The athletes needs support and not be cowed when they speak out. They are not kids! Why are they subjected to threats by these arrogant unqualified individuals. It’s easier to get rid of the members of the JOA and JAAA than of these professional athletes. Enough of the nepotism, friendship and the go along to get along. The athletes deserves better.

Why do they have two separate organizations in any case i.e. JAAA and JOA? This is the problem, but everybody wants to be the leader, and now they disgraced Jamaica in front of the whole world. What a disgrace! Yes, I agree, fire them immediately with no bonuses, and revoke all their benefits. If they refuse to leave throw them out on their darn bums. They have put our athletes in a state of depression, I am sure.

We see these athletes performing all these years and sometimes we are very callous towards them with our comments when they dont do as well as "we" expected them to. We don’t know what they have to face or put up with in the background. When they are not happy it is very difficult to perform at their best. Let us be more sensitive because all we see is what they do on the track we are not privy to what’s happening in their training time or preparation for the big events. Thank God for Daniel speaking out, let's see what will now happen. And even with that they were threatening her and trying to keep her silent. This is truly sad 😔

These people offer no solutions. Its all about personal beefs. The JAAa does not have a proper setup consequently the athletes MUST be allowe to be accompanied by personal coaches. No high school coach must be imposed on adults.
As long as the athletes are under private tutelage pating own way things will be this way. Instead of trying to takke over Francis and Mills athletes, provide support for those who don't have a club home but have potential

Nervousness was a strong confound to the perfornances of the Jamaican athletes at the 2024 Olympics. In preparation to compete in major championships, the Jamaican team should hire a provisional neuropsychologist to orient the athletes in techniques with which they can use nervousness as a reflexive complement to reinforce excelling in their feats of choice.

@@jamdum2290 well Usain said “ it wasn’t fun anymore” and that’s why he left. Maybe it was due to internal drama. Yohan Blake just came out saying he feels unappreciated and is going to run somewhere else. JAAA is responsible for promoting them and did not execute. Because technically he should have taken over from bolt once Bolt retired.

The issue of funding must be discussed, I think Jamaica is missing out a a huge funding source. If you look at the UK, their success across all sports isn't about talent, it's funding. Their athletes are not funded by the government but the lottery, every year a percentage of the lottery profits must go to funding sports across the country, from school to professionals athletes.

JAMAICA'S SUB-PAR PERFORMANCE AT PARIS OLYMPICS
A nation divided against itself MUST fall/fail. This is by far the WORST performance of JAMAICA in any major athletic championship since the 1996 Atlanta Olympics in which JAMAICA medal haul was also 1 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze. This sub-par performance of JAMAICA’s track athletes has come at a time when the administrators of the nation’s sports governing bodies (JAAA & JAO) are at war with each other. The conflict between the heads of these sports governing bodies started when the current head of the JAAA was a member of the JAO. It’s ironic that our participation in the Paris Olympics started with setbacks in the women's 100m/200m and it also did not end well for JAMAICA on the penultimate day of the Paris Olympics with disaster in the women's sprint hurdle final & women's 4 x 400m relay final.
THE UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES OF BAD LEADERSHIP
The JAA & JAO for years have not been operating in the best interest of our athletes. The JAA & JAO are grossly negligent, their INCOMPETENCE cost Nayoka Clunis not to participate in the Paris Olympics. On top of that, the petty bickering between the heads of the JAAA & JOA set the stage for the sub-par performance of some our athletes in the field events which accounted for the majority of the medals earned by JAMAICA at the Paris Olympics. For years it has been the practice of the JAAA & JOA to give greater support to athletes participating in the track events. It is time that the unfair treatment of our field event athletes stop. With responsibility comes accountability. FOR the better of Jamaica’s athletics both the JAA & JAO need to have new leadership. These sport governing bodies should not be led by people who mimic the behaviour of the typical Jamaican politicians. In addition to that, there needs to be stronger intervention from the current MINISTER OF SPORT to address the continuing strife between the nation’s sports governing bodies to ensure that the athletes and their coaches representing the country get the required support. It can’t be business as usual when both sport associations have been beneficiaries of millions of Jamaican tax dollars from the government through its athlete assistance programme.

When you looked on how long Donald Qurrie and Merlene otty ran for Jamaica and did not earned any money comparing to these present days athletes, after an athlete competing for years. Those athletes should be able to improve their skills, some of those athletes will not improve at all. These kinds of bad behaviour only started since Steve Francis entered the fray and some, of the other coaches is. Treating the athletes like they owned them,I understood that the Jamaican athletes are in different camps. Which is all nonsense of some of those athletes abnoxious behaviour,we knew the days. When the athletes never really getting any help out of the Olympics,or the world championship games. The government needs to stop Steve Francis and some of those coaches, going with the athletes at the games. It only started when Steve Francis went with team to Australia 🦘 i don't remember,if it was the Olympics or the world championship games. When they almost expelled the Jamaican athletes out of the stadium 🏟️, because of the bad behaviour also in Japan. When I listened to some of those athletes who is complaining about nonsense about their individual coach,it is all nonsense. I know that you have some cyber bullies out there, you as the elders cannot tell them anything. When you looked at the good athletes over the years who is always medalling for Jamaica is not complaining, looking at Shelley Ann Fraser Price,Usain Bolt, Asafa Powell, Elaine Thompson Heray,Uan Blake ,I am just using the out standing for Jamaica over the years. I hates to hear athletes trying to blames people for their failures, because all of the athletes them have enough times . To prepare themselves for the Olympics games, they have 4 long years and they. Used other events like the world championship games, the Commonwealth, the Caribbean games also the diamond 💎 league championship games every year and. If an athlete is not improving from all of those events, they are no good at all. So having a coach at the Olympics,it is not going to help them at all. I heard the argument about to removing the old guards and, replace them with younger generation. It is all nonsense they are talking, you need former successful athletes to take over certain areas. Who can help to enhanced the younger generation athletes, you cannot used failures to be coached. Because they does not have anything to offer to the younger generation, that is where the problems is. Let me hear some of those cyber bullies comments, because a lot of them does not know nothing about track and field. It is only been the athletes them now is making some money, comparing the days. When all athletes was classified as amateur, there was no rewards for competing more than your medals if you win or placed.v
