be one of the beneficiaries of such a wonderful partnership!
I’m loving the inserts; the chemtrail one made me laugh out loud.
Props to your mom, your house plants behind you. " Look, marvelous!"!!! It's the 1st day of fall, and all my house plants outside are all that's on my mind to get in.
Happy Anniversary to two of my favorite people!! You were meant to be together and I love that we all benefit from your beautiful relationship.💕💐🍾💕
How many of us would sit there for two hours while you did a tour of the property? I would! I'd just get my buttered hot popcorn and enjoy!
We use cardboard under compost/mulch in our flower beds and have for years. It works great! The cardboard does decay fully.
Aaron’s comment about us being able to control the weather…😂😂😂 Oh My Gosh! hilarious!
Living in western North Dakota, I totally understand when the hills and prairies are green this time of year! We have also enjoyed more rainfall this summer. I traveled about 1 1/2 hrs. to visit my parents last weekend and enjoyed the green hills tremendously!
Absolutely, take off for your anniversary. Keeping a strong and healthy marriage benefits you guys, your kids, and us. Congratulations 🎉
Your property is lovely. It has changed so much since you first moved in. You have your own park. Beautiful and tranquil.
I'm so glad you agreed to make videos with Aaron Laura. Geesh. Where would we be without Laura from Garden Answer!!!!?????
Sending love and best wishes to you both, Happy Anniversary! 🎉❤🎉
I think once you run out of garden beds to plant, horses and dogs will be a fun adventure to share!!!
For a lot of us you have become family and a part of our lives ❤❤
Regarding the ditch daisies on the hills, we had the same thing happen here in Arizona on the side of I-17 at Sunset Point, this April 2023. It's called a "Super Bloom". We were amazed at how beautiful it was. People were pulling off the freeway to run into the fields and take photos. The flowers were taller than most of the folks that were in the fields! The Super Bloom even made the local news!
The chem trail out of control meme moment was so funny😂😂😂
One of the things that might affect the water distribution of the green stalk planter is clogging? Laura put tape over the center water opening of each level when she was filling it with soil to avoid the soil from getting into that opening. Then remove the tape and put the white pan on top lining up the water holes to each planting reservoir.
Good morning all. Happy Anniversary Laura and Aaron!! 🎉🎊
Longer tours!? Yes! ! ! ! Oh my word yes. It’s some of my fav content
No worries, Laura and Aaron - we love long garden tours - the longer the better!! Happy Anniversary♥
I have never looked at the kitchen lol. I love watching and supporting you!
Happy 17th anniversary Aaron and Laura! Hope you have a fantastic date day! ( probably tree and plant shopping) lol
Laura answering phone…….. yello is how we all answer the phone to and the other party usually says, pink, red, blue etc. Funny 😄
Congratulations Aaron and Laura! Hope y'all celebrate some!
Thank you for being part of my day. Just love the drone shots so much.
