Your husband is a troop! oh Gosh he really knows to do things and everything looks perfect. What a great family. I really enjoy your videos. God bless you guys
You will have a big problem with predators ! 1. Белка. Beech marten (Martes foina) 2. Невестулка , least weasel (Mustela nivalis) 3. Златка, European pine marten (Martes martes) А, very small hole is needed for the weasel to pass through. The least weasel has a thin, greatly elongated and extremely flexible body with a small, yet elongated, blunt-muzzled head which is no thicker than the neck. And the beech marten and especially European pine marten can open any one of thеse doors on Chicken Coop. You need a locking system and metal mesh " Мрежа Рабица " .
Yes I knowwww it's not finished yet 😆🙈 I absolutely WILL NOT put the chicks in the coop until it has been predator proofed. You'll see in our next video the full enclosure with double fencing and metallic mesh to go over the holes. There's no way they'll go in there with the holes open like this 😆🙈 We just ran out of time and energy!
Such a lovely video! Chickens make good pets for kids. Once the garden starts producing and you have eggs from your birds, you will be well on your way to self-sufficiency. I was so glad to see Anthony wearing safety glasses. Well done on that awesome chicken coop. Things are really coming together for you. I am delighted that things are going so well. Bright Blessings from Canada.❤
Well I am gonna end up writing you a comment again and this time is not even gonna end up blabber about me ~maybe a little bit. So those chickens made me curious and impressed me. First, actually very nice looking ~chicken house. Great craft for Anthony. What I am now thinking is more of the "entire long term cycle"... meaning... Do you think you will one day be able to successfully hatch entire new chickens of some of the eggs (because I know the idea is to eat most of them on like ~omelettes and scrambled eggs ~also probably sugar, milk, eggs cream, not sure the English name.) But if your chicken house can produce 2 or 3 fully grown new Hens an year, you can use the older ones 1, by 1 in order of appearance of the new ones... for some Holydays chicken dinner. Like Christmas stuffed hen, Eastern Stuffed hen... Thanks Giving ~Stuffed hen. Who doesn`t like eating fat, home grown, baked hens with like cabbage and rice. Once upon a time... Probably more than 31 years ago, some of my earliest memories was in my grandmother`s village house, her father (my, by than over 90 year old Grandfather, because I am sure he made it to past 100 in before he died) demonstrated me how to decapitate a hen with one of his small additional building chicken coupe hens. He took it, placed it on a wide stub used for chopping wood normally, took the wood chopping axe, cut it`s head clean with one strike in the middle of the neck and he even let the decapitated torso to run for a while without a head in before it blead to dead dead. Obviously a memorable event for young me. Later on my Aunt`s men (because they weren`t formally married me thinks, but they were long term living together) while they were taking care of me, over the weekends or something, on their mountain ~ish villa house in a small old village, show me the full procedure of separating a sheep from the flock. Tying it by it`s rear legs, hanging upside down, cutting it`s throat till it bleeds dead, than cutting and peeling the skin off... Another memorable experience indeed.
Thanks for sharing your experiences!! We are vegetarian, so we won't kill the hens to eat them. We may eat the occasional egg from time to time, but we will see how it goes. They are more of an educational experience for the children to take care of etc. Thanks for watching! ☺️💕
Hello there No need for cleaning their vent just put some vaseline no poop will stick problem solved ,hope that helps thank you for sharing love your videos.
Love you guys - and that chicken coup is a work of art!! 🐣🐣🐣Your girls are having the most wonderful childhood - looking forward to your next installment - my little dose of BG heaven that keeps me going till I get back there this summer!🥰🌈🤗
Hey guys, great job constructing the chicken coop. Regarding Marmite - you can order online like I did from Indian online store in Varna called Sokoni (Сокони). I usually order from them Aussie made Vegemite (no offense, but I like it better :) )
I raised chickens for a dozen years. Did you say they were week old? I'm sure you can look after them but that's young to be aw.ay from their mum. I always let mine have 6 weeks
@@hamzarehman2848 stressed, yes! I know what you mean. I was worried we were coming across as angry 🙈 Never angry, but certainly stressed. And now we are much happier. Thank you ❤️
sorry for the off topic question, are your kids allowed to eat spaghetti bolonesse ,or they have to follow your vegan lifestyle .btw i like your videos they are amazing
We have spaghetti all the time but with meat-free mince instead. They can make their own choices about meat when they are older. We eat so many amazing meals that I doubt they will be bothered by it anyway. They had vegan sushi bowls last night!
So smart. Wonderful idea to have your kids growing up surrounded by nature
They absolutely love it! Though they are constantly covered in mud and all sorts 🤣

Oh my god you're so cute, I adore how the kids are causing constant rukus in the background
Literally 24/7 😆 But it's lovely hearing them laughing and playing all the time 💕

We don't use vaseline, but thanks for the advice.
What a life ,loving the muccy kids living the best life ❤
Yes they are definitely living their best life out here ☺️❤️
Bulgarian yellow and white cheese, Kashkaval cheese fried with marmite on toast. Shear joy
Ooh that sounds lovely! Unfortunately Anthony is lactose-intolerant 🙈🙈🙈
oooh must try this!!
Great job! The chickens will be so rewarding 💖
We are already very content and the girls love them! Can't get enough of watching them scratching about. They are already getting so big! 😊💕

Think the guys were calling out to buy scrap metal. Walnuts are usually ready for sale in September.
Ah ok! Thanks!
I raised chickens for a dozen years. Did you say they were week old? I'm sure you can look after them but that's young to be aw.ay from their mum. I always let mine have 6 weeks
I think they were just under two weeks old (about 11 days) when we got them. They are doing really well!
@@the_phoenixproject I'm glad to hear that!
You guys seem like you've settled down and you don't seem as angry 😅
When were we angry?? 🤣
@the_phoenixproject No, I mean you look less stressed, sorry. But seriously, you do look much happier.
@@hamzarehman2848 stressed, yes! I know what you mean. I was worried we were coming across as angry 🙈 Never angry, but certainly stressed. And now we are much happier. Thank you ❤️
@the_phoenixproject. We're glad to see that you're much happier. Hope more goes in your favour and really hope your electrical issues get sorted.
@@hamzarehman2848 Yes, thank you! We hopefully will have Anthony's Dad (an electrician) coming out soon to help us re-wire the house 😊❤️

Walnuts? At this time of year? How odd....they aren't ready until September! Maybe they wanted to buy stored ones?
Sounds like maybe they are asking for scrap metal and I was wrong 😆
They probably ask for walnut from the previous year, also for scrap metal, old washing machine and many other things 😅
I suggest you make a wooden Alaska mill. Lots of information on RUclips. Buy a chainsaw for your mill and cut your own planking.
Thanks for the advice! ☺️
Raised beds out of roof tiles
We are experimenting with a few things! ❤️
Mayb should of had the roof tilt the other way so won't drip on nesting boxes??
Good point, we'll take a look when it is in situ!
